Hebrew Letter Shin

Verses 161 to 168 from Psalm 119 begin with ש Shin:

161 Princes have persecuted me without cause; but my heart has feared at your Word

162 I rejoice at your Word, as one who finds great spoil.

163 I hate and despise lying, but I love your Law.

164 I praise you seven times a day because of your righteous judgments.

165 Great peace is to those who love your Law, and there is no stumbling block to them.

166 Oh Iod-Havah, I have hope for your salvation, and have done your precepts.

167 My soul has kept your testimonies, and I love them very much.

168 I have kept your commands and your testimonies, for all my ways are before you.

Arcanum 21

From Alchemy and Kabbalah by Samael Aun Weor

Tarot 21

Arcanum Number 21

The Fool

Let us now study the Twenty-first Arcanum of the Tarot. The hieroglyphic of this Arcanum is the Fool.

When examining this Arcanum, we perceive a wretched Fool with a shoulder bag on a stick (within which he carries all of his absurdities and vices) and who as a rootless wanderer goes wandering aimlessly with no course or objective. His clothes in disarray leave his sexual organs exposed and a tiger cat, which is following him, bites him incessantly and he does not try to defend himself. So, sensitivity is found represented in this Arcanum: the flesh, the material life.

We can also represent this Arcanum with the inverted flaming star. Every initiate that allows himself to fall is indeed the Fool of the Tarot. As a matter of fact, when the alchemist spills the cup of Hermes, he is converted into the Fool of the Tarot.

It is necessary to annihilate desire if we want to avoid the danger of falling. Many Masters who swallowed soil (many Resurrected Masters) fell and converted themselves into the Fool of the Twenty-first Arcanum of the Tarot. It is enough to remember Zanoni during the French Revolution; he was a Resurrected Master, and nonetheless he allowed himself to fall by falling in love with a female chorister from Naples. Zanoni died by the guillotine after having lived with the same physical body for thousands of years.

Whosoever wants to annihilate desire must discover its causes. The causes of desire are found in sensations. We live in a world of sensations and we need to comprehend them.

There are five types of sensations:

  1. Visual sensations
  2. Auditory sensations
  3. Smell sensations
  4. Taste sensations
  5. Touch sensations

The five special types of sensations transform themselves into desire. Therefore, the causes of desire are found within sensations.

We must not condemn sensations, nor must we justify them. We need to profoundly comprehend them.

A pornographic image strikes the senses and then passes to the mind. The outcome of this perception is a sexual sensation that is soon transformed into animal desire. After passing through the sense of hearing and through the cerebral center of sensations, a vulgar morbid type of song is converted into sexual desire. We see a luxurious car, we sense it and thereafter we desire it.

the senses

We taste a delicious cup of liqueur, we perceive its odor with our sense of smell and feel its delicious sensations, and thereafter we desire to drink more and more until we become inebriated. Thus, smell and taste turn us into gluttons and drunkards.

The sense of touch places itself under the service of all of our desires; thus this is how the “I” receives pleasure from amidst the vices and wanders like the Fool of the Tarot from life to life with his bag (within which he carries all of his vices and absurdities) on his shoulders.

Whosoever wants to annihilate desire, first of all, needs to intellectually analyze the sensations and thereafter profoundly comprehend them. It is impossible to profoundly comprehend the contextual concept enclosed within a sensation with the mere intellect, since the intellect is just a small fraction of the mind.

Therefore, if we want to comprehend the entire substantial context of a certain sensation (of any type) we then indispensably need the technique of internal meditation, because it is urgent to profoundly comprehend the “I” in all of the levels of the mind.

The mind has many layers, subconscious and unconscious levels which are normally unknown to humans. Many individuals, who have achieved absolute chastity here in the physical world, become terrible fornicators in other levels and profundities of the mind when they are submitted to difficult ordeals in the internal worlds. Great anchorites and hermit saints discovered with horror that the Fool of the Tarot continued alive in other more profound levels of their understanding. Indeed, only by comprehending the sensations in all the creases of the mind can we annihilate desire and kill the Fool of the Tarot (who hides himself within all of those creases of our mind).

