This is a transcription of the audio lecture The Woman and the Serpent, which you can download for free. When you examine the symbol of the serpent you find that it relates to many religions. The serpent is always within many myths; it is related with creation, with transformation. However, in this lecture we are going to study it in the Bible, since Christianity and Judaism refer to the serpent in many different ways. The mystery of the serpent is always associated with the woman, as Moses tells it in the beginning in his book of Genesis, and as quoted in different chapters of the New Testament, and as it was explained in the lecture about the Kundalini, which is symbolized as a serpent. In the Bible we find the first statement about the serpent and the woman in chapter three of the book of Genesis. The verses of Genesis 3 are Kabbalistic and alchemistic statements that few people can understand, since they are written in a very cryptic manner that is not easy to comprehend if we do not know the Hebrew alphabet.
To begin, let us remember what we stated in the lectures about the Garden of Eden, that in Hebrew you find many words related with earth, ground, dust; today we are going to talk about another Hebrew word that points to the same topic, and this word in English is “field,” which is similar to ground, earth, and dust of the earth. In Hebrew, these words are:
This Hebrew word - whether pronounced “sade, sada, shadah, or Shaddai” - has different meanings. To begin, it is written with the Hebrew letters Shin, Daleth, Hei, or alternatively with Shin, Daleth, Yod, as in Shaddai; it has different modifications: Shin, Daleth, Yod spells “Shaddai” as in the name of God in the sephirah Yesod, which is Shaddai-El-Chai, the sacred name of God as which - according to Moses - God manifested himself unto Abraham, Isaac and Jacob:
So, this word Shedd, Shadah = שדה or Shaddai = שדי can mean: "breast, tit, demon, devil, fiend, goblin, gremlin, sprite, bogey, fantom, genie, ghost, ghoul, gnome, hobgoblin, incubus, kobold, mephistopheles, phantom, poltergeist, puck, shade, spirit, bogy, daredevil, field, lea, sphere." You might wonder about these meanings. The most common interpretation of Shaddai is “almighty,” since in Kabbalah we state that Shaddai-El-Chai means the Almighty Living God, the name of God given in Atziluth to the sephirah Yesod, the ninth sephirah of the Tree of Life (Otz Chaim). By enquiring about the Hebrew Otz Chaim, which is always translated as the Tree of Life, you discover that the plural word Chaim is written as a singular word in Shaddai-El-Chai. Chai means “life,” which is written with two Hebrew letters: Chet and Yod: Chai. Thus, from the word “Chai” emerge many different words. Shaddai-El-Chai, the Almighty Living God (which is the name of God in Yesod), is the first sacred name in Genesis with which God manifests unto Abraham; yes God reveals himself to Abraham with the name “Shaddai-El-Chai,” since according to Exodus the name Yod, Hei, Vav, Hei, “Yod-Havah” is the name with which God manifested himself to Moses.
All of these Hebrew words have different meanings, which we are going to enquire into in order to comprehend the mystery of the serpent and the woman, a mystery that we find in the field, in Shadah, in the breast, a mystery that relates to many things; since the word Shadah, Shadde, Shedd, Shaddai has many interpretations. “El” in Hebrew means God, so “El Shaddai” is the God of the Fields, and is sometimes translated as “the God who nourishes,” since Shaddai derives from the Hebrew word Shad which means a women’s breast. As you see, these words שדה or שדי indicate a sexual subject-matter. Remember, Shaddai is part of the name of God in Yesod, and in the human organism Yesod is the sephirah related with the sexual organs. The serpent appears in the beginning of the chapter three of the book of Genesis as follows:
Here, the Hebrew word Shadah from Shaddai is translated as “field.” This verse indicates that the serpent is the most subtle Chaiah (animal) in Yesod; since in Yesod we find the origin of all of those Genii, all of life, because Yesod is “Shaddai-El-Chai” and “Chai” is life. The Tree of Life is “Otz Chaim.” Chaim is not life but lives; it is a plural word, thus the true translation should be “the Tree of Lives,” because indeed every sephirah above Yesod is an independent life, an independent land with lives that manifest in different dimensions; a tree has many branches and fruits. So, each branch, each fruit of Otz Chaim is a separate life that emanates from Yesod, thus it is called Otz Chaim. In Hebrew, words ending in “-im” are plural. The roots of the Tree of Life or Lives are in Yesod, because in this sephirah we find the Almighty Living God (Shaddai-El-Chai) which relates to Shadah, Shadde, Shedd, Shaddai, to many interpretations, many names, even to the breasts of women. This gives us a very broad view about Yesod, “Shaddai”, the field of sexual energy. Yesod manifests the creative energy of the sephirah Binah. Binah is the third sephirah of the first triangle of Otz Chaim (the Tree of Lives). Binah is the Holy Spirit. Binah’s sacred name in Atziluth is Jahavah Elohim or Jah-Chavah Elohim - who appears in the verse that we are reading and explaining here. It says:
So behold the union, the connection (the letter Vav). “Jahavah Elohim made” means the Holy Spirit, Binah, made. This making is done through “Vav” (the serpent) in the center column of the Tree of Life. The first triangle (Kether, Chokmah and Binah) is governed by Kether. The second triangle (Chesed, Geburah Tiphereth) is governed by Chokmah. The third triangle (Netzach, Hod and Yesod) is governed by Binah. In other words, from the top to the bottom of the letter Vav, the three primary forces (Father, Son, and Holy Spirit; Kether, Chokmah, and Binah) control the Tree of Life in the center column. In Kabbalah the letter ‘Vav’ symbolizes the spinal medulla; ‘Vav’ the foundation of the property of hearing the word; ‘Vav’ means ‘and,’ ‘connection.’ The letter Vav unites ‘and’ interconnects all of the twenty-two Arcana within “Tiphereth,” the human consciousness, since all of them have to be developed within the spinal medulla of any Self-realized Initiate. This is why the incarnated word within the Resurrected Man says (Eheieh-Asher-Eheieh) and in book of Revelation: “I am the Alpha and the Omega (Aleph and Tav, all of the twenty two letters) the Beginning (“Kether”) and the End (“Binah”), the one who was, is and shall be the Lord Almighty (El Shaddai). To better comprehend, we should say - as it appears written in the book of Genesis - Elohim controls the Tree of Life from the midst (batuk in Hebrew). Behold how the word “midst” (בתוך batuk) always appears in Genesis:
So, Jahavah Elohim in the midst of the trees of the garden, relates to the Sephirah Daath which is in the central column (the Vav) of the Tree of Life. In the central column of the Tree of Life are Kether, Daath, Tiphereth, and Yesod; at the very bottom is Malkuth, the inferior aspect of Yesod. Kether governs above, the brain, the top of the letter Vav. Chokmah governs in Tiphereth, the heart, the middle of the letter Vav. Binah in Yesod governs the sexual glands, the bottom of the letter Vav. This is why the book of Genesis states:
