In order to comprehend the biblical story of Sodom and Gomorrah, written in the book of Genesis, we have to comprehend and understand that the Bible itself is what we call the body of the doctrine. Yet in order to comprehend the body of the doctrine, we have to study the soul of the doctrine and the spirit of the doctrine. We cannot comprehend the body of the doctrine if we ignore the soul and spirit of the doctrine. The soul of the doctrine is the knowledge related to the science of alchemy, which in the tree of life is represented by the sephirah Daath, the canopy of the tree of knowledge; and the spirit of the doctrine is the science of Kabbalah – the tree of life, represented in the ten Sephiroth.
The spirit of the doctrine, the Kabbalah, relates to what we call the archetypes, the different spiritual symbols which are interrelated with the psychological symbols of the soul of the doctrine which is alchemy. The body of the doctrine is contained in what we call the Bible; so, soul and spirit explains the body or different stories that we find written especially in the book of Genesis.
Humanity has the body of the doctrine, but millions of human beings ignore the soul of the doctrine and the spirit of the doctrine. The soul and spirit of the doctrine are precisely what we teach in these lectures in order for us to understand all those symbols, stories, that we find written in the body of the doctrine; people who ignore alchemy and Kabbalah misinterpret the Bible, thus, this is why these ignoramuses arrive at the conclusion that the Bible is just a book of tales written by people who did not make any sense of their stories. This is why we are giving these lectures so that we can comprehend all of these alchemical and kabbalistic narratives of the bible. So the story of Lot and his two daughters, who escape from Sodom and Gomorrah, is something that relates to our own psychological nature.
To begin, let us comprehend what the tree of life and the tree of knowledge, which are interrelated with our own psychosomatic nature, explain about the four elements of nature. To know about this, we have to read just the first verse of the first chapter of the book of Genesis 1:2, where we find the explanation of how everything began. It is written:
בראשית ברא אלהים את השמים ואת הארץ
“In the beginning Elohim created the heaven and the earth.”
If you observe the Hebrew letters of the words that mean “the heavens and the earth” in Hebrew, namely, את השמים ואת הארץ Ath ha’Shamayim Veath Ha’Aretz, in them are hidden the main letters that symbolize the four elements in Alchemy. In Kabbalah the letter א Aleph is the symbol of air. The letter ש Shin is the symbol of fire. The letter מ Mem is the symbol of water. Now, the letter ת Tav at the very bottom, is the symbol of earth. In the beginning the letter Tav was written as a cross, thereafter as an X, then later, as a character that looks like the letter H. And finally, the modern ת Tav whose shape joints a letter Resh, at the right side of it, to the letter Nun at its left; Nun, fish is a symbol of earth. Why is Tav the symbol of earth? Because the word [את Ath], contains the first letter and the last letter of the Hebrew alphabet. The letter Aleph being the symbol of the first triangle of the tree of life, which is call the Holy Trinity. And the letter Tav or cross, symbol of Malkuth, the earth, the last sephirah, which is at the West or bottom of the tree of life.
So when we see the tree of life, we find that the East relates to the letter Hei, that is called in Kabbalah, the Ain Soph, from which the light of Kether – which is the crown, first Sephirah of the tree of life – emerges. Kether represents the Atzilutic triangle, symbolized by the letter Aleph. The Hebrew word הא, Ha, contains the letter Hei and the letter Aleph together, הא, Ha, means Lo or Behold, yet in Hebrew Hei-Aleph הא is also the spelling of the letter Hei. What we want to state here is that the letter Aleph is always hidden within the letter Hei. Thus, Air, Aleph is the breath always hidden within the letter Hei. Behold, Aleph is the breath hidden within the ה Hei of the mysterious Tetragrammaton, יהוה Iod-Hei-Vav-Hei. So, the shape of the letter א Aleph, symbol of the Atzilutic Trinity, also contains the letters Iod and Vav of the Tetragrammaton, יהוה, which are represented here, in the first triangle of the tree of life.
Let us now study the four elements, in order for us to understand how they are distributed in the tree of life. So the first, the Atzilutic triangle is in relation with the letter Aleph, air. The second, the Ethical triangle is in relation with the letter Shin, fire. And the third, the triangle of Priesthood is in relation with the letter Mem, water. And as we stated, the letter Tav the last letter of the Hebrew alphabet, is the cross that symbolizes Malkuth, the Earth, which is at the very bottom of the tree of life. So, this is how we have to visualize the four elements.
Now, the four cardinal points, east, west, north and south on the tree of life are located as follows: east is Kether above and west is Malkuth below. Let us continue reading the book of Genesis related with the four elements: We read that “In the beginning Elohim created the heavens and the earth,” and thereafter, “And the earth - which is the west - was formless and void and darkness was upon the face of the deep”, the deep is the South. “And the רוח אלהים Ruach Elohim hovered upon the face of the waters” the רוח אלהים Ruach Elohim that hovered upon the face of the western waters is the North. This is how we visualize the four elements and the four cardinal points in the tree of life. The earth which is the west, which is formless and void is our own physicality; formless and void because we do not have the elements within that we need in order to realize the tree of life. Usually, some Kabbalists associate the south with Chesed, and the north with Geburah, which is wrong. Any alchemist knows very well that in order to perform the exorcism of fire, he has to face south. And fire in the south relates to Geburah, and the water to the north relates to Chesed. These two elements are interrelated in the stories of the book of Genesis. And this is how we have to place and see them, because the south, which is of course the left side of the tree of life goes down into the west and even further into what is call Klipoth, which is the center of the earth; this is where we find the fire. This is why in alchemy, when we talk about the south, we always point down towards Hell. And when we say North we point up, which is of course when the sun is at its zenith. Anybody knows that when the sun is at its zenith, it is in the north; it is when the sun is strong. But the south relates to two aspects: the left side of the tree of life, and the very depth of the earth. This is why south and west are interrelated in the stories of the book of Genesis.
So when we want to explain the origin of life in the universe, we always know that the east is of course Kether, and the West is the earth. But also we have to comprehend that the north is also up, and the South is down. That way, we do not enter into confusion, because in the story of Abraham, he always travels to the South. This is why many Kabbalists state that because Abraham always travels to the South, he is the South, and this is wrong. Abraham, Chesed is in the North, when the sun is at its zenith, when it is very shiny and strong during the day.
And יהוה appeared unto him in the plains of מים רא Maim re: and he sat in the tent door in the heat of the day. —Genesis 18: 1
The esoteric meaning of which is as follows: When Abraham sat at the door of his tent; that is, at the gate separating the higher (triangle) and lower worlds (or sephiroth), symbolized by the letter Aleph, he felt the great heat of the day (the sun at its zenith, the North); that is, he became mentally and spiritually enlightened by (the rising of) the divine light of Kether, the First Logos (in Chesed). - Zohar
When the divine light of Kether sets in the West, it is because it is sinking, going down into the South, so, when it goes towards the South, it goes down and sets in the West; and continues down into Klipoth.
The light of Chokmah, the Second Logos, was beheld by Isaac (in Geburah) when, in the cool of the evening when the sun was going down (to the South), he prayed for the coming of this light, as it is written: "And Isaac (Geburah) went out to meditate in the field at the eventide." Genesis 24: 63 - Zohar
Any initiate, any monad, any spirit who wants self realization has to travel from Chesed to Geburah. Chesed symbolizes our Innermost, our Inner Being, our Spirit, Abraham, who seats at the door of his tent in the heat of the day, the North, up there when the sun is at its zenith; thus our Monad has to travel to the South, in order to descend into Yesod, the center of the earth. Never for instance will an alchemist say that the North is in the center of the earth. If we say, the South is in the center of the earth, it is logical. And if we say our head is in the North, it is logical too. We have to apply alchemy and kabbalah at the same time, but some Kabbalists are not Alchemists; they are just intellectual Kabbalists, this is why they err.
