Peaceful Greetings,

For the past 2 nights, I have had nightmares, and I don't know why. In both of the dreams, I yelled out and awakened from sleep. I remembered a little about both dreams, and also that one of them seemed longer than the other. Sure, I have had a few things on my mind lately, and I wondered if my thoughts subconsciously were rising to the surface... but I'm not buying into that thought because of the fact that my dreams were consecutive...... I didn't know what to do the first night.... and I felt powerless.... i went back to sleep after trying to recall what happened, but I couldn't remember, so I slept. The second night as soon as I went to sleep, I fell under deeply and quickly which almost never happens when I go to sleep.. I chanted a mantra and before I knew it, i could hear myself snoring or something... the next thing that happened is that I felt as if I was trapped in a room, which I guess was dark because I began yelling " turn the light on" ... ...... this is what i shouted out several times.... I finally yelled out "God is the Greatest", in Arabic and then I woke up...at the same time my son came running into my room to check on me...

This time, i remembered a lot of the dream....... got up from my bed, and smote my room with sage to clear any negative energy around my self and my bedroom, then I prayed on my knees...recited "Fonlse Alpha"..prayer for protection, and asked my Divine Mother to protect me from harm and to guide me so that I could understand what is going on in my life at this moment or rather to show me the path in which I should go.

I must admit, I feel some anxiety, and I realize that I need to meditate and pray that things come to the light for me. I realize I have a lot of work to do on myself since I have embarked upon my path of Gnosis. But to tell you the truth, it is a little unsettling at the same time.... What I mean is that I have had other dreams besides these 2 and I can't wait to have dreams where I feel like I'm in control, smiling, laughing, or flying..... instead of dreams where I'm SCREAMING OUT PHRASES..:(

Impressions make up our life: they are the phenomena of perception. This is an intimate matter of how we perceive the world, internal and external. When we do not comprehend the nature of the phenomena and noumena that reaches our senses, or more importantly, our mind, then we continue to fortify a false sense of self, dependent upon the external qualities of life.

Our life is a series of actions and reactions towards impressions (phenomena) that reach the mind. We may not be able to really change what happens to us, but at least we can change our perception of those phenomena. This is the psychological work, whereby we comprehend our defects and how they react mechanically to the impressions of life, whether here in the physical world or in the internal dimensions.

As we interiorize ourselves, looking at our thoughts, feelings and impulses in a cognizant way, we break free from mechanical reactions towards the situations of life. To do this here and now will prepare us for the dream state, whereby we learn to transform impressions in a more subtle and dynamic matter. For more information, read The Revolution of the Dialectic, specifically on this subject of the transformation of impressions, as well as his lecture on the topic.

Joyful in hope, suffering in tribulation, be thou constant in thy prayer.

Samael Aun Weor wrote in The Pistis Sophia Unveiled: "Peace makes an initiate indestructible." Through our connection with God, we can face any adversity without distress. I have known many students and instructors of Gnosis who've had disturbing experiences, but who overcame such adversities due to maturity, patience and faith in God. What makes a disciple extraordinary is self-restraint within moments of danger and fear. But if you are identified with impressions, you only make things worse.

One student I know had a terrible experience in the astral plane where he was abducted by a group of black magicians, but he related to me with happiness the superior emotions he felt in those instances: love for his enemies, serenity and calm in the midst of terror. He was unharmed; they could do nothing because he was awake and at peace. Such an experience confirms many things for myself. If you are awake, then God is the one in control of your life, not your ego. But once in the quicksand of difficulties, you will sink further the more you struggle with force. Peace is the art and way of the Bodhisattva.

Joyful in hope, suffering in tribulation, be thou constant in thy prayer.

Benedictis, qui venit in nomine Domini. Osanna in excelsis.

"Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord. Hosanna in the highest!"