This field (Shaddai) is in Yesod, the Lower Eden. Thus every time that you find the word “field” (Shadah or Shaddai) in the Bible, it relates to Yesod. Shadah or Shaddai is translated in many different ways, yet commonly it is “field”, the battlefield which is the field of Yesod, within which we also read that Cain killed Abel:
Thus, the field where Cain kills Abel is Yesod; this is how you Kabbalistically interpret it in order to understand. Now, in Genesis 3:1, there is another word which derives from “Chai” (life), as “Chaim” (lives), this is the word “Chaioth” just by adding the letter “Tav” (Th in English) at the end of the word “Chai” we form Chaioth, which means animals, yet, sometimes, it is translated as beasts. I.e. there is a phrase that we pronounce in Kabbalistic conjurations, which is: Chaioth ha Kadosh, these words are translated as “the Sacred Creatures” or the Holy Living Souls or in other words, animals (from Latin anima). These Chaioth are mention by the prophet Ezekiel:
So, we see here that from “Chai” (life) emerges “Chaim” which is life (the Sephiroth) above Yesod; yet “Chaioth” in Genesis 3:1 - the verse of our example - are the beasts below Yesod. It is written that when Jahavah Elohim made Adam in Yesod, he made him with the animals.
So, in other words, Chaioth, the animals, emerge from “Chai,” from the life of Yesod, which is the sexual energy of “Shaddai-El-Chai.” Nevertheless, as we read the verse:
We clearly read here that Jahavah Elohim (Binah) made all the “Chaioth” (beasts) that we find in nature. How did Jahavah Elohim (Binah) make the “Chaioth”? Through the sexual energy, since through it is how the animals multiply. “Chaioth,” the animals, belong to the kingdom below the Human Kingdom. Even though we call ourselves Human, we are still Chaioth. We are “intellectual Chaioth,” or intellectual animals as we say. We are still animals, but with intellect. In Malkuth, the earth (ha’aretz) we find all the “Chaioth,” whether they are irrational or rational, and all of them are made in the field of Yesod; all of them are made by “Shaddai-El-Chai” who is the almighty living God or the power of Jehovah Elohim in the sexual organs. When we as souls are in the circle of evolution, we progress from the mineral kingdom into the plant kingdom, and from the plant kingdom into the animal kingdom. Thus, from the animal kingdom the soul starts developing the desire-body that is guided by the Archangels. In the fourth and higher dimensions of nature are the angels, archangels, etc., who are the ministers of Jehovah Elohim, who help in the organization of nature. They organize the souls in different groups. Archangels are experts in the molding and manipulation of the desire-molecular-matter of irrational Chaioth, since molecular matter was the densest matter of the Solar Round. This is why Archangels are competent in the education and guidance of intellectual Chaioth for the molding and transformation of their desire-body (astral lunar body). Through the desire-body Archangels organize the animals. Animals - as we already know - multiply through fornication that is rooted in desire. As the Bible states in Genesis 3:1, “The serpent was the most subtle Chaiah among the Chaioth of the field of Yesod,” because it is that desire-force related with the sexual potency – a desire life force very active in animals. Yes, the serpent - as a symbol of “Shaddai-El-Chai” - is the most subtle energy produced by the human organism. At fourteen years of age the emotional brain starts its development based on our individual desire-body, which through the liver manifests its influence in the sexual organs of our cellular body. Indeed, we have in our physical body the inheritance of many animal forces that we brought from the animal kingdom. The most subtle of all of them is the serpent, the sexual potency, the sexual force, which in the animal manifests as instinctual sexual desire, Satan (Hebrew שטן Shatan); thus, our instinctual sexual centers manifest this life force of nature. Therefore, when we as souls enter into the intellectual animal kingdom, the threshold of the kingdom of Adam, we receive the following commandment:
The tree of the knowledge (Daath) of good and evil is the sexual organs, where the serpent, the sexual potency, manifests its life power. Thus, when we talk about the sexual force, unquestionably we have to talk about the serpent. In order to perform the sexual act we need the serpent, we need the most subtle life-force among the life-forces of our physical-chemical garden. In nature there exists an Archangel that specifically controls this life force (the serpent); notwithstanding, all Archangels relate to this life force, but specifically there is one in command of this life force: this is the Archangel Samael. Samael is the Archangel that relates to this serpentine-like subtle force of sex; this is why the serpent is one of his symbols. Among the symbols of Samael you find the standing serpent, which is the serpentine-like force that Samael controls whether in the animal kingdom amongst the Chaioth, or within the human kingdom amongst the Chaim. The Chaim are in Otz Chaim above Yesod, they depend on Samael, since in Yesod, Samael’s essence is that serpentine life-force; this is why when you study Samael in relation with nature and astrology you find that Samael’s life-force relates with two signs that in our physicality are joined by the medulla (the serpent): the sign of Aries and the sign of Scorpio. Scorpio is in Yesod (sex) and it is an astrological sign related with water, while Aries is an astrological sign that rules the head and is related with fire. As you know, the scorpion has poison (sam in Hebrew) in its tail; thus we can say that the sexual force manifests as a polarized force in Scorpio. Yet Aries, the ram, rules the head as fire that relates to the three primary forces, the first triangle of Otz Chaim: Kether, Chokmah, and Binah; Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. The serpent is the life-energy, the Kundalini that through initiation emerges from the chakra Muladhara and rises to the chakra Sahasrara in the pineal gland. When the Kundalini awakens, it goes straight up from the coccyx through the spinal column to the pineal gland; thus, if we visualize it astrologically, it goes from Scorpio to Aries, which are both ruled by Samael Archangel. This is why it is stated in Kabbalah that Samael rides on the serpent and operates through the serpent. Samael Archangel is not the serpent; understand this: Samael works through the serpent. It is not that the three primary forces (Father, Son and Holy Spirit; Kether, Chokmah and Binah) work by means of lust in Yesod through Jahavah Elohim, but, it is Jahavah Elohim working in Yesod as Shaddai-El-Chai; it depends upon how we use the life-force:
