Hello,

I started recently studying the christian Bible, and wanted to ask, if any instructor has any experience reading some of the Deuterocanonical books listed herehere.

In the list of christian scriptureschristian schriptures, the Book of Tobit,

I don't mind also reading other books, non included in the canon, like the Gospel of Phillip you have in the same site.

With other words, which other christian texts other than the Bible are worth studying? Has anyone encountered any parts in the Bible that are not the Word of God or not true? Thank you. :)

Who will be more enlightened? The one who studies one authentic scripture and genuinely understands it? Or the one who studies one thousand scriptures and gets none of it?

Regarding parts of the Bible that are not the Word of God:

The Bible has been unfortunately edited and modified, not always with good intentions.

Hi Marius,

I understand, thank you for the reply. I will study with the purpose of understanding the scriptures.

So is it safer, if we want to learn about the old testament, to study the relevant lectures and courses on this website?

I have in general observed, that the worship of the Divine Mother is very rare in the Bible, which is sad. I am really thankful to Samael Aun Weor that he teaches us about her. I have also seen that he explains many parts of the Bible in his books.

I want to be able one day to understand the Gnostic Bible, the Pistis Sophia.

Thank you.

We can only affirm that it has worked for us and hope that it will work for you :) But you are free to study in such a way, that it feels natural for you.

In order to understand something like the Pistis Sophia, you can start reading it right away. You will then understand a certain amount on your level. Then you can study more lectures, Kabbalah and the Hebrew alphabet to widen your perspective. If you then go back to the scripture, you will be able to grasp another layer or more details. Rinse and repeat. And no, there are no shortcuts, it is something that develops within us.