“The descent into the Ninth Sphere (the center of the earth) was, in the ancient mysteries, the highest trial to prove the supreme dignity of the hierophant. Hermes, Buddha, Dante, Zoroaster, Abraham, etc. had to descend to the Ninth Sphere (Yesod) in order to work with (Geburah-Samael) the fire and (Chesed-Abraham) the water, the origin of worlds, beasts, humans and Gods. Every authentic and legitimate White Initiation begins there (in the South).” —Samael Aun Weor
There are two types of Kabbalists, namely, intellectual Kabbalists, this is the fornicator type that we are explaining here, they are not positive alchemists, thus, they err in their kabbalistic interpretations. The others are the intuitive Kabbalists, who receive instruction through their heart in the internal worlds. Likewise, there exist black or negative alchemists, and white or positive alchemists. The white alchemists, talking in the positive way, are the ones who transform and work with the souls of kabbalah, namely:
- Nephesh נפש: Animal Soul
- Ruach רוח: Thinking Soul
- Neshamah נשמה: Spiritual Soul
- Chaiah חיה: Living Soul
- Yehidah יחודה: Universal Soul
So, positive alchemists work with all the souls, which are the psychological essences of the tree of life, this is how they develop as human souls. When addressing them Jesus said:
"In your patience possess ye your souls." - Luke 21: 19
Yet, the alchemists from darkness, they just develop and strengthen their Nephesh or Animal Soul and their ego or psychological aggregates, namely: Lust, Anger, Greed. Pride, Envy, Laziness, Gluttony, etc., about them, it is written:
"And I beheld another beast (the ego) coming up out of the earth; and he had two (daughters) horns like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon." - Revelation 13: 11
So we always find these two polarities, positive and negative among the Alchemists, and positive and negative among the Kabbalists. This is a very delicate subject-matter, because in the universe, we can self-realize, crystallize the human soul, that is, awake in the positive manner or awake in the negative manner without the crystallization of the human soul. Thus, in our lecture, we are going to explain about these two types of initiates, because these two types are the contraries of philosophy; this, in order to know how to escape from Sodom and Gomorrah.
For instance, in order to continue addressing this topic, let us quote the great Rabbi from Galilee, Master Jesus of Nazareth. We find in the book of Luke chapter 17 the following:
And when he was demanded of the Pharisees, when the kingdom of God should come, he answered them and said, The kingdom of God comes not with observation: Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, (הא) behold, the kingdom of God is within you. And he said unto the disciples, The days will come, when ye shall desire to see one of the days (the lights) of the Son of man, and ye shall not see it. And they shall say to you, See here; or, see there (for Yehidah יחודה Christ): go not after them, nor follow them.
For as the lightning (of the Kundalini), that lightened out of (Yesod, which is) the one part under heaven and shines unto (Kether and descends into Tiphereth) the other part under heaven; so shall also the Son of man be in his day. But first must he suffer many things, and be rejected of this generation. —Luke 17: 20, 25
This is written in Luke, which is represented by the winged bull, the gospel of Malkuth. Thus, when we study the former quotation, the main point of it is that Jesus said, behold, the kingdom of God is within Malkuth, your physicality. “Behold” in Hebrew is (הא) Ha, which in the tree of life is symbolized by the letter ה Hei, the Ain Soph, within which is hidden Aleph, the Holy Trinity. When Jesus state that (הא) Ha, the kingdom of God, is within Malkuth, our physicality, we have to unavoidably address the five types of souls. If we do not know anything about the tree of knowledge of good and evil, and kabbalah or the tree of life, we will then ignore that there are five types of souls. Beginning from Malkuth, the bottom, to Kether, the top of the tree of life, we name them: Nephesh, the Animal Soul; Ruach, the Thinking Soul; Neshamah, the Spiritual Soul; Chaiah, the Living Soul; and Yehidah, the Universal Soul.
We have a spark of all of these souls connected to our physicality, Malkuth. The positive Alchemists work, develop these five types of souls by means of sexual alchemy. So we have to know where these five types of souls are located, and how can we work with them. To begin let us state that Yehidah in Greek is Christ, which in Sanskrit is the same Kundalini, the light, the serpent of brass that rises in the spinal column. So, Yehidah is what we need to awake in order to integrate within us the other souls. We need to develop the different levels of Yehidah, the Universal Soul that in Christianity is called Christ, or that in Hinduism is called Vishnu Krishna. It has many names in different religions. In Judaism is named Yehidah. Yehidah is where all of the souls become one in Chokmah. There is no individuality there - the diversity becomes the unity. “In your patience possess ye your souls” (Luke 21: 19). To organize these souls within us is precisely the role of the Lord, Christ. So let us continue reading what Master Jesus said:
And as it was in the days of Noah, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man. They did eat, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ark, and the flood came, and destroyed them all. —Luke 17:26-27
If we are judiciously studying the former quotation, we will realize that when Master Jesus is addressing the universal flood of Noah, he is addressing the element water, the letter Mem, because such is an alchemical statement that helps us to understand marriage. Thereafter he addresses fire, the letter Shin.
Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot; they did eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they built; but the same day that Lot went out of Sodom, it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all. Even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of man is revealed. —Luke 17: 28 – 30
As we read, Jesus is talking about revelation, an explanation of what the Son of man or the son of Adam, is. Jesus did not say: in the day when everybody will believe in the Son of man, Jesus said: “in the day when the Son of man is revealed.” So, who is this the Son of Adam? Let us study Genesis to see who this Son of Adam is, it is written:
For יהוה אלהים Iod-Havah Elohim had not caused it to rain upon the earth, and there was not a Adam to till the ground. But there went up - אדו Ado - a mist from the earth, and watered the whole face of the ground. —Genesis 2: 5, 6
Moses (the body of willpower) comes again, of whom it is written: "The law of truth was in his mouth, and iniquity was not found in his lips: he walked with me in peace and equity, and did turn many away from iniquity." (Malachi 2: 6); so that no one was better able to unfold and expound Divine mysteries than Moses. When Moses returns (better said, when the causal body, the body of will, is formed, it will be from) "a mist that shall go forth from the earth and that will water the whole face of the ground" (Genesis 2: 6); that, is, אד Od (a mist). shall be taken from Adonai (Lord of Malkuth, our physicality) through Vav (our spine) from Nun (our sperm). When we add ו Vav and ן final Nun to אד Od we spell אדון Adon, master or lord of the earth, by whom the earth shall be watered.” —Zohar
Master Jesus continues:
In that day, he which shall be upon the housetop, and his stuff in the house, let him not come down to take it away: and he that is in the field, let him likewise not return back. Remember ( אדית Edith) Lot's wife. Whosoever shall seek to save his - Chaiah חיה - life shall lose it; and whosoever shall lose his - Chaiah חיה - life shall preserve it. —Luke 17: 31-33
Do you understand the former statement? Chaiah חיה is the fourth type of soul, which relates to the sexual energy, אד Od, the mist of Yesod, the abode of יהוה אלהים Iod-Havah Elohim – Binah in the earth. If you are an alchemist, and if you study the tree of alchemy, Daath, the tree of knowledge of good and evil, you will understand the former quotations easily, since they relate to alchemy.