It is necessary for our students to learn how to see and hear without translating.

When a man perceives the beautiful figure of a woman and commits the error of translating that perception into the language of his sexual desires, then the outcome is sexual desire; this type of desire, even when it is forgotten, continues living internally in other unconscious levels of the mind. Thus, this is how the “I” incessantly fornicates in the internal worlds. Therefore, it is important to learn how to see without translating, to see without judging. It is indispensable to see, hear, taste, smell, and touch with creative comprehension. Thus, just like this, we can annihilate the causes of desire. Indeed the tree of desire has roots that we must study and profoundly comprehend.

Upright perception and creative comprehension annihilate the causes of desire; this is how the mind escapes from the bottle of desire and is elevated unto the superior worlds, then the awakening of the consciousness arrives.

Normally, the mind is found bottled up within the bottle of desire; thus, it is indispensable to take the mind out of the bottle if indeed what we want is the awakening of the consciousness. To awaken the consciousness is impossible without taking the mind out of its bottled up condition.

We constantly hear complaints from many students who suffer because during the slumber of their physical bodies they live unconscious within the superior worlds. Many of them have performed esoteric practices in order to achieve Astral projection, yet they do not succeed. When we study the life of these whiners, we discover within them the Fool of the Tarot; these people are full of desires.

We kill desire only by comprehending sensations. Only by annihilating desire can the mind that is normally bottled up within desire be liberated. The awakening of the consciousness is produced only by liberating the mind from desire.

The Fool of the Tarot is the psychological “I”, “the myself,” the reincorporating ego.

If we want to end the causes of desire, then we need to live in a state of constant vigilance. It is urgent to live in a state of alert perception, alert novelty. The “I” is a great book, a book of many volumes and only by means of the technique of internal meditation can we study this book.

When we discover and profoundly comprehend a defect in all of the levels of the mind, then it is completely disintegrated. Each time a defect is disintegrated, something new occupies its place: an esoteric password, a mantra, a cosmic initiation, an esoteric degree, a secret power, etc. Thus, this is how, little by little, we fill ourselves with true wisdom.

The Kabbalistic addition of this Arcanum gives us the following outcome: 2 + 1 = 3. One is the Father (Kether), Two is the Son (Chokmah), Three is the Holy Spirit (Binah): they are the resplendent Dragon of Wisdom within any human being that comes into the world. Anyone who achieves the dissolution of the psychological “I” (the Fool of the Tarot) incarnates his resplendent Dragon of Wisdom. Whosoever incarnates his resplendent Dragon of Wisdom becomes a Spirit of Wisdom.

Speak not in the ears of a fool: for he will despise the wisdom of thy words. - Proverbs 23:9

Coexistence

It is not by isolating ourselves from our fellowmen that we will discover our defects. It is only by means of coexistence that we self-discover ourselves; thus by means of coexisting with others, we surprisingly discover our defects because they flourish and spring forth from within and emerge to the external world by means of our human personality. Thus, in social coexistence, Self-discovery and Self-revelation exist.

When we discover a defect, we must first intellectually analyze it and thereafter comprehend it in all of the inner layers of the mind, by means of the technique of meditation.

It is necessary to focus on the discovered defect and meditate on it with the intention of comprehending it profoundly.

Meditation must be combined with the slumber state; thus, this is how, by means of profound vision, we become cognizant of the defect that we are trying to comprehend. Thus once the defect is dissolved, “something new” arrives to us. It is necessary to be in a state of alert perception and alert novelty during internal meditation.

In order to receive that “something new,” a defect must be replaced by it; a defect must be substituted for it. Thus, this is how the human being becomes truly wise; this is the path of wisdom.

Intuition

While we are dissolving the Fool of the Twenty-first Arcanum of the Tarot, intuition is being developed within; intuition is the flower of intelligence. Intuition and comprehension replace reasoning and desire, since these are attributes of the “I.” Intuition allows us to penetrate into the past, into the present and into the future. Intuition allows us to penetrate into the deep meaning of all things.