Let us remember that Jahavah Elohim, Binah, the Holy Spirit - in the head - is related to the pineal gland, where you find his relationship with the sign of Aries (Samael) whose symbol is the ram (the lamb), which is associated with Christ; yet Samael also rules in Scorpio, a sign of water, the sexual life force of Yesod (Shaddai-El-Chai). Likewise the name Iod-Havah or Jahavah, better said, Jah-Chavah: Jah is in the head and represents the masculine aspect. When we say Hallelu-Jah, we are pronouncing Jah which is Kether, the Father in the higher level of Atziluth; yet the feminine aspect of Jah-Chavah is Chavah (Eve) who is in the bottom, in Yesod (sex). So when we name the God Iod-Havah, Jehovah, or Jahavah, Jah is the head (of the serpent) and Chavah (Eve in English) is the sex (the tail of the serpent); behold here again the word Chai; it is written that Chavah derives from the word Chai which means life:
Behold then the names associated with Chai חי (life):
As it is written, the serpent talked to the woman and became a very friendly element to the woman. Understand that the woman that we are talking about here - as we explained in many lectures - is a symbol of the sexual organ. Yes, we also know - physical speaking - that the female body also represents Chavah (Eve); yet, when we go directly into the book of Genesis, according to the mysteries of Daath (Gnosis) we have to specify things: Chavah (Eve) that Adam (the brain) in the book of Genesis 3: 20 called the mother of “Chai”, all living, represents our sexual organs. This is how Gnostics understand Chavah, since either male or female gametes of life (Chai) emerge from the sexual organs of humans, animals, and plants.
So, now that we are delving deeper into the mystery of “Chai,” life, let me remind you that in our previous lectures about the Garden of Eden we stated that Malkuth (the physical body) with Yesod (the vital body) together form the Garden of Eden. Thus, when we talk about the Garden of Eden in relation with the microcosm, that is, in relation with us, we have to understand that we have to keep talking about our physicality; therefore, comprehend that when the serpent appears in Genesis, it is not a Chaiah, it is not an animal outside of us, but a life-force, a “Chai” inside of us; in other words this “Chaiah” animal-life is a life-energy that manifests in different levels and as (Shatan) animal desire it appears in Malkuth (the physical world) within different “Chaioth” animals; this is what we have to understand. This “Chaiah” life-force (the serpent, Shatan, animal desire) appears within every bull, within every lion, within every eagle, within every fish; it appears in different levels within different animals so that each one of them can channel different life forces from nature; yet in our human physical body, which is our own particular nature, our own particular Eden, we have all of those life-forces circulating as energies, in other words we have all of those Chaioth (life-forces), thus, we have to understand that when in the Bible, in Hebrew we read: (Veh ha Nachash) “And the serpent,” many translators translate this verse as “Now the serpent” as keep narrating a tale; yet the true translation is “AND the serpent” because the first letter appearing in that verse is the letter “Vav” which in itself implies “the serpent.” So when we read “And the serpent” immediately we associated that “AND” with our microcosmic “Vav” (our medulla), thus, we place our concentration, our mind, our imagination on our spinal column, which relates to the letter “Vav” in our physicality. The first verses of the book of Genesis start with “AND” (the letter “Vav”). So, “And the serpent” means the fiery life force of the spinal column, the “Vav”, the snake. Thus, Genesis 3:1 refers to a life force related to the spinal column but in the “field” (Shaddai) or chakra Muladhara related to Yesod (sex). The “field” of Genesis 3:1 does not refer to the top of the spinal column, to the head, or the middle, but to the bottom, the coccyx, which is “Shaddai.” Then, the serpent was the more subtle energy in Shaddai, in the field, in Yesod, among the beasts (Chaioth) or subtle life energies that go into sex. I.e. Behemoth is that pure animal fire (Chai or Chi) around the lower abdomen which also goes into the field of Yesod. So, the sexual energy and all of the energies that circulate in our physical body relate to many subtle life forces of nature; but as we read, the serpent is the most subtle life force that we have in our physical body, since it is the sexual potency. Therefore, when we are in the sexual act, that is the field where we find that subtle force, the force of the serpent in action. This serpent is what in Latin is named Lucifer: Lux is “fire” and Fer is “ferry, carrier.” “The carrier of the light-force” is the meaning of Lucifer. Yes, the carrier of the life force of God is the carrier of “Shaddai-El-Chai.” Lucifer is the most subtle force that manifests in our physical body, our own “Adamah,” but in the field of Yesod, that is, in “Shaddai.” How is our own Eve tempted? How does the serpent tempt Chavah? The serpent tempts our Chavah by means of the sexual impulse that we feel in the very moment when we want to perform the sexual act. This is why it is stated in the book of Genesis that Jahavah Elohim, Binah, the Holy Spirit in the Garden of Eden, in the physical body said to the soul:
“Ye shall not eat of it”, in other words, you shall not extract the life-force (Shin) from your genitalia as Shatan does it through animal desire. Why? Because the word “Chai” (life) begins with the letter Chet. Let us study it:
The letter Chet is made from two letters: on the right is a “Vav” that is joined to a letter “Zayin” on the left; together they form the letter “Chet,” which is similar in shape to the letter ה “Hei.” The left line in the letter ח "Chet" touches the top, yet the left line in the letter ה “Hei” does not touch the top. “Hei” is the letter related with the name יהוה Yod, Hei,Vav, Hei. So, in the letter ח “Chet” we find the letters Vav and Zayin together. If we write the letter “Yod” to the left, we then form the word חי “Chai,” which means life. Thus the letter “Chet” is associated with the two fiery polarities (Ida and Pingala) of “Nun” (the seed of man and woman): the letter ו “Vav” is masculine and the letter ז “Zayin” is feminine. The letters “Vav and Zayin,” Adam and Eve, together make the letter “Chet” which - with the letter “Yod” - you pronounce “Chai,” which means life. In other words, “Nachash” the fire of life in the spinal column is in the seed. The life-force (represented in the letter Shin) of the Tree of Life “Otz Chaim” develops in the spinal column; the fire of life is enclosed within the two polarities of the letter “Nun”: the zoosperm and the ovum, the seeds "fish" of the man and the woman. The man is represented by the letter ו “Vav” and the woman by the letter ז “Zayin,” and together they make the letter “Chet” (the sound of the "ch" as in "Bach").