The book of Jasher, one of the Apocrypha – forbidden books that are not in the Bible – talk about this in a very beautiful and open way; ישר Jasher, which certainly means "honest," explains:
Then the Lord rained upon Sodom and upon Gomorrah and upon all these cities brimstone and fire from the Lord out of heaven. And he overthrew these cities, all the plain and all the inhabitants of the cities, and that which grew upon the ground; and (אדית Edith) אדו Ado the wife of Lot looked back to see the destruction of the cities, for her compassion was moved on account of her daughters who remained in Sodom, for they did not go with her. And when she looked back she became a pillar of salt, and it is yet in that place unto this day. And the בהמות oxen which stood in that place daily licked up the salt to the extremities of her feet, and in the morning it would spring forth afresh, and they again licked it up unto this day. —Jasher 19: 51-54
The book of Jasher named the wife of Lot אדו Ado, which is also אדית Edith, both names derive from אד Od, they have the same meaning.
The former quotation from the book of Jasher is an alchemical statement. If we don’t know alchemy, we might wonder, what is the meaning of, “which stood in that place daily licked up the salt to the extremities of the feet of Ado?” Who is אדו Ado or who is אדית Edith? If we look for the meaning of those Hebrew names, we discover that they mean אד Od, mist.
So, “And - אדו Ado - a mist went up from the ground and watered all the face of the ground.”
Let us clarify more what אד Od, or this mist is. אד Od relate to the sexual hormones that nourish the physical body, these rise from Yesod, sex. Now, Lot represents the human soul – an embryo of Tiphereth, the human soul that emerges from Abraham, Chesed. Lot was a son of one of the brothers of Abraham. And who is Abraham? He is our Innermost, our Inner Monad, our Inner Spirit, our Inner particular individual Elohim, Abraham is our own רוח אלהים Ruach Elohim, the Spirit of Elohim within, the Son of the soul Chaiah; if we address the five souls Abraham is רוח אלהים the Ruach Elohim, the Spirit of the Elohim.
So then, Lot was a son of one of the brothers of Abraham. If we visualize our Inner Being, our Inner Abraham, our Innermost, our Spirit, then we also can understand that all people’s have their own particular Abraham, because they have their own particular Spirit too. Thus, their own Innermost, their own Inner Spirits will be brothers of our own Spirit, our own Abraham. Now, since we as souls live within this physicality, we represent Lot, the son of our own particular Spirit. Now, since my Spirit is teaching the souls – my Spirit, in this case will represent Abraham, who teaches you, who teaches Lot, who teaches the soul. So, each soul of us will be Lot, since each soul is a son of a Spirit, which together form a brotherhood. Do you understand this? It is simple. That is why, in this journey in which we are teaching this doctrine, the modern Abraham’s name is Samael Aun Weor. And Lot represents all us, the souls in this physical world that are following the doctrine, and whose spirits are making disciples.
As Abraham had also his disciples, Lot also has his, as it is written:
And Lot also, which went with Abram, had flocks, and herds, and tents. And the land was not able to bear them, that they might dwell together: for their (אד Od, mist or) substance was great, so that they could not dwell together. —Genesis 13: 5, 6
Now, this is what we have to understand and comprehend in relation to the five types of souls, flocks, and herds, symbolizes Nephesh, the Animal Soul. This is so simple to understand.
When we are teaching this doctrine, we are also teaching to Nephesh. But we have to study who Nephesh is – the lowest of all the souls – in order to comprehend how Lot is related to it. The oxen are the behemoth, the beasts of the earth, bulls, cows, our animal psychic aggregates that lick the salt of אד Od, the wife of Lot, which is of course our physicality. Because, Lot, the embryo of human soul that all of us have within has to work with אד Od, the sexual secretions of his wife. אד Od, or the sexual mist rises from our physicality which represents the wife of Lot; properly said, אד Od, or this mist, is that sexual hormonal substance secretion that rises from our body and that feeds our soul, our psyche.
When we are studying endocrinology, we go deep down into alchemy. Because in order to develop the psyche, we have to take advantage of our sexual hormonal secretions. When a couple are in the sexual act, their אדו Ado or אדית Edith (as it is also called) rises from their sexual organs and water all of their physicalities, and then they get sexually aroused. And if they are wise, they will take advantage of all of the hormones of their wives, this means that they will take advantage not only of אד Od rising in their physicality, but also in the physicality of their spouse. This is how the alchemists work. Both have to work together, the Spirit, Abraham with Lot together, they have to work. The book of Genesis explains all of this, but in a very cryptically manner, thus, if we do not know how to read it, we will then enter into confusion.
The tree of life has Three Pillars, namely:
Three Sephiroth of יצר Yetzer form are found in the Pillar of Severity (Binah, Geburah, and Hod).
Three Sephiroth of אור Aur energy are found in the Pillar of Mercy (Chokmah, Chesed, and Netzach).
The Pillar of Equilibrium is between these two pillars, where all of the distinct levels of תודעה consciousness are found (Kether, Tiphereth, Yesod, and Malkuth). —Samael Aun Weor
Lot is just a spark, an embryo of human soul, Tiphereth, that has to work with אד Od, the mist of the Earth.
The first triangle of the tree of life in our physicality, relates to the four elements. Air is Kether, fire is Chokmah, and Binah is Mem, water. Each one of them controls a triangle or heaven, and the earth is at the very bottom as we already explained. This earth is Edith, Lot’s wife, which is also called Ado – which means steam, vapor, in other words, the sexual hormones that rise from the physicality of each one of us. This is why it is written:
“These are the generations of (א Aleph, ש Shin and מ Mem) - הא שמים Ha Schamayim - the heavens and of the earth when they were created (b'hibaram בהבראם by Abraham), in the day that יהוה אלהים Jehovah Elohim (Chaiah חיה - Binah) made the earth and the heavens, and every plant of the field before it was in the earth, and every herb of the field before it grew: for יהוה אלהים Jehovah Elohim (Chaiah חיה – Binah) had not caused it to rain upon the earth, and there was not Adam אדם to till (h'adamah האדמה) the ground. And a mist ( ואד v’ad) went up from the earth, and watered the whole face of the ground (h'adamah האדמה).” —Genesis 2: 4-6
The mist אד Od that went up from the earth, and watered the whole face of the ground - האדמה h'adamah - is אדית Edith or אדו Ado; האדמה h'adamah is a feminine name: אד Od or Ad is directly related to מה Mah, the feminine aspect of the waters or hormones of our genitalia, which in Malkuth, our physicality is represented by Yesod. In kabbalah, Malkuth, our physicality, is also named האדמה h'adamah, because it is feminine, receptive. This is why it is written:
And יהוה אלהים Iod-Havah Elohim formed – יצר האדם ietzer ha’ Adam – of the dust of - האדמה h'adamah - the ground, and breathed into his nostrils - נשמת חיים Neshamah Chayim - the breath of life; and Adam became (physically) a living soul. —Genesis 2: 7
A living soul - נפש חיה Nephesh Chaiah - this is how we have to visualize Adam’s physicality in Eden.
Now we find that Abraham represents Chesed, Isaac represents Geburah, and Lot represents Tiphereth, but Lot is only an embryo of the soul נשמת Neshamah. Lot is a human soul in the process of development. It is an embryo of soul that could grow as - נשמת חיים Neshamah Chayim - if we take care of it; thus, an embryo of human the soul נשמת Neshamah is only what we have. The human soul נשמת Neshamah is what Jesus call the son of man, in other words, the son of האדם ha’Adam. Alchemically speaking, the son of האדם ha’Adam, is the son of אד Ad or Od, our sexual hormonal secretions, “the son אד Od (the mist of מה Mah) that shall be taken from Adonai (Lord of Malkuth, our physicality) through Vav (our spine) from Nun (our sperm). When we add ו Vav and ן final Nun to אד Ad we spell אדון Adon, (Who is מי Me, the superior waters of heaven), the master or lord of the earth, by whom the earth shall be watered.” —Zohar
We are studying the doctrine of Alchemy written in the book of Genesis. As souls, we represent Lot an embryo of the soul נשמת Neshamah.