Intuition grants us entrance into the world of the ineffable Gods; any intuitive initiate converts himself into a true prophet.

Practice for the Development of Intuition

It is urgent for the devotee of the Path of the Razor’s Edge to intensify the development of intuition. This faculty resides in the coronary chakra; this chakra shines upon the pineal gland, which is the seat of the soul, the third eye. Modern scientists believe that they know more than the ancient sages from the ancient school of mysteries; thus, they deny all of these esoteric matters related with the pineal gland and take it only to the purely physiological side (with this, pretending to strike the faces of the great hierophants with a white glove). Notwithstanding, the ancient sages from old times never ignore that the pineal gland is a small, reddish-gray cone-shaped tissue located in the posterior part of the brain. The old sages knew very well that the hormone that is secreted by this gland is intimately related with the development of the sexual organs and that after maturity, this gland degenerates into fibered tissues that no longer secrete such a hormone, and then impotence arrives. An exception exists in this process and this is known only by the Gnostics.

Gnostics preserve the activity of their pineal gland and its sexual, functional secretion remains active by means of Sexual Magic throughout their entire life. The pineal gland is the center of the intuitive polyvoyance. Intuition manifests within the heart as presentments; yet, in the pineal gland such presentments are converted into intuitive images.

It is urgent for our devotees to practice the powerful mantra of intuition; this mantra is the following: Triiiinnnnn… prolong the sound of the vowel “I” and of the consonant “N,” it sounds like a bell. [Editor: pronounced as the “ee” in “tree.”]

The student submerged within a perfect meditation with his/her mind in blank, must be inundated by the silence, and then must mentally vocalize the former sacred mantra. This mantra can be chanted as many times as one wishes to do so. After about ten minutes of vocalization, the student must cease vocalizing the mantra and continue with the mind in blank for an indefinite period of time. When the great Silence is inundating us, then the experience of the great Reality comes to us.

The Hebrew Letter Shin

Written by Gnostic Instructor

Image

ש Shin is spelled with the Hebrew letters: שין “Shin, Iod, Nun” which gives us the sum of 360, which relates to the circle or letter Samech, the Ouroboros that places the three primary forces into action by means of the Cross within the Circle, the Mercabah, the four Solar Bodies within the Self-realized Monad.

These Four Solar Bodies within the Self-realized Monad are represented by יהוה Iod, Hei, Vav. Hei and the Charioteer is the Triune Logoi ש “Shin,” the Holy Trinity or Three Unity, the Cosmic Manifested Christ. The Charioteer ש “Shin” is Self-realized within every one of the four bodies, thus ש “Shin rides the Mercabah יהוה “Iod, Hei, Vav, Hei” from within and not from without. This is Kabbalistically explained with the famous Pentagramaton יהשוה “Iod, He, Shin, Vav, He” that is pronounced “IESHUA,” the Savior.

The three letters that spell Shin: שין (Shin, Iod Nun) symbolizes the three fires or three Iods or flames (Father, Son and Holy Spirit), the Holy Triamazikamno, upon the three wicks (3 ו Vavs) embedded within the Nun or Divine Essence of God in Yesod (El-Shaddai). The Ain Soph manifests its light in four aspects: One unknowable and three knowable.

The unknowable one is the Ain Soph Aur, the Ray of Okidanokh and is represented with the letter ה “Hei,” and the three knowable ones are Kether, Chokmah and Binah in the world of Atziluth, and are represented with the letters “Iod, Hei, Vav.”

The name of the manifested Elohim is “IAO” (יהו I, H, V).

The four letters together form four flames: Three visible and One invisible: יהוה

יהוה (I, H, V, H) ; this is the Holy Tetragrammaton, whose Kabbalistic pronunciation is Iod-Havah.

The candelabrum of three lights represents the letter ש “Shin”. The letter ש “Shin” self-realized within the Tetragrammaton “Iod, Hei, Vav, Hei” make Seven Lights, the symbol of a Self-realized Monad, a Cosmocreator. Therefore the candelabrum of seven lights represents “Iod, Hei, Shin, Vav, Hei”.