When we read in Hebrew about the Tree of Life “Otz Chaim” we immediately see the letter “Chet,” which represents life in the two polarities that in Sanskrit are called Ida and Pingala; in Kabbalah Od and Ob; in Genesis Adam and Eve. These two life forces emerge from “Chai,” from Shaddai-El-Chai, which is Yesod, and nourish the “Otz Chaim” the Tree of Life. Any master, any prophet, any holy person, is always chaste, because from “Shaddai-El-Chai,” which is Yesod, the sexual force, he nourishes his own “Chai,” the life in his spinal column, Adam and Eve, the two polarities that come from the testicles or ovaries and form the “Chet” of “Chai.” In the middle of “Chet” we find Jah-Chavah, who is the Chai (life) along his spinal column. Thus Jehovah Elohim is in the midst of the two trees (the Tree of Life and the Tree of Knowledge of good and evil). And they (Adam and Eve) heard the voice of Jehovah Elohim walking in the garden in the cool of the day: and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of Jehovah Elohim in the midst of the trees of the garden. When you read in the Bible that Jehovah Elohim was in the midst of the trees, do not think that God as a spirit or as a ghost was there outside in nature. People who did not understand the meaning of these Hebrew words translated it incorrectly. They wrote “And Jehovah Elohim was among the trees” instead of “in the midst.” They translated “among the trees” as if God was like any deer or lion in the woods, among the trees of the forest; yet this is not the meaning of “in the midst.” The scripture is referring to Jah and Chavah the Elohim, as we explained. Jah the father is in the pineal gland, and Chavah the mother is in the sexual organs, who, united by the spinal medulla, are Elohim. This is the fire in the spinal column rising to heaven (the cloud), giving life to Adam the brain and Chavah the sex.
This is what occurs in the physicality of any prophet. This is why it is stated that any prophet is a prophet of Jahavah; there is not a single prophet in the world that is not a prophet of Jahavah, because in order to be a prophet you need to lift the serpent from Chavah (sex) to Jah (the brain) as Moses did.
This occurs when Adam and Eve in our body become witnesses of that fire of life that rises in the spinal column by means of chastity. Our physicality becomes then the body of a prophet, a master, a real avatar, a messenger, an Angeloi in Greek, because the two polarities Vav and Zayin are standing, as you can see in the letter “Chet”: both Vav and Zayin resemble a standing serpent: Ida and Pingala, Od and Ob. There is another Hebrew word in the Bible which we would like to enquire about, and is the word “Tzarah.” Tzarah is spelled with the letters Zayin, Reish, and Ayin זרע. Remember that the word Rah (רע Reish, Ayin) means “evil” or “pollution” in Hebrew. In order to write semen, seed in Hebrew, you write the word Rah (רע Reish, Ayin; which means evil) and write the letter ז “Zayin” at the beginning, thus forming the word Tzarah (זרע Zayin, Reish, Ayin). Tzarah means seed, semen. With this, we want to indicate how the letter “Zayin” - which is associated with the woman - relates to Rah (evil) and Tzarah (seed or semen), the sexual seed, either in the woman or in the man. Now we understand that the serpent tempted Eve, Chavah, through the seed. Kabbalistically, it is easy to understand, because when the sexual organs taste the fruit, it is because the serpent is tempting Chavah. This temptation is nothing but the sexual urge, the sexual desire, the animal desire, which is very subtle in us. To eat the fruit means to reach the physiological spasm or bestial orgasm through your Chavah. As it is written:
In other words, the sinner Eve said: the serpent, the most subtle Chaioth writhing in the sexual organs, in Yesod, gave me the impulse and I could not control the orgasm, so through Shatan, animal desire I ate as a beast. This conversation between God and the couple is clarified in this previous verse in the Bible:
Jahavah Elohim, the Holy Spirit, abides inside the trees (spinal medulla and sexual organs); Jahavah Elohim is in the midst of these trees. This means that through the midst of the spinal column Jahavah Elohim finds that there is no fire in the Tree of Knowledge (sexual organs), the fire is gone. This is why Jahavah Elohim asked Adam (the brain), "Where are you?" And Adam (the brain) said, "I heard Your voice in the garden, and I was afraid because I am naked; so I hid." He said he was naked because the living fire of God was gone, due to the orgasm. And Jahavah Elohim said, "Who told you that you are naked? Have you eaten from the tree of which I commanded you not to eat?" And Adam said, "The woman whom You gave [to be] with me she gave me of the tree; so I am eating." Meaning, the consequences of the sexual orgasm reached the brain. Jehovah Elohim, who is that living fire that was once standing in the spinal column went to the sexual organs and addressed the sexual organs, the woman: "What is this that you have done?" And the woman (the sexual organs) said, "The serpent enticed me, and I am eating." In Hebrew it is written: “And I am eating.” As well, Adam says: “And I am eating.” This means that through Shatan, animal desire, the orgasm we continue eating, or absorbing the fruit of desire; so it is not a action that happened in the past, but something that is happening now. People think that such a symbolic event happened only in the ancient Lemurian humanity, and that the eating of the forbidden fruit only occurred in the past. Yet, understand that this did not happen only in the past, since it is happening in the present: the Garden of Eden is our body. Thus, when that Godly fire enters into our physicality and searches the kidneys and hearts, our brain always says: “I am eating the fruit of desire,” and the sexual organs say: “The serpent gave the fruit and I am eating.” Yes, we eat the fruit of desire every single day, since Shatan, animal desire, orgasm is the origin of desire and from it emerge other defects or desires that always feed that Cain (animal mind) that came as an offspring of the fall. Let us now continue reading about the woman and the serpent:
In other words, the sinner Eve and the tempting serpent become close friends. Therefore, what we have to understand and comprehend is that the statement written in the verse 15 “I will put enmity between thee and the woman” refers not to the sinner Eve but to another woman. If we investigate that sinner Chavah (Eve), that sexual organ, in every single individual of this planet Earth, we will find that such a sexual organ is a very close friend of the tempting serpent, because everybody is a fornicator, everybody enjoys the physiological spasm, the bestial orgasm; therefore the sexual organ, the sinner Eve, Chavah, in the fornicator, is a friend of the tempting serpent of Eden. Jehovah Elohim, in the verse 15 of Genesis 3, is stating that in order for us to get out of that sinful state we have to follow the woman-serpent who is against that tempting serpent. She is above in Daath, the "Upper Eden" and is the energy of Kundalini, Aima Elohim, the mother of (Chaim) the living. When our sexual organ repents and starts transmuting the sexual energy, then our sinner Eve or Chavah, our sexual organ, in the "Lower Eden" transforms itself into “a chaste woman,” which in the gospels is one of the symbols of Mary Magdalene. This is why you find that within each one of us, there is always enmity between the seed of the serpent of fornication and the seed of the woman of chastity. This is why in Gnosticism we teach that there are two serpents:
Remember that in the New Testament in the gospel of John it is written that Master Jesus when talking to Nicodemus, a great Rabbi, he told unto him:
Who is this Son of Man? Kabbalistically, the son of Man is Tiphereth, the human soul, Abel the Son of Adam, who was killed by Cain in the beginning. Remember that it is written:
After the fall, Adam knew Chavah, meaning, Adam, the brain knew Chavah through the orgasm, thus Adam knew evil (Rah). This is how Chavah (the sexual organ) gave unto Adam (the brain) the offspring of its orgasm: Cain. Thus, psychologically and physically speaking, Cain is not outside but inside of us, Cain is the mind, that mind that knows evil. It is also written:
Abel represents a second inner psychological element. Cain is the sensual mind and Abel is the soul (the psyche). Adam now knows good (Abel) and evil (Cain). Abel is very weak but he is a keeper of sheep, a shepherd (a keeper of the outcome of the knowledge of good and evil); this means that Abel is dedicated to Daath, the work of God, to the work of Jah-Chavah. Unfortunately, we find here the first enmity between the two seeds: Cain is the seed of the tempting serpent, because through the ejaculation of “Tzarah,” the seed, Cain, the sensual mind, knows evil, and because of that Cain kills Abel.
Cain kills Abel in the field; immediately you have to associate that to Yesod. That field is the sexual organ. Cain is the outcome of Shatan, animal desire; Cain is lust, anger, envy, greed, gluttony laziness, and all of that bestiality that people in this day and age worship. Yes, they worship Cain, the beast 666, because they also worship the tempting serpent of Eden. Why should we expect this humanity to worship the Living God (El-Shaddai) when they worship the orgasm, Shatan, the adversary, the tempting serpent? Understand, it is not that people have a serpent as an statue in their living room and that they are worshiping it with candles; no! When we state that people worship the tempting serpent, we mean that they worship the sexual orgasm, which is the outcome of the lure of tempting serpent, since their Chavah (sexual organs) loves it. Therefore if they like desire, they also like the outcome of desire, which is Cain, the sensual mind, within which are all of the defects that we have (ego). This society worships the ego, they worship sexual desire, Satan, animal desire, yet they think that they are children of God. No, they are not! The truth is this: we all are children of the tempting serpent:
We all are children of Satan (Hebrew Shatan) the serpent of desire, the Kundabuffer organ, because we were created in the sexual act through the orgasm. So may we say: “We are children of God” but sorry, we are not “Chaim” but “Chaioth.” Behold the duality from Chavah, Eve, the mother of the living “Chaim,” as Master Jesus said:
Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob represent the Monad: Chesed, Geburah, and Tiphereth (Atman, Buddhi, Manas) in Otz Chaim above Yesod. Yet, all of us are children of the devil, Shatan, animal desire, the tempting serpent, the sexual desire, desire-sensation, which creates “Chaioth” (animals). How is an animal created? An animal is created through sexual desire, because every animal in this animal kingdom procreates through orgasm, through Shatan, the serpent of desire; the animal only obeys its instinctual desire and multiplies through desire, because they are “Chaioth”. Yet, we rational animals already know the doctrine, and we keep multiplying ourselves as “Chaioth.” This present humanity ejaculates the sexual seed in order to procreate, so we are the seed of Satan, the tempting serpent. Then, Cain killed Abel; in other words, our sensual mind kills the soul. Thus, the soul has to resurrect. That is the main point: Abel is inside of all of us but dead, completely dead. Abel is dead within all of those Chaioth elements. Abel is trapped within that Chaiah (singular for animal. Chaioth is plural). Chaiah, the animal mind, is lust, and Abel is trapped inside of it; anger is another Chaiah that has trapped another part of Abel. So Abel is divided into many parts and thus trapped into many Chaioth, so Abel is dead. This is why Jesus said: “God (Jahavah Elohim) is not the God of the dead, but of the living.” The division of the dead and of the living is here in Yesod (sex), because below Yesod, we find Malkuth, the wheel of Samsara where everything is subject to death. All Chaioth die; this physical body that we have is a “Chaiah” of Chaioth and will die sooner or later, because it was created through the orgasm. To find in this physical world a physical body of a person that was not created through the orgasm is the most difficult thing that you can ever find. There may be someone who was not born in that way, but to find him/her is not easy. Thus, between Cain and Abel you find the first enmity within us; our soul is dead and Cain our sensual mind is alive. Cain, the seed of the serpent, through the orgasm of the sexual organ in the field of Yesod, keeps doing the same thing, that is, killing the soul; thus we are before the dilemma of to be or not to be: if we want to be, we must stop fornicating in order to start giving life to our own Abel and go ahead in the initiation, since, through initiation is how Abel resurrects. As the Bible in Genesis explains, according to initiation, there is another enmity between the seed of the tempting serpent and the seed of the woman that follows the path of chastity. Sequentially, we find the enmity between the seed of Sarai (Daath, the upper Eden), the wife of Abraham, and the seed of Agar (which is Malkuth, Mizrahim, Egypt, the lower Eden). Agar gives birth to Ishmael, which is the outcome of the tempting serpent, because Abraham has this child with a slave of Egypt; this means a sexual organ that is slave of the laws of Malkuth; yet Sarai as Sarah gives life to Isaac in Daath, which is the fire of God rising in the spinal medulla. Isaac represents the soul (Abel) that we have to resurrect through initiation.