Now, Sodom and Gomorrah are called the impure formations, [יצר הרע Yetzer Ha’rah]. Many Kabbalists translate יצר הרע Yetzer Ha’rah as Evil Inclination. We can also call it Evil Inclination since these formations are always inclined towards our animal aspect, which is animal orgasm, fornication. But the right translation of יצר הרע Yetzer Ha’rah is Impure Formation, because all the יצר Yetzer, pure or impure formations that exists in the universe come from or are created by the forces of Binah, the Holy Spirit, in an animal mechanical manner, namely יצר הרע Yetzer Ha’rah, or in the alchemical manner יצר הטוב Yetzir Ha’tob, the good formations by the intervention of Chaiah חיה, the soul of Binah, our intelligence. The book of Jasher states:
And Lot and his two daughters remained in the cave, and they made their father drink wine, and they lay with him, for they said there was no man upon earth that could raise up seed from them, for they thought that the whole earth was destroyed by the fire. —Jasher 19: 57
Likewise, the book of Genesis talks very plainly and openly how the two daughters of Lot gave him wine to drink, how they made him drunk; and when he was drunk, his daughters seduced him. First the older, and then the younger, thus, both of them became pregnant by their own father. If we read this literally, we will say, this is incest! Yes, it is, but an alchemical, psychological incest. This is something related to our animal psychological nature. We have to study how these two daughters relate to Lot, our embryo of the soul נשמת Neshamah. To begin, the name לוט Lot is written with Lamed-Vav-Teth, this word means covering. This means that לוט Lot the embryo of the soul נשמת Neshamah is not free; it is wrapped, trapped within the animal ego. And this is precisely the main point of this lecture.
And I found more bitter than death the woman (Ha'Ishah האשה, meaning, the Esh אש, fire between the two ה Hei, the male ה Hei and the female ה Hei, their genitalia), whose heart is snares and nets, and her (Iod) hands as bands: whosoever pleases God shall escape from her (lust); but the sinner shall be taken by her (lust). - Ecclesiastes: 7: 26
Now, let us continue reading what the book of Genesis says in order for us to comprehend better.
Thus were both the daughters of Lot with child by their father. And the firstborn bare a son, and called his name Moab: the same is the father of the Moabites unto this day . And the younger, she also bare a son, and called his name Benammi: the same is the father of the children of Ammon unto this day. —Genesis 19: 36-38
The former quotation doest not say: the father of the Moabites of yesterday, or the father of the children of Ammon of past days; it says of this day, which means today and not yesterday.
Unto this day! As we see this is not a statement of yesterday, like: “Oh that happened yesterday, it is in the past, but today is different.” But what is this incest, which we have not understood unto this day? Well, we have to explain: who are these two daughters?
As you see the graphic that we are showing you is of half-human, half-animal women. Because the two daughters of Lot symbolize Nephesh נפש, the Animal Soul. And Lot symbolizes the embryo of the soul נשמת Neshamah, which is practicing alchemy; but unfortunately Lot is always seduced by his two daughters.
When Lot, the embryo of the soul נשמת Neshamah is detached from the רוח אלהים Ruach Elohim, the Spirit of God, from the Monad, it descends into האדמה h'adamah, the matter, and is wrapped covered with what we call, the protoplasmic lunar bodies. So Lot, the embryo of the soul נשמת Neshamah, the psyche that we have according to the law of evolution comes from the mineral kingdom, plant kingdom, animal kingdom and finally reaches the humanoid kingdom, or the kingdom of the intellectual animal. This evolution of the embryo of the soul נשמת Neshamah within the protoplasmic lunar bodies occurs in the fifth dimension. These protoplasmic lunar bodies is what Genesis called the old-daughter of Lot. It is called the old daughter because the protoplasmic lunar bodies are Nephesh נפש or Animal Soul, in other words, these are יצר הרע yetser ha-rah, impure formations that grow from the mineral kingdom, plant kingdom, until reaching the animal kingdom. These impure formations or lunar formations behave mechanically in all animals including the intellectual animal mistakenly called human being.
So, the older daughter of Lot is what all of us have within, because all of us have protoplasmic lunar bodies related to our emotions and to a type of רוח חית Ruach Chaioth, reasoning or thinking soul which is animal not human; this lunar mind or רוח חית Ruach Chaioth is what Genesis call Cain, the son of Lilith, the dark moon, who seduced Adam, the human soul, to commit incest, that is, to eat from the fruits of the tree of knowledge, his mother, the sexual force of האדמה h'adamah, the ground, from which יהוה אלהים Iod-Havah Elohim – Binah, his father, had taken the dust or solar archetypes in order to make of him a human soul. Cain is the רוח חית Ruach Chaioth, animal reasoning, that controls the central nervous system, instead of the רוח אלהים Ruach Elohim, the Spirit of God, Abraham.
When we go to sleep physically, our soul go out from האדמה h'adamah, our physicality, wrapped with our protoplasmic bodies, emotions and thought, that behave like animals because the protoplasmic lunar bodies are Nephesh נפש, Animal Soul. Thus, these protoplasmic lunar formations belong to Lilith, the older daughter of Lot, since these lunar formations are very old.
Yet the younger daughter of Lot is different. The younger daughter of Lot is that Nephesh נפש or animal element that resides in the vital body, which is the superior part of the physical body. In order for us to exist physically as animals, we need Nephesh Chaiah, the vital soul power of the vital body or ethereal body. That vital soul power of the body is a lunar vital force which Genesis call אד Od, a mist that rises from the earth, and that waters the whole face of the ground. From the ground make Iod-Havah Elohim to grow every human body that is נחמד Nahemad, pleasant to the sight, and good for food. Thus, that ethereal body is not divine, it is Nephesh נפש, animal. And it behaves according to the animal impulses of the older daughter of Lot. This is why the older daughter says to the younger, let us give wine to our father. The older daughter says that to the younger because she needs the activity of the vital hormones of the vital body in order seduce Lot, for the physicality of the embryo of human soul, which is Lot, needs to be aroused by אד Od, the sexual hormonal mist that rises from Yesod, and that waters the whole face of האדמה h'adamah, the ground. Moreover, unfortunately, Lot is trapped into what we call lust, anger, pride, greed, envy, vanity, laziness etc. All of this is what we call Satan.
This is why some Kabbalists say, Lot was Satan. No! Lot is not Satan, Lot is the embryo of the soul נשמת Neshamah trapped within Satan, which is the ego, or what we call the psychological lunar aggregates, children of Lilith and Nahemad. The fiery hormonal vital forces of Yesod-sex that water the whole face of האדמה h'adamah, the ground, and that grows in every human body that is pleasant to the sight and good for food, descend from the fires of Elohim Gibor, Samael, Geburah. This is why it is alchemically stated that Samael seduced Eve, the genitalia, Yesod-sex, the mother of all living formations.
So imagine: where are we in the middle of all of this? We are the consciousness, the embryo of the soul נשמת Neshamah that wants to be free from Lilith and Nahemad or Sodom and Gomorrah, since Sodom and Gomorrah are inside of us; we carry them within. Most of the time, we say: this society is Sodom and Gomorrah, look how they behave; yet we forget that society is the expansion of the individual. Thus, if society is like Sodom and Gomorrah, it is because Sodom and Gomorrah are within every individual. This is what we have to understand and comprehend, because we have to escape from Sodom and Gomorrah, but these are not outside, but inside of each one of us.