Image

Ruach Elohim

The Ruach Elohim is bound to the Fire as Air or Oxygen is bound to blood. Indeed, the Ruach Elohim (Aleph) is Fire (ש Shin) within שמים Schamayim (Mem).

The manifested Spirit of God (Ruach Elohim) is Fire (ש Shin). Ruach Elohim’s letters (Ruach: Reish (200) + Vav (6) + Chet (8) = 214 and Elohim = Aleph (1) + Lamed (30) + Hei (5) + Iod (10) + Mem (40) = 86; 214 plus 86 sum 300 and the value of the Letter “Shin” is 300.

Image

Eheieh Asher Eheieh (He is what He is)

The three visible flames are represented by the three primary colors: Blue, Yellow and Red that are united by the invisible flame

The right side of the Godhead (Kether) manifests three heads or three flames; each flame is represented by the letter “Iod.” The three of them descend through “Vav” from the Ain Soph Aur and reunite in the mysterious Sephirah Daath. In Daath the three flames manifest through Abba and Aima who manifest their creative powers through the Sephirah Yesod that represents the foundation of the letter Shin. This foundation is related to Nun that contains the very essence of God (the Ain Soph Aur that shines in the left side of the Godhead Kether) within the waters of Mem in Yesod.

Image

So this is why the Holy Name of God in Kabbalah contains four letters, four flames: Three visible and one invisible: יהוה Iod, Hei, Vav, Hei.

Only those who enter into the Ain Soph can see the Four Headed Flame of God.

The Ain Soph reveals its secret essence, its invisible flame through ש Shin when the latter is self-realized within any Monad.

ImageElijah or Eliao

Behold, I will send (ש Shin) my messenger and he יהו "IAO" shall prepare the way before me אל. Malachi 3: 1

Kabbalistic explanation: ש "Shin" has the value of 300 if we add the numbers of 300 we get 3, the three primary forces represented in יהו “IAO” (I, H, V).

“IAO” יהו (I, H, V) Iod (10) + Hei, (5) + Vav (6) = 21 (the Twenty-First Arcanum) 2+1 = 3, the three primary forces represented in ש “Shin”, which is its letter of the Arcanum 21.

The letters of the word אל “El” (Aleph-Lamed) sum 31, if we add the numbers we get 4. So God (EL) is 4 (the Tetragrammaton יהוה "Iod, Hei, Vav, Hei".

Conclusion: The messenger of our own Individual “God" אל “Iod-Havah" יהוה is “IAO" יהו

אליהו Elijah (pronounced E-L-I-A-O in Hebrew), his full name’s letters sum 52, 5+2 = 7. This is why Elijah was incarnated within John, which represents the seven vowels (IEOUAMS) which are related with the Seven Churches or Chakras. So, Elijah is, was, and will always be the messenger of the Cosmic Christ, the Ain Soph Aur that manifests its light through “Shin” in every of the Seven Chakras of the Seven Solar Bodies of the Kosmic Man.

Genesis 1: 3: And the Ruach Elohim said, Let there be light: and there was light.

1 Kings: 18: 17-40

And it came to pass, when Ahab saw Elijah אליהו,
that Ahab said unto him, Are you he that troubles Israel?

And he answered, I have not troubled Israel; but you, and your father's house, in that you have forsaken the commandments of Iod-Havah (the Cosmic Christ), and you have followed (the Fools of the Tarot or) Baalim (in Klipoth).

Now therefore send, and gather to me all Israel unto Mount Carmel, and the prophets of Baal four hundred and fifty, and the prophets of the groves four hundred, which (are the Fools that) eat at Jezebel's table.

So Ahab sent unto all the children of Israel, and gathered the prophets together unto Mount Carmel.

And Elijah came unto all the people, and said, how long halt you between two opinions? If Iod-Havah be God, follow him: but if Baal (the Fool of the Tarot), then follow him. And the people answered him not a word.

Then said Elijah unto the people, I, even I only, remain a prophet of Iod-Havah; but Baal's prophets are four hundred and fifty (450 = 9, the Ninth Sphere, Yesod) men.