So here in this first initiation of Major Mysteries, we find the second enmity in which Sarah, who is the woman that is following the laws of God, gives birth to Isaac; yet, before that, Agar, who is a slave of the laws of Malkuth, gives birth to Ishmael. So in them you find the two seeds:
Continuing on the path on initiation you find that Rebecca the wife of Isaac in Yesod, in the second initiation of Major Mysteries, creates another enmity, since from her womb she gives birth to twins, who are: Jacob and Esau, as it is written Esau was cunning, because he was the seed of the tempting serpent.
Esau and Jacob are born inside of initiates in the second initiation of Major Mysteries. Esau, the sensual mind, is a cunning hunter in (Shaddai) the field of Yesod, the lower Eden, while Jacob who symbolizes the human soul, follows the seed of the woman, Aima Elohim, represented in Rebecca in Daath, the Upper Eden.
In the lower Eden, Mary Magdalene represents the woman, the priestess wife, who in us also represents the body and the sexual organ, which has this conflict within each one of us in every initiation, when we go up trying to recuperate our heavenly Edenic state. We do this in steps; it does not happen mechanically or automatically, as many people think.
Synthesizing: First we have to recognize that we have Cain, the sensual mind in our head, and that this Cain killed our soul, who is Abel. Now, knowing that this enmity exists within us, because of the tempting serpent, we have to then start working in the initiation. Then that by following the first initiation, we realize, that there is another division within us, between Ishmael and Isaac. They are symbolic within the person who knows this knowledge and who studies this doctrine but who is psychologically dead. It is not enough to know about the doctrine, we have to practice it, in order to give chance to our own particular Sarai (the princess) who - in other words - is the woman who represents the Divine Mother, the Princess Kundalini, who gives birth to Isaac within the spinal medulla of each one of us. Thereafter, we have the duality within: the experience of the direct knowledge, the experimental knowledge within us, that is experienced by Isaac, our soul, our psyche; and the knowledge that we have that is literal, intellectual and that we study and have faith in it, that is Ishmael within us. Ishmael also represents the many people in this world who know the Bible, Kabbalah, a lot of the doctrine of God, which is good, but they are only hearers of the word, not doers of the word. Remember, God does not want anything to do with Ishmael: those who only hear the word.
This is how Elohim establishes his covenant with Isaac. Isaac is a practical fire that from Yesod (sex) must go up to the head within your spinal column in the first initiation of Major Mysteries; this is how Isaac becomes the son of Sarah (in Daath, the upper Eden). Isaac is not the son of Agar (Malkuth, Mizrahim, Egypt, the lower Eden). As you see here, there are two covenants:
It is as the apostle James stated:
Sequentially, after the division that occurs in the first initiation of Major Mysteries, comes this other division related with Jacob and Esau, which symbolizes another initiatic process within us. Here we realized that the potency in our sexual organs that wants the satisfaction of desire comes from Esau (the sensual mind), yet there is Jacob (the inner mind, the inward man) inside of us, who (as the apostle Paul stated) is that element within us who delights in the law of God after – Jacob - the inward man; this happens on Yesod, another initiatic level. Thus, when you conquer such a level, you enter into the level of Joseph, who is related with “Hod” the Astral-Emotional-Body. Likewise when you enter into this initiation, we find this enmity between the two seeds. Rachel the wife of Jacob was also a woman who had difficulties for procreation. Symbolically, as we already know, Jacob had four women, yet Rachel had difficulties for procreation; finally Rachel gave birth to Joseph and Benjamin, only two. These two children relate to other initiatic aspects that we must develop when we enter into “Hod” after passing through the different levels of this psychological development, through this enmity between the tempting serpent and the woman. The woman herself represents four steps that we have explained in other lectures. Finally we reach the level of Moses. Moses was born from a priest and priestess of the tribe of Levi. This priestess is also that woman who is conquering the tempting serpent - as it is written:
As it is written:
“And her seed (Moses); it shall bruise thy head”, in other words, the seed of the priestess of Levi, that is, Moses, shall bruise the head of the tempting serpent (that is represented in the Pharaoh), since the tempting serpent of black magicians goes down writing upon their belly of desires. The last initiatic step between this tempting serpent and the woman is written in the gospels of Jesus Christ. Here the woman appears already holy, which is when the initiate reaches the Fifth Initiation of Major Mysteries, which is when all the four bodies of sin have already become Kadosh, or as we say: “Chaioth ha Kadosh.” This occurs when the physical-vital bodies, the Astral body, the Mental body, and the Causal body are already holy, when their matter is already chaste, they then become “Chaioth ha Kadosh,” holy creatures. Thus, when all of those bodies are holy, when there is not a fallen lunar element in that soul, then the Virgin appears, who is the woman that already conquered the tempting serpent in many levels. This woman is the Virgin Mary or Miriam, who is represented in the mother of Jesus of Nazareth, who represents Joshua (the savior). Miriam gives birth to the savior, yet this is a very high level in which the woman, the Divine Mother, is already in Daath conquering the tempting serpent. This occurs inside of the initiate. It is not outside, but inside of us, because this “Ieshua” the Christ is Chokmah that unites himself with the soul (Tiphereth). Ieshua the savior is born from that woman that conquered the tempting serpent from the bottom of Malkuth to the top in Tiphereth; she is the woman who reached the level of Tiphereth. That woman is the Divine Mother Kundalini represented in Sarah, Rebecca, Rachel, the woman who is the priestess of Levi, who gives birth to Moses, the woman who is transforming herself - by means of our initiatic work - into Miriam, the Virgin Mary. Miriam represents the two wombs, the two “Mems” which procreate through chastity: physically and spiritually. So when that woman becomes the Virgin Mary, she is ready, because she is pure and an immaculate virgin within all of our human nature. Thus, she gives birth to Jesus Christ within us. Jesus Christ represents the initiate that already conquered the tempting serpent and who has to annihilate the evil consequences of the tempting serpent, which manifest in the drama of the passion of Christ. In the gospel of John, that virgin appears in the wedding of Cana:
What the woman Miriam has to do with Jesus is the annihilation of all the defects and vices that we have to disintegrate in order to reach perfection, however, such an hour has not yet come for the newlywed. First they have to raise their Abraham, thereafter they have to rise their Isaac, then Jacob, and finally Moses. In other words, what Jesus is saying is this: “Woman, they have to reach the level of Moses in order for me to act.” Nevertheless, Jesus teaches in John 2:1-4 that in order to reach such a level they have to transmute their sexual force (the water) into wine, which symbolizes the fire. This is why Jesus says: “Woman, what have I to do with thee? Mine hour is not yet come.” What is that hour? It is the hour when the savior arrives within you. Such an hour does not arrive just by lifting arm aloft and say: “I believe in Jesus as my savior” such an hour for the savior to arrive does not come as easy as that. Listen, the hour of the savior comes when Moses reaches the top of the Mountain of Initiation; the hour of Moses comes after the hour of Joseph, and the hour of Joseph comes after the hour of Jacob, and the hour of Jacob comes after the hour of Isaac, and the hour of Isaac comes after the hour of Abraham. As you see, hours are times, ages of Initiations in which we have to work with these archetypes. So the last archetype the final archetype that you have to work with the woman (the force of the woman, the genitalia) is Jesus Christ. So, after Jesus Christ, everything is done, there is no more to say, because Jesus is the highest archetype, the savior within each one of us that we have to develop. Thus before reaching the hour of Jesus, we have to purify our own particular matter and transform it into our own Virgin Matter. The Virgin Matter, Virgin Mary, Virgin MiriaM gives birth to our own particular individual Jesus Christ. Such are the hours of transformation. This is why this is as
Moses is a symbol of the body of willpower, the body of Tiphereth, whose essence began to rise from the bottom. Moses resurrected in Abraham, Moses resurrected in Isaac, Moses resurrected in Jacob, Moses resurrected in Joseph in order to finally appear as Moses, the body of willpower on top of the mountain of God. So the resurrection of Moses represents the resurrection of Abel, the soul that was killed by Cain, thus, Abel resurrected in Moses. This is why Moses controls the serpent, which is the first wonder that Moses does in front of the Pharaoh with the help of Jehovah Elohim:
This means that Moses controlled the tempting serpent of Eden. Moses conquered Rah (evil), therefore Moses is ready for the next step. And God saw that Moses was doing good. Nevertheless, there are people in this day and age that think that they are doing good, when indeed they are slaves of the tempting serpent of Eden, since they are slaves of desire, because when they perform the sexual act they reach the orgasm of the beasts (Chaioth). Yes, their Eve (sexual organ) enjoys eating the forbidden fruit, because they are a very close friend of Shatan, the tempting serpent. They do not comprehend that Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness because such a serpent was fallen; therefore as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Adam (the human soul, Abel) be lifted up. This is what Jesus taught to Nicodemus. Jesus also said:
This means that in order to become wise you have to develop the wisdom of the serpent through chastity and be harmless as doves; the dove is the symbol of the Holy Spirit, Jehovah Elohim, Binah. Thus by being wise as a serpent and meek as dove is how we become a prophet. We reach that level of the wise when that woman, which is our own particular individual, Divine Mother inside of us, conquers the serpent and is fecundated by the dove in order to give birth to Jesus. This how Jesus is born within us as a savior and starts doing the hard work, which is the annihilation of the evil consequences of the Kundabuffer organ, the tempting serpent of Eden; such is the main work of the savior. The savior wants to save the soul completely; for such a task he has to annihilate Pilate, the demon of the mind; Caiaphas, the demon of evil will; and Judas, the demon of sexual desire. All of those demons are children of Satan or Shatan, since they were born in Shaddai (Yesod, sex); as you remember the meaning of Shaddai is: field, demon, devil, fiend, goblin, gremlin, sprite, bogey, ghost, ghoul, incubus, Mephistopheles, phantom, daredevil, etc. Thus from Shaddai is born any devil, and from Shaddai is born any Angel; it depends upon how you use your sexual energy. Jesus annihilates that through the Eight Venustic Initiations. This is how the savior comes from the woman and develops within you. The savior has to eliminate the evil seed of the serpent, namely: lust, anger, pride, greed, envy, gluttony, laziness, etc., this is why he goes to the cross and descends into hell in order to annihilate that and thereafter resurrects completely clean, without the evil seed of the serpent within, meaning without defects at all. This is the whole work of the serpent and the woman, the seed of the serpent and the seed of the woman. It is a long process that begins in Genesis and ends with the resurrection and ascension of Jesus Christ. So, the whole story of initiation is written there in a cryptic symbolic manner; this is why Samael Aun Weor said:
If you learn how to write the Hebrew words and the learn the meaning of each letter, you will know that you are working with life, “Chai, Chaioth, Chaim, Chavah,” and the serpent. Such a serpent is always there within you, tempting you to do the contrary; yet if you conquer the tempting serpent, the adversary, remember that temptation is fire and the triumph over temptation is light, Lux, Lucifer. Therefore, the savior himself is Kristus-Lucifer, who works in Shaddai, the field of Yesod. The whole work of self-realization is performed there. All of the Masters from the Hebrew pantheon - beginning with Moses who wrote the book of Genesis - were Serpentine Masters. Jesus who said: “And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up.” Here we find how these two great Masters – Judaism and Christianity - are joined by the serpentine wisdom. Audience: How else is someone be born on Earth is not by the orgasm if he has to be manifested here on Earth? Instructor: There exist two ways in order to be born here on this Earth. First, as Chaioth, as beasts, who are all of us, since all of us were born on Earth through the orgasm. However, when you learn how to transmute the sexual force, you learn another way, where the individual acquires the power of releasing only one very mature zoosperm in order to engender the woman. This is a type of birth that is related with the narrative of the physical birth of Jesus Christ, who is stated was physically born from a virgin. This means that Mary, MiriaM, his physical mother – we are not talking here in symbols – was a priestess of the temple, thus, as a priestess she performed the sexual act with Joseph, who was a priest. Understand, here we are not referring to the symbolic archetypes, but we are talking about these two initiates who existed 2,000 years ago. Then, when Joseph and Mary performed the sexual act, Joseph - by the power of the Holy Ghost - released from his gonads only one zoosperm, which became the body of Jesus within the womb of Mary. This is a child of chastity, which is very rare.
