Throughout the great breadth of the Gnostic teachings are hundreds of prayers and magical phrases, all of which offer specific results and benefits which are discovered through direct experience. This page is not intended to be a catalog of such prayers; it is merely a reference for often-cited ones, and those which are of most immediate importance for students of all levels.

It must always be remembered that any prayer or supplication to the divine is only as effective as the depth of sincerity in our heart; a prayer uttered mechanically, without any real feeling, will be cold and lifeless. A simple emotion, longing for the forgiveness of our own Spirit, will bring more results than the most fantastic or complex recitation.