Let them therefore give us two bullocks; and let them choose one bullock for themselves, and cut it in pieces, and lay it on wood, and put no fire under: and I will dress the other bullock, and lay it on wood, and put no fire under:

And call you on the name of your gods, and I will call on the name of Iod-Havah: and the God that answers by fire let him be God. And all the people answered and said: It is well spoken.

And Elijah said unto the (Fools of the Tarot or) prophets of Baal, Choose you one bullock for yourselves, and dress it first; for you are many; and call on the name of your gods, but put no fire under.

And they took the bullock which was given them, and they dressed it, and called on the name of Baal from morning even until noon, saying, Oh Baal, hear us. But there was no voice, nor any that answered. And they leaped upon the altar which was made.

And it came to pass at noon, that Elijah mocked them, and said: Cry aloud: for he is a god; either he is talking, or he is pursuing, or he is in a journey (as the Fool of the Tarot), or peradventure he sleeps, and must be awaked.

And they cried aloud, and cut themselves after their manner with knives and lancets, till the blood gushed out upon them.

And it came to pass, when midday was past, and they prophesied until the time of the offering of the evening sacrifice, that there was neither voice, nor any to answer, nor any that regarded.

And Elijah said unto all the people: Come near unto me. And all the people came near unto him. And he repaired the altar of Iod-Havah that was broken down.

And Elijah took twelve stones, according to the number of the tribes of the sons of Jacob (the twelve zodiacal signs), unto whom the word of Iod-Havah came, saying, Israel (Ish-Ra-El) shall be thy name:

And with the stones he built an altar in the name of Iod-Havah: and he made a trench about the altar, as great as would contain two measures of seed.

And he put the wood in order, and cut the bullock in pieces, and laid him on the wood, and said, Fill four barrels with water (שמים Schamayim), and pour it on the burnt sacrifice, and on the wood.

And he said, Do it the second time. And they did it the second time. And he said, Do it the third time. And they did it the third time.

And the water (of שמים Schamayim) ran round about the altar; and he filled the trench also with water (of שמים Schamayim). And it came to pass at the time of the offering of the evening sacrifice, that Elijah the prophet came near, and said, Iod-Havah God of Abraham, Isaac, and of Israel (because Iod-Havah, the Cosmic Christ, the Letter Shin, was incarnated within each one of them), let it be known this day that you are (the Fiery) God in Israel (Ish-Ra-El), and that I am your servant, and that I have done all these things at your Word.

Hear me, Oh Iod-Havah, hear me, that this people may know that you are Iod-Havah Elohim, and that you have turned their heart back again.

Then the fire of Iod-Havah fell, and consumed the burnt sacrifice, and the wood, and the stones, and the dust, and licked up the water (שמים Schamayim) that was in the trench.

And when all the people saw it, they fell on their faces: and they said, Iod-Havah, he is the Elohim; Iod-Havah, he is Elohim.

And Elijah said unto them, Take the prophets of Baal (all of those protoplasmic psychic aggregates, the Fools of the Tarot); let not one of them escape. And they took them: and Elijah brought them down to the brook Kishon (the waters of שמים Schamayim in Yesod, Sex), and slew them there."

Malachi 3: 6-10: For I am Iod-Havah, I change not; therefore you (Initiates) sons of (the Stone of) Jacob are not consumed. Even from the days of your fathers you are gone away from mine ordinances, and have not kept them. Return unto me, and I will return unto you, says Iod-Havah Zabaoth. But you said: Wherein shall we return? Will a man rob God? Yet you have robbed me (fornicators). But you say: Wherein have we robbed you? In tithes and offerings (Arcanum 10).

You are cursed with a curse (fornicators): for you have robbed me, even this whole nation. Bring all the tithes into the storehouse (you shall not covet), that there may be meat in my house, and prove me now herewith, says Iod-Havah Zabaoth, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.”

The Ain Soph is that unknowable and invisible Seity, whose latent presence and power (within every Monad) becomes dynamic through its outer triple flame “Shin”. The latent power of the Ain Soph acting through the letter “Shin” (Holy Trinity) is the secret of Elijah’s Burnt Sacrifice, whose trench is filled with four barrels of water (Iod, He, Vav, He) three times, because the power of Jah and Havah (Iod-Havah or Jehovah) is in the waters (שמים Schamayim) that becomes active by means of “Shin” (the Three Primary forces) in Daath-Yesod.