Remember what Jesus said: “(הא) behold, the kingdom of God is within you.” Thus, in order to penetrate into the Kingdom of God – which is within us – we have to annihilate hell, which is within us. This is how we escape, but this escape is a psychological escape, which is not easy. But we are teaching the method here, which is how to escape from Sodom and Gomorrah. Thus understand that the children of Lilith and Nahemad are the Moabites, the children of Moab, and the children of Ammon, which are demons inside of us. Some Kabbalists say, Do not pronounce those names! Do not pronounce those names because you attract demons. Well, the truth is that you do not attract any of them, since you already have these demons within. And this is precisely what we have to understand, because the Zohar states, The Moabites worship an idol. They have the idol and this idol is called בעל פעור Baal Phegor or Baal Peor. Peor פעור means big mouth and בעל Baal means Sir. Pe פ is mouth, and עור Or has the meaning of flesh, your skin.
According to many Kabbalists, the Israelites were worshiping this idol. When you read that in the Bible, the Israelites were worshiping Baal Peor, you think immediately: Oh the ancient Israelites that physically were there in the wilderness. No, the Israelites are the archetypes that we have within: psychological elements, spiritual elements that we need to develop. But when we do not know how, we end up worshiping Baal Pheor. Baal means lord, lord of the big mouth, a demon related with the Sephirah Chesed. You see, what is Chesed? Chesed means mercy, charity, [Ratzon L’tet], the will to give; this is our spirit. But the opposite of Chesed is in Klipoth. Baal Phegor related with prostitution, pornography, and all of that klipothic force that in a very negative way performs charity for our own psychological Nephesh נפש our animality. Because lust is our sexual desire, sexual physical desire, that finds satisfaction in prostitution. That is why in this day and age, pornography is very common, very popular. Why? Because everybody carries Baal Phegor within, who is obscene. He is called the obscene idol of Moab, of course Baal Phegor performs charity for Nephesh נפש our animality, in Klipoth.
Now, the other idol that the children of Ammon worship is called Malcom or מולך Moloch. But this Malcolm or Moloch is hidden, concealed. It does not show up like Baal Phegor. When you go outside there in the streets, you find all the followers of Baal Phegor – who love pornography and prostitution – they talk about free love; they are worshiping that idol, which is the son of the younger daughter of Lot. When we are young and we showing our flesh, our skin, the hormones of our body, we are showing off because we are pleasant to the sight and good for food. Of course, the extreme of this נחמד Nahemad, pleasant satisfaction of desire, prostitution, is pedophilia, which is very common in this day and age amongst the Benhamites בן־העמיני followers of Lilith, they worship that other idol which is Moloch, we must conjure them as follows: By the holy Elohim and by the names of the Genii Cashiel, Sehaltiel, Aphiel and Zarahiel, at the command of Orifiel, depart from us Moloch! We deny thee our children to devour! Who are these children? Ben-Ami means the child of my people.
This came into my memory one day when I was investigating something esoterically in the internal planes. And I was invoking the negative forces, the left aspect of Geburah. Thus, I saw somebody coming from hell – riding a white stallion, and with a white tunic – open his way through the multitudes that were of course inside the earth. He was Moloch, thus, he, according to the conversation I had with him – teaches black tantra. He teaches the Israelites how to awake in evil and for evil. How to take advantage of the sexual force, but not like Baal Phegor, but in the tantric heathen way. The children of Moloch pray when they perform the sexual act, they pronounce many mantras or prayers, but in the moment they culminate the sexual act, they reach the orgasm, the spasm of the beasts. And this is how they develop the kundabuffer organ, the tail of Satan. And this is how the individual awakes but locked within the ego, the individual awakes in evil and for evil. I found many of them in the internal planes that are awakened in that way. And they always like to show off that they are awakened. But when you investigate what they are practicing, they are practicing black tantra or black alchemy. And some times, they disguise themselves with kabbalistic prayers; they are very religious, very fanatical Pharisees. Yet, during the sexual act, they reach the orgasm, but after pronouncing all these marvelous prayers in order to awake the tail, in order to develop the tail, that we call the kundabuffer organ. All of their dark proceeds are hidden. Yet now they are also in open, because when we go on the Internet, and see, we find that this X person is practicing witchcraft, or practicing shamanism, black tantra. Of course, the people that talk about these occult matters often do not know what they are talking about. But it is true. There are many of these individuals in the world that develop the kundabuffer organ and who know how to awake within the sphere of Lilith, the older daughter of Lot. Thus, because they awake in evil and for evil, they think: We are done, since we are awakened.
I have had many astral experiences with many of them in the internal planes. They come and try to hypnotize me, in order to force me to forget what I know, as if I am knowing this doctrine only intellectually; they ignore that I am a practical individual, and I cannot forget what I practicing everyday, what I perform daily. All this doctrine comes from within the kingdom of God. And they are, of course, afraid that we are openly talking about this, since they also are misguiding their own followers saying that what they do is positive, and thinking that they are going up and awakening the five types of souls that we already mentioned about. However, they are only fortifying their Nephesh נפש, animal soul and Satan, those animal elements that cover Lot. Thus they only end awakening their Lot in evil and for evil. And this is precisely the problem with the older daughter of Lot, because we have lust from ancient lives, past lives. That lust is the older daughter of Lot, that is our psyche.
Now, the lunar vital or superior aspect of the physical body that we have builds sexual hormones daily, these hormones go and rise and water our organism, and this is how we feel aroused; this is positive when this arousing is guided by the רוח אלהים Ruach Elohim, the Spirit of God, Abraham.
We have to transform Nephesh נפש, the Animal Soul, or as Greek mythologists say, we have to transform the donkey into a human being. But that is not easy; in order to transform the donkey into a human being we have to have a lot of willpower, we have to fight against the two daughters of Lot that have the tendency to go and multiply. Because it is written:
And the older daughter said to the younger, Our father is old, and there is no man to be a husband to us in the natural way: Come, let us give our father much wine, and we will go into his bed, so that we may have offspring by our father. —Genesis 19: 31, 32
This desire for offspring is precisely more notorious in the feminine body. The anxiety or the longing of having a child, arises from the psychological animal instincts of the older daughter along with the hormones of the younger daughter. Thus, they use that urge for multiplication as a weapon.
Remember the story of Abraham, that Sarah was sterile physically speaking, but internally and spiritually, was very fertile. While Hagar, related to the physical world was multiplying. This is the relation with our physicality. That is why it is very rare to find Madam Blavatsky or Joan of Arc among women, because there is always the drive, or that longing of being a mother. And they demand that from their husbands. There is nothing wrong with being a mother and a father, but if you want to be an alchemist, you have to sacrifice your many animal instincts, which cause instinctual perpetration of our animal behavior through our offspring. This is why not everybody wants to go out of Sodom and Gomorrah. Remember that Jesus said:
Whosoever loves (parenthood) father or mother more than me is not worthy of me, and whosoever loves (childrearing) son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me. And he that takes not his cross (marriage), and follows after me, is not worthy of me. — Matthew 10: 37, 38
And said, For the cause (of the Kundalini, the Schekinah) shall a man leave (the progenitive animal system of) his father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and they twain (phallus and uterus) shall be (INRI) one (fire in the cross of the) flesh. Wherefore they are no more twain (genetic forces), but (INRI) one (fire in the cross of the) flesh. What therefore God (INRI) has joined together (by means of the cross), let not man put asunder. - Matthew 19: 5, 6; the phallus joint to the uterus forms the sacred sign of the cross.
And this is why King David reminds us that we are just impure formations:
As a father has mercy on his children, יהוה has mercy on those (alchemists) who fear him. For he knows (that the ego,הרע יצר yetser ha-ra, the impure formation is) our maker. —Psalm 103, 13-14
Moreover it is written:
Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; and ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.
They answered him, We be Abraham's seed, and were never in bondage to any man: how sayest thou, Ye shall be made free?
Jesus answered them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whosoever commits sin is the servant of sin. And the servant abides not in the house for ever: but the Son abides ever. If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed. I know that ye are Abraham's seed; but ye seek to kill me, because my word hath no place in you. I speak that which I have seen with my Father: and ye do that which ye have seen with your father.
