The Gnostic Retreat in Maine (August 9-14) was a powerful event for all who attended, and we are grateful to everyone who made it possible.
Upon returning home from the retreat, some events have been unfolding that are worth observing. To understand them, let us contemplate these words:
"In the world of Kether we comprehend that the great Law controls all that is created. From the world of the Elder of the Days, we see the human multitudes as leaves hurled by the wind. The Great Wind is the terrible law of the Ancient of Days. “Vox Populi Vox Dei.” A social revolt contemplated from the world of the Ancient of Days is a law in action. Each person, the entire multitudes, look like leaves detached from the trees, hurled by the terrible wind of the Ancient of Days. People do not know about these things. People are only preoccupied by acquiring money and more money. This is the poor, suffering humanity, who are only miserable leaves hurled by the great wind (the Hurricane), miserable leaves hurled by the great Law." - Samael Aun Weor
Several students at the retreat experienced ordeals related to their relationships, whether to stay with their spouses, or go with new people. These ordeals—conflicts in the heart—are painful and hard to comprehend.
On the retreat, students performed a powerful spiritual practice related to the Rune Hagal. After the retreat, on August 15, the lecture Rune Hagal was published on Gnostic Teachings. This lecture explains how the rune is related to the wind and to hurricanes. In addition, although the rune hagal is nordic, the word hagal in hebrew (הגאל) means "the Redeemer." The same day, a small storm began gather in the Atlantic Ocean. On August 21, the storm was classified as a major hurricane, and named Irene.
"While the hurricane was howling, I solitarily continued on my way during that night of mystery...
He then explained how he had to choose between two women: his wife Litelantes, or another who was waiting for him. In the astral plane, he asked his guide:
“Master,” I said, “what could you say about my spouse Litelantes?”
“Oh, Guru, what I hope for with infinite longings, at any cost to me, is the awakening of the Kundalini and the union with the Innermost...”
“But, what have you said, oh disciple - at any cost?”
“Yes, Master, I have said this...”
“A payment was given to someone on this night, and to him the duty of helping you in the awakening of your Kundalini has been entrusted. You have passed the DIRENE ordeal..."
Fidelity to the Innermost is the anchor that sustains us through the storms of life. As this major hurricane Irene descends upon the millions of people in its path along the East Coast of the United States, we sincerely pray that they remember their Inner Star, and devote themselves to It, allowing all else to come and go as necessary, in accordance with the Great Wind. No man can serve two masters: all must choose between the Virgin and the Whore.
"Before the false dawn came over this earth, those who survived the hurricane and the storm gave praise to the Innermost, and to them appeared the heralds of the dawn." - The Testament of Learning (The Dayspring of Youth)
May all suffering end. May all beings find the joy of the Innermost.
"The one who does not know how to fulfill his duties as a simple citizen cannot tread the path of the great mysteries. Many disciples forget the good manners of a sincere and honorable gentleman or lady and become truly irresponsible and even dangerous individuals."