El-Shaddai is the name of the everlasting Essence of Elohim in Yesod-Sex before revealing its beauty, but after the Ruach Elohim’ s dynamic power becomes active in any Monad it becomes Iod, He Vav, He Elohim or Iod-Havah Elohim or Jehovah Elohim.

Exodus 6: 3: And I appeared unto Abraham, unto Isaac, and unto Jacob, by the name of El-Shaddai, but by my name Iod-Havah was I not known to them.

IAOH

The action of the ש “Shin” (Fire) within every Monad endures until these three flames (Kether, Chokmah and Binah) become one within the invisible flame the Ain Soph by means of the Self-realization of the Being. Then the invisible flame becomes visible to the outer flames and become an Elohim with a Mercabah or four flames (Iod, He, Vav, He), a living Iod-Havah Elohim.

Iod-Havah Elohim, which is the name of Binah in Atziluth, works in Yesod, the Nine Sphere, Sex as the Ruach Elohim:

The invisible power of the light of the Ain Soph (the Ain Soph Aur) of any Cosmocreator is hidden within its Ruach Elohim which manifests in Yesod – Sex. This power enters into activity by means of “Shin” fire, sexual love, Tantra. This is how Iod-Havah Elohim by means of his Ruach Elohim enters into the Land of Ish-Ra-El (the letter Vav, the spinal Medulla of the Initiate). So, by means of the force of love the fiery Elohim enters into the Land of Israel, the spinal medulla and through Ida, Pingala and Sushumna “Shin” the “Ruach Elohim” spreads as fire in every land (internal bodies or Sephiroth). So, when the Initiate is Self-realized all the fiery powers of the Sephiroth are activated and integrated in one land (the Land of Ish-Ra-El), which is the Resurrected Body (Eden). All of the Self-Realized Sephiroth shine as precious jewels within Eden, within the Resurrected Body, the body of Adam Kadmon.

Image

Matthew 3: 1-17

In those days came אליהו (Elijah) incarnated within the body of) John the Baptist, preaching in the wilderness of Judea (where people die of spiritual dehydration like lost camels carrying water on their backs in the wilderness), and saying, Repent (do not fornicate): for the kingdom of heaven is at hand. For this is he that was spoken of by the prophet Isaiah, saying: The voice of one crying in the wilderness, Prepare the way of Iod-Havah, make his paths straight.

And the same (Elijah reincarnated within) John (IEOUAMS) had his raiment of camel's hair, and a leathern girdle about his loins; and his meat was locusts and wild honey.

2 Kings, chapter 1: 6-8: And they said unto him, There came a man up to meet us, and said unto us, Go, turn again unto the king that sent you, and say unto him, Thus says Iod-Havah, Is it not because there is not Elohim in Israel, that you send to inquire of Baal-zebub the god of Ekron (Klipoth)? Therefore you shall not come down from that bed on which you are gone up, but shall surely die.

And he said unto them, what manner of man was he which came up to meet you, and told you these words?

And they answered him, He was an hairy man, and girt with a girdle of leather about his loins. And he said, It is Elijah the Tishbite.

Then went out to him Jerusalem, and all Judea, and all the region round about Jordan, and were baptized of him in Jordan, confessing their sins.

But when he saw many of the (hypocritical) Pharisees and Sadducees come to his baptism, he said unto them, Oh generation of vipers, who has warned you to flee from the wrath to come?

Bring forth therefore fruits meet for repentance: And think not to say within yourselves, we have Abraham to our father: for I say unto you, that (the Ruach of) God (Elohim) is able of these stones (of Yesod) to rise up (within the spinal medulla) children unto Abraham.

And now also the (the double fiery sharp) axe is laid unto the root of the trees (of Good and Evil): therefore every tree (in Yesod) which brings not forth good fruit (knowledge) is hewn down, and cast into the fire (of Klipoth).