They answered and said unto him, Abraham is our father. Jesus saith unto them, If ye were Abraham's children, ye would do the works of Abraham. But now ye seek to kill me, a man that has told you the truth, which I have heard of God: this did not Abraham. Ye do the deeds of your father.
Then said they to him, We be not born of fornication; we have one Father, even God.
Jesus said unto them, If God were your Father, ye would love me: for I proceeded forth and came from God; neither came I of myself, but he sent me. Why do ye not understand my speech? even because ye cannot hear my word.
Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it. And because I tell you the truth, ye believe me not. —John 8: 31-45
However, when Jesus is addressing the devil, he is not addressing some entity outside of you but the lust inside of you. Such devil is the lustful ego within, that we have to fight. And this is precisely the problem with Lot, as with the most of us, since we are always seduced by our own particular psychological hormonal lustful daughters. Psychologically, all of us are children of incest. And that is precisely our problem. In the Zohar, we find this, Rabbi Yehudah said:
A person should sanctify himself during sexual intercourse in order to produce holy children, offspring with holy attributes who have no fear of the Impure Formation. This is according to the verse:
“Ye shall keep my Sabbaths, and reverence my sanctuary; יהוה אוני.” —Leviticus 19:30
The will to keep רצון לשמור Ratzon l’shamar, is to do the will of God. We talk in many lectures about, רצון לקבל Ratzon l’kabel, the will to receive and רצון לתת Ratzon l’tet, the will to give. But the will that we need to follow between the left and the right is the will to keep רצון לשמור Ratzon l’shamar. To keep the sexual energy in order to produce, develop, Giborim, children of the light, the solar bodies, inside. That is to keep the Sabbath, the seventh body, Malkuth, holy. The sanctuary is the sexual potency, און Aun. Ani אני is Auni אוני, our own sexual potency.
What is the Sabbath? Today is Saturday, right? The seventh day of the week. When we talk about creation, we talk about two laws: The law of three that creates – Father, Son and Holy Spirit – which is Aleph, Shin, Mem, alchemically speaking. This relates with our three brains, intellectual brain, emotional brain, and sexual motor-instinctual brain. Those are the three forces in our body, the law of three. But the law of seven organizes. So the law of three, the first triangle of the tree of life, has to work in the seven lower sephiroth, or the seven bodies of the true human being. The first one is Abraham, the Spirit. It is the first emanation of the Trinity. And the last one, the seventh, is Malkuth, our physicality – Sabbath relates to the seventh body. So to keep the Sabbath holy is to keep the sexual energy of your physicality, Malkuth, the seventh sephirah, holy. There are many people that keep the seventh day holy, every week. But nonetheless, they fornicate every Saturday, so they are not keeping their seventh body holy. Keep it! It says keep. To keep means to retain, not to release. Those who reach the orgasm of the beasts, are releasing the power of Ani אני, which is Auni אוני, the sexual power of יהוה. This is why the Zohar continues:
Rabbi Abba asked: What is the meaning of: "And sanctify my שבתות Shabbatoth (Hebrew Plural); and they shall be a sign between me and you, that you may know that אני יהוה I am your Elohim."? —Ezekiel 20:20
When the physicalities of a man and a woman are sexually united, they are שבתות Shabbatoth, well we must revere the sanctuary of Shabbatoth, the sexual organs. The woman and the man united sexually, are two Sabbaths, two physicalities, שבתות Shabbatoth. So to sanctify my Shabbatoth is to keep the sexual energy in the sexual act, in other words, keep אני יהוה Any Iod-Havah, which is the sexual potency, keep the Iod, do not ejaculate it. The י Iod is the - סוד sod - secret of י-סוד Yesod in the Sabbath, Malkuth. This is why it is written:
And Elohim said, let the (sexual) waters bring forth abundantly - חיה נפש Nephesh Chaiah – the living soul (from sperms and ovums), so that birds may fly above the earth in the open firmament of heaven. —Genesis 1:20
When you read the former quotation literally, you might say: Birds that the waters bring forth abundantly, may refer to penguins, but penguins do not fly above the earth in the open firmament of heaven, as crows and eagles do, so, what is this? People read in that way, mechanically; but why will Genesis, a book of alchemy, explain alchemical things this way? It is precisely because it is addressing the phoenix bird – that bird that we have to awake – that is Hadith the winged serpent of light, that has to awake here, and give us the wings of the angels. So, these are birds or angels that emerge from the sexual waters. This is what Genesis 1:20 alchemically states. The Zohar continues:
This (also) means that the 'mating period' of the sages are timed every Sabbath. And he warns them that because sexual intercourse is a precept, 'sanctify' means that you should sanctify (אוני auni my virility within) yourselves during (the mating of) 'my שבתות Shabbatoth (Hebrew Plural)' through the precept of mating. —Zohar.
Sabbath Sabbath is for your - און aun - sex drive, and to testify to את Ath (the Logos) your souls in the ninth (sphere, Yesod-sex); to rejuvenate at even; from even to even (two) שבתות Sabbatoth (as one) שבת-כם Sabbath agreement. - Leviticus 23: 32
We find another very beautiful thought when we were reading about birds in the Zohar, which is as follows:
When Rabbi Abba saw (דעת Daath) a tree whose fruit turned into a bird and flew away, he wept and said: If men only knew to what these things alluded, they would rend their garments! —Zohar
When you do not eat the fruit of the tree of knowledge, when you transmute it, when you keep the fruit and do not eat it as the beasts do, that fruit is transformed within you into a bird. This is what Rabbi Abba is saying; this occurs simply through the sexual act, and through alchemy, when you keep the Sabbath holy.
Rabbi Abba then asked: Why is it written: "The עלוקה leech (the ego) has two daughters, crying: Give, give" (Proverbs 30:15).
These refer to the two daughters of Lot, who correspond to the lusting Nephesh and the Nephesh that takes part in the body and constantly pursues the (עלוקה leech, the) Impure Formation (through wet dreams, the imagination, and fantasy).
Did you understand the former quotation? The two daughters that we have within always say: Give, give, because it is natural for the animal soul to suck the vitality of us. It is something natural, mechanical. But because, they do not know anything about spirituality, they do not ask to the Spirit but to the ego, Give, give, and the ego gives them lust, wet dreams, and they are satisfied. Thus, this is how the two daughters of Lot get pregnant with impurity within us. So in other words, the ego that we have, the psychological aggregates that we have are the outcome of incest between the human embryo of soul and the two Animal Nephesh Souls that we carry within.
Rabbi Joshua said: About לוט Lot, it is written, "he feared to dwell in Tzoar." It is also written there that "the leech has two daughters, crying: Give, give." The numerical value of fear equals that of עלוקה 'leech.' Rabbi Isaac said: If he was afraid, why then does the Impure Formation come to misguide people? But, this is indeed the way of the wicked. When he sees impurity, his fear lasts only a moment. He then immediately returns to his wicked ways and fears nothing. Similarly, when the (ego, the) Impure Formation sees the wicked being punished (in hell), it is afraid. But as soon as it leaves (Limbo), it fears nothing." —Zohar.
It is important to explain what Tzoar, which Rabbi Joshua is addressing, is. Do not confuse Tzoar with Zohar; these are two different words. Sooner or later, all of us will die, but because we have a lot of impurity, we will go to Tzoar, Limbo. What is Limbo? Limbo is what the Zohar and the Bible call Tzoar, which means pain, suffering, anguish.