I indeed baptize you with water (of שמים Schamayim) unto repentance (unto chastity): but he (Shin, the Fire) that comes after me is mightier than I, whose (winged) shoes I am not worthy to bear: he (Shin) shall baptize you with the Holy Spirit, and with fire: Whose fan (Aleph) is in his hand, and he will thoroughly purge his floor, and gather his wheat into the garner; but he will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire (in Klipoth).

Then Jesus (Nazarenus Rex Iudaeorum) came from Galilee (the brain) to Jordan (Yesod) unto John, to be baptized of him.

But John (IEOUAMS) forbad him, saying, I have needed to be baptized of you (the Fire, Shin), and you come to me?

And Jesus (Shin, the Fire) answering said unto him: suffer it to be so now: for thus it becomes us to fulfill all righteousness.

John 3: 13-15 And (this is because) no man has ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of man which is in heaven.
And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up: That whosoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life.

Then he suffered him.

And Jesus, when he was baptized (the “Shin” the fire), went up straightway out of the water (of שמים Schamayim): and, lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God (the Ruach Elohim) descending like a dove, and lighting upon him: And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This (Dove) is (Shin, fire) my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.

There are many types of fires: The fire of lightning, the fire that is concentrated within plants, the fire that burns in the interior of the mountains and that is vomited by the volcanoes of the earth, the fire that is utilized in order to cook, the fire that is in each world. But, in synthesis (in Yesod, the Ninth Sphere, Sex), we only speak about two fires, the Solar and Lunar fire. The solar fire is Christic, sublime; it is Devi Kundalini; whereas the lunar negative, fatal Luciferic fire is the Kundabuffer.

The solar fire crystallizes in worlds, suns and universes. The lunar fire crystallizes in all of those entities that constitute the animal ego.

Matthew 4: 1-11: Then was Jesus led up of the Spirit (the Ruach Elohim) into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil (the Fool of the Tarot). And when he had fasted forty days (Mem) and forty nights (Mem Sophit), he was afterward hungry.

And when the tempter came to him, he said, if thou be the Son of God, command that these stones (of Yesod) be made bread.

But he answered and said, it is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God.

Then the devil takes him up into the holy city, and setteth him on a pinnacle of the temple,
And said unto him, If thou be the Son of God, cast thyself down (as the Fool of the Tarot): for it is written, He shall give his angels charge concerning thee: and in their hands they shall bear thee up, lest at any time thou dash thy foot against a stone (of Yesod). Jesus said unto him, It is written again, Thou shall not tempt Iod-Havah Elhi.

Again, the devil takes him up into an exceeding high mountain, and showed him all the kingdoms of (all Fools of the Tarot of) the world, and the glory of them; and said unto him, All these things will I give thee, if thou wilt fall down and worship me.

Then said Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shall worship the Lord thy God, and him only shall thou serve. Then the devil (the Fool of the Tarot) left him, and, behold, angels came and ministered unto him.

1 Kings, chapter 19: 8-13

And he arose, and did eat and drink, and went in the strength of that meat forty days and forty nights unto Horeb the mount of God.

And he came thither unto a cave, and lodged there; and, behold, the word of Iod-Havah came to him, and he said unto him, what are you doing here, Elijah? And he said: I have been very jealous for Iod-Havah Zabaoth: for the children of Israel (as Fools of the Tarot) have forsaken your covenant, thrown down your altars, and slain your prophets with the sword; and I, even I only, am left; and they seek my life, to take it away.

And he said, Go forth, and stand upon the mount before Iod-Havah. And, behold, the Iod-Havah passed by, and a great and strong wind rent the mountains, and brake in pieces the rocks before Iod-Havah; but Iod-Havah was not in the wind: and after the wind an earthquake; but Iod-Havah was not in the earthquake: And after the earthquake a fire; but Iod-Havah was not in the fire: and after the fire a still small voice.

And it was so, when Elijah heard it, that he wrapped his face in his mantle, and went out, and stood in the entering in of the cave. And, behold, there came a voice unto him, and said, what are you doing here, Elijah?