So when you read this lecture, you say, "Please help me, I want to be free of my own Sodom and Gomorrah," right? But we are not physically immortal. Sooner or later, we will die, and we will go to Limbo, which the Bible calls Tzoar; Lot went there. For instance, we are afraid since we know that this humanity will be destroyed, condemned to Hell. But we do not want to go to Hell to experience the second death, we want to go up. So what do we do? We work hard, right? But eventually we will die, and we do not perform the whole work. Where are we going to go? We will go to Limbo. Because after Limbo, if we are degenerated and do not want to do anything spiritual, we will go down into the other spheres after Limbo. But those who follow the doctrine will go to Limbo, and eventually, they will go out of Tzoar, in order to continue their psychological alchemical work into a mountain.
Because when he was in Sodom, the angel said: "We will destroy this place, because the cry of them is waxen great before the face of Jehovah; and Jehovah has sent us to destroy it," because all of this humanity is polluted. They are just worshiping Satan, they are very degenerated. If you want to be saved, walk away alchemically and do not turn back. This means do not go back into your sinful fornicator habits and customs. Yet, Lot’s wife – according to her animal hormonal impulses – went back and was turned into a statue of salt – in the mineral kingdom. It is written that Lot said:.
Behold now, thy servant has found grace in thy sight, and thou hast magnified thy mercy, which thou had shown unto me in saving my life; and I cannot escape to the mountain, lest some evil take me, and I die: Behold now, this city is near to flee unto, and it is a little one: Oh, let me escape thither, is it not a little one? and my soul shall live. And the angel said unto him, See, I have accepted thee concerning this thing also, that I will not overthrow this city, for the which thou hast spoken. Haste thee, escape thither; for I cannot do any thing till thou be come thither. Therefore the name of the city was called Tzoar. The sun was risen upon the earth when Lot entered into Tzoar (Limbo)... But his wife looked back from behind him, and she became a pillar of salt. —Genesis 19: 19-23, 26
Thus, “The sun was risen upon the earth when Lot entered into Tzoar,” in other words, the Kundalini was risen in Lot’s physicality, his wife - who went back to fornication, living behind his chastity - then, Lot physically died and entered into Limbo. Lot went out of Sodom and Gomorrah with his two daughters into Tzoar (Limbo). But these two daughters belonged to Sodom and Gomorrah, because he was living in Sodom and Gomorrah. This is important to understand. The fact that we are going to be saved, and be able to help others, does not mean that we do not carry Lilith and Nahemad within.
And Lot went up out of Tzoar, and dwelt in the mountain, and his two daughters with him; for he feared to dwell in Tzoar: and he dwelt in a cave, he and his two daughters. —Genesis 19: 30
So, Lot went to Limbo, and thereafter, immediately, a new opportunity to be reborn in a new physical body came to him, Thus, Lot went out of Limbo into a mountain with his two daughters. That mountain is a new physicality, this is what the mountain means. Lot, the embryo of the soul נשמת Neshamah, with his two daughters went into a new physicality, the new younger daughter build in that cave or womb, the new physicality according to karma, based on the older daughter that Lot carried from ancient times. And of course, since they are Animal Souls, they are inside of him to follow the animal way. And thus, he committed incest in the cave in the mountain with his two daughters; this is what happens within all of us. We are Lot, we have two daughters, which are always multiplying, satisfying our animal desires, our Animal Souls. We have to comprehend that because the leech which covers Lot is Satan, the leech, the ego that sucks the energy inside of us. The Zohar says,
"And לוט Lot went up out of Tzoar (limbo)...." Because of the hormones (desire) of the Queen (דמלכא d’malka), a bit of refuse, which bears an engraved image, is separated from the right side and clings to the refuse of the (whole land of Havilah, our physicality, where there is) gold that comes from the left side. And it (the engraved image) resides within the 'unholiness,' which was shaped into the image of (the tempting serpent in) the tree (of knowledge).
This is the alchemical explanation. Lot goes out from Limbo, the first sphere of Hell, because he wants self-realization. And because he knows that the gold that he needs in order to develop solar bodies is in the left side, into those images that we have, which are the children of his two daughters. And that is why he goes out into Sodom again, since he performs Sodomy because he carries that within. Because the tempting serpent – which is the tail of Satan – is guiding him.
Remember that Eve, the genitalia, received the fruit from the tempting serpent. The tempting serpent is the sexual animal desire of the two animal souls, the two daughters of Lot. The fruit is the Iod, the salt of the earth that the beasts like to suck. Thus, the two doughters always give the fruit to Eve, which is our genitalia. That is Eve, and Adam is the brain. The tempting serpent offers the fruit to the sexual organ: Multiply! You need children. And as we are, we are tempted in every life repeating the same thing. But we return, because in past lives, we received the doctrine and we want to steal the gold from the left side, as all that gold is in Sodom. And Sodom is all the degeneration that we carry within. We have to kill it and take the light, the gold, out of it; as Abraham, we have to collect that gold and destroy Sodom and Gomorrah. This is why it is written:
“(Through the orgasm) the primordial (tempting) Serpent penetrated the fruits of (Daath) that Tree (of knowledge), this being the wine that Lot drank. And it begot two (klipothic) grades that are interrelated and surround the side of Unholiness… These kinds of Unholy (klipothic) elements were separated (by Abraham in mount Moriah) and went forth, surrounding the Great Sea (ימא Yma in Yesod), and each and every aspect of (קליפות Klipoth) impurity turns towards (גיהנום Gehinnom) its place. In the same manner, down below (in Yesod). Lot (the embryo of the soul נשמת Neshamah), separated himself from (גיחון Gihon, which is Chesed) Abraham and dwelt among the (gold of the) people of Sodom. When the Judgment was aroused and they were overthrown, (Binah) remembered Abraham, and saved (Lot). Thus, (this is how) Lot (the embryo of the soul נשמת Neshamah) was separated from (Sodom and Gomorrah).” —Zohar.
Do you remember that it is written, that Elohim did tempt Abraham:
And it came to pass after these things, that Elohim (Gibor from Geburah) did tempt Abraham, and said unto him, Abraham: and he said, Behold, here I am. And he said, Take now thy son, thine only son Isaac, whom thou lovest, and get thee into the land of Moriah; and offer him there for a burnt offering upon one of the mountains which I will tell thee of. —Genesis 22: 1, 2
There are many paintings about this. What Abraham did alchemically in the land of Moriah, by using the knife of the consciousness, is to cut from Isaac the idols of Moab and Ammon, the demonic forces that all of us carry within. He cut them from Isaac by means of fire, which is symbolized by the goat or lamb that he sacrificed instead of his son. That means that his son, the outcome of chastity and alchemy, was separated from these two idols. This is what we have to understand about Abraham sacrificing Isaac. He is not sacrificing Isaac, but sacrificing those forces that are united to Isaac, which is the outcome of chastity. The Zohar continues saying about Lot:
His daughters, the daughters of Lot, made him drink wine and they bore him two nations. One was named Ammon, which is hidden, and the other Moab, which is revealed. The grade of Ammon is מלכום Malcom or Moloch, the adviser of concealment. —Zohar.
What type of wine did Lot drink from the cup that his incestuous daughters offered to him? Revelations answers:
And the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet color, and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls, having a golden cup in her hand full of abominations and filthiness of her fornication. —Revelation 17: 4
That woman is the older daughter of Lot who is not outside but inside of us. She is always offering to Lot that wine to drink. Remember the two idols, worshipped by the two children of the daughters of Lot. One is hidden and the other is revealed, the two of them are inside us. People say, I am not an idol worshiper because they think that being an idol worshiper means having a statue of somebody in their home. No! An idol worshipper is the any who has the ego within. Not to be an idol worshiper is to be rid of those elements that we have within. The Zohar states:
The grade of מואב Moab is פעור Peor, which is completely revealed – prostitution, adultery, fornication, sexual freedoms that are common in this day and age. His daughters behaved similarly. One said, "Ben-Ami (literally. בן־עמי 'son of my people') I have a son from my nation," but she did not name the father. This is why he is related to the concealed aspect. The other daughter said, "Moab, he came from my father מואב ־ Me'ab). I have borne a son from my father." Thus, this son's grade is פעור Pheor, the unconcealed aspect (of our own psychology). —Zohar.
So we have a lot that is concealed within us, which the Kabbalists also call Lilith. And the one that is revealed and very obvious is Naamah or Nahemad. These are the two psychological moons, the white moon Nahemad is revealed – prostitution, adultery, fornication – but Lilith, the black moon, or black Isis, is hidden – witchcraft, sorcery, black tantra. Individuals that awake in evil and for evil and simply look for doing bad, evil things to humanity.
In synthesis, Lot represents our embryo of human conscience trapped in the ego. His older daughter represents the mechanical, lunar, selfish, conscious quality of our emotional, mental protoplasmic bodies that evolved from the mineral, vegetal, animal kingdoms in the inverse fifth dimension; his younger daughter represents the mechanical, lunar, selfish conscious quality of our vital animal intellectual ethereal body that rotates 108 times within the fourth dimension; both constitute the blueprint for our physical animal nature in Malkuth, our tridimensional world of Euclid.
Questions and Answers
Audience: How do we understand the relation of the sephirah Daath or tree of knowledge in the throat in relation with Yesod in the genitalia with the left and right pillars, or good and evil with the different levels of consciousness of the pillar of the center whose canopy is Kether and which roots sink down into Klipoth – Hell?
Instructor: When we talk about the Tree of Life, we talk about three branches. Usually, we say three pillars: pillar of the right, pillar of the left, and pillar of the equilibrium which is in the center. The pillar of the equilibrium is where we (as initiates) begin as animals, Nephesh. We begin with Nephesh, the Animal Soul. We have to stop thinking like many neophytes initiates who enter into the practice of alchemy and say: “Oh I have to be very saintly in the sexual act.” Yes, we have to be very saintly, but it takes a great amount of psychological alchemical work in order to overcome our Animal Soul, which is at the roots of the pillar of the equilibrium, because Lilith and Nahemad are below Malkuth in Klipoth. And in all these lectures where we talk about the two daughters of Lot, understand that these are related to Klipoth, the Animal Soul – animal behavior – that we have to control and eventually completely overcome.
And so it is written, The first Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit. Howbeit that was not first which is spiritual, but that which is animal; and afterward that which is spiritual.
The first Adam is of the earth, earthy: the second Adam is the Lord from heaven. As is the earthy, such are they also that are earthy: and as is the heavenly, such are they also that are heavenly. And as we have borne (in our genitalia) the image of the earthy, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly.
Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption. Behold, I show you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.
For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory. O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory? The sting of (the second) death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law (of karma). - 1 Corinthians 15: 45-56
Remember what Kabbalists state: Klipoth is synthesized into two spheres: Lilith and Nahemad. We will say, individually speaking, our particular individual hell is synthesized in the two daughters of Lot. We are the psyche, and these two daughters are Lilith and Nahemad, which are within. So we have to overcome them inside us in order to go out of Sodom and Gomorrah.
To go out of Sodom and Gomorrah means to go out of hell, our particular individual infraconsciousness. And the path is through the middle, the central column, because this is the column of equilibrium in which the left and the right are balanced. The good you will receive from Chesed.
Remember that the goal is to create an Elohim, knowing good and evil. Of course, we might say: From where are we going to get the knowledge of evil? We answer, do not worry about it, of evil you have a lot! Just walk in the middle and the left side, the daughters of Lot will show you your own evil. They will tempt you, because the feminine aspects of us always tempts us to receive gratification for your ego. So you have to walk in the middle, which is the consciousness. However, the right is Ratzon L’tet; the left is Ratzon L’kabel – to give and to receive but in equilibrium – and for that you have to keep the Sabbath holy.
Audience: I was wondering what exactly is the difference between the five different souls, and the three souls that are on the Kabbalah – the human soul, the divine soul and the spiritual soul? Then you have these five other souls which are similar but not exactly the same.
Instructor: When we talk about the five souls in Kabbalah, I can show them in relation to your body. I think I do not need to explain the animal soul, Nephesh. It is what pushes you to behave like the animals we are, but we want to be humans, so we need to defeat the Animal Soul.
The Ruach, the Thinking Soul, also develops inside of us through evolution, and now, it is the intellect. So the mind in the mineral kingdom is very innocent; the same goes for the plant kingdom. The elementals that are growing and developing in those kingdoms have a mind that obeys angels somewhat mechanically, but they do nonetheless.
The same goes for the animal kingdom. The animals fornicate ignorantly, they reach the orgasm then lose their energy because they act on instinct; their minds do not know the difference between good and evil. However, when we reach the level at which we are – the Intellectual Animal – we know the difference between good and evil. For that, we have been given the commandments, the rules, and regulations to follow in order to reach the human level, right? And that is precisely the type of Ruach we have right now.
But unfortunately, that Ruach is lunar, is Cain and is also filthy. If you investigate the way that you think – because this culture and society teaches you only mechanical things that are against spirituality; if you are an atheist they worship you because you are very intelligent – that’s the Ruach or mentality that that people have developed in this day and age.
Now Neshamah is Lot, but only an embryo. He has the opportunity to develop, but unfortunately, that embryo of Neshamah is trapped within the ego or all the different vices and errors that we have within. Our own embryo of Neshamah, unfortunately is trapped within Sodom and Gomorrah.
Now Chaiah, the Living Soul, is the Holy Spirit. It is the sexual force that the animal utilizes in the wrong way. However, we are learning how to utilize that sexual force in the right way. Instinctually, our Nephesh wants to take advantage of that Living Soul, Chaiah, in order to satisfy the lust, in order to multiply like the animals, in order to have children, …
If we take advantage of Chaiah, then we awake Yehidah in the spinal column. And this will eventually go on different levels and degrees to unite us to the Universal Father. However, this is a long process. In other words, we have all these – Nephesh, Ruach, Neshamah, and Chaiah – in our physicality. However, Yehidah is up to us to develop; it is what the Bible calls Christ, the Light. Unfortunately, it is not something that we have, but we can have it. If we keep the Sabbath holy, then Yehidah will develop in different levels, and finally, it will take us to the absolute.
Audience: Are the first four all Malkuth or in the Yesod also?
Instructor: All of them. Nephesh is in Malkuth, it is what shapes our own physicality. The physicality that we have is the outcome of Nephesh. The Ruach is the outcome of evolution and the teachings we receive in this society. They are ruled by animals that call themselves humans. Neshamah is the embryo of soul that is within everybody – minerals, plants, animals, intellectual animals all have a spark of Neshamah.
Audience: The buddhatha or buddhadhatu is the same as?
Instructor: The buddhatha or the buddhadhatu is the same embryo of soul. And Chaiah, the Living Soul, is the force of the Holy Spirit that creates all of them, all the forms. But we need to work with Chaiah, in a very wise way, unlike animals. Because if we follow the instinct, Chaiah will give us children. But we want children of wisdom inside of us – these are call Giborim. And that is in the physicality too.
When you awake the Kundalini, the Schekinah in the physical world, that is Yehidah. But you have to awake the Kundalini in the Physical body, Vital body, Astral body, Mental body, Causal body, Buddhic body, Atmic body. And after that, the serpents of light, and that is Yehidah, all that is Yehidah.
Audience: So we have Yehidah in potentiality? It is not that we do not have it, but it is there as a seed?
Instructor: Exactly! Yehidah is in potentiality, but not in activity. The rest are active in different degrees.