All of us are children of desire, the seed of the tempting serpent. There is always an enmity there within us. Only a priest and priestess of a high level can bring a high soul through this method. Most of the souls that are being born - even from these great masters - are fallen souls, or fallen bodhisattvas. Presently, the majority of fallen bodhisattvas are born from ordinary couples through the orgasm, since these bodhisattvas fell into animal generation or generation of Chaioth through Shatan.
Audience: When you say the wilderness referring to Moses, does it also refer to Yesod? Instructor: Yes, the field of Yesod is also called a wilderness, because it is there in the wilderness where you have to face your own beasts, your own Chaioth. Since – unfortunately – we could not control our own particular Chaioth or living forces inside of our organism, we ended creating a lot of Chaioth within. Anger, greed, and all of the defects that we call ego, all of them together are Chaioth, the beasts that we have within, Behemoth; therefore we have to face them in the wilderness. In other words we have to face our own demonic creations in the wilderness; this we do through the initiation. The woman and the serpent represent an very real fight that we have to perform on the path, on the battlefield of initiation. Such a tempting serpent that people call the devil and shatan is inside of all of us. Satan feeds itself through lust, anger, pride and all the defects that we have within in abundance. Therefore all of us are children of such a tempting serpent of desire. Audience: On the Tree of Life, is Yesod a plane? Instructor: On the Tree of Life, Yesod is a symbol of many things. It symbolizes the fourth dimension, Eden, which exists in the fourth dimension. Yesod also symbolizes sex, the sexual force either in the male or female physical body. Yesod means “foundation” and is the root of the Tree of Life and the root of the Tree of Knowledge, which in Hebrew is Daath. Daath is between two triangles: it is below the triangle of Kether, Chokmah, Binah and above the triangle of Chesed, Geburah, Tiphereth. Daath means Knowledge or Gnosis. Daath is the top of the Tree of Knowledge which is related with the head, so Yesod is also the root of the tree of good and evil, which is the sexual energy. So, the Tree of Life and the Tree of the Knowledge of good and evil share their roots in Yesod. From Yesod comes Chaioth (the beasts); from Yesod comes Otz Chaim, which are the living creatures related to the superior Sephiroth that form the human beings and all of them sprout from Chavah, Eve, the sexual organ, Yesod; thus whether above or below the sexual force creates, since above and below there is Chai, life. Keep studying the Tree of Life and the tree of knowledge, so that we can better understand our origins, since the origin of this humanity is in the sexual force, the origin of all animals is in the sexual force, the origin of all plants is in the sexual force, the origin of the whole planet is in the sexual force, for even the origin of all Angels is in the sexual force, Yesod. Shaddai-El-Chai sometimes is contracted as “El-Shaddai.” Shaddai could also be Shadde, Shad, or “the Shedd,” the genie of Solomon the king.

When that serpent is lifted we then have Jehovah within. Therefore when we state that the prophet is a prophet of Jahavah - who is not a person outside in the clouds of heaven as people think - but a fire, it is “Chai” life inside of you. To lift up the serpent in the wilderness is a process in which you have to raise Shaddai-El-Chai, the life of the field of Yesod, which is God, up to the brain, in order to become a true witness of Jehovah.
You might think that when Binah, Jehovah Elohim, the Holy Spirit says: “thy seed and her seed (that is, the seed of the woman)”, He refers to the seed of the sinner Eve and the seed of the serpent. No! It is not. Since it is written: “I will put enmity between thee and the woman,” it does not say: “I will put enmity between thee and Eve.” That woman is the woman who fears Jahavah, the woman who obeys Jahavah, the woman who obeys the Lord (Adonai in Malkuth), the woman who follows the path; in other words, it is the sexual organ that is dedicated to chastity. So, I will put enmity between thee (the fallen serpent) and the chaste woman (the priestess in Malkuth). It is not an enmity between the tempting serpent and the sinner Eve, as many people think, that presently the tempting serpent is now in enmity with the sinner Eve. Simple observation shows that there is not an enmity between the tempting serpent and the sinner Eve, because Shatan, the serpent of desire and the sexual organs are very close friends, are they not? The tempting serpent is always offering the forbidden fruit of desire to the sinner Eve, the sexual organs, and the sinner Eve, the sexual organs, always falls into temptation and fornicates (reaches the orgasm). As it is written in Genesis:
So let us investigate: what is this serpent that Moses lifted up in the wilderness, which Jesus mentioned and stated that the Son of Man should be lifted up in the same manner?

sociated with what Jesus said to Nicodemus:
Most of the billions of people that are born on the Earth - even within the Gnostic couples - are the outcome of the tempting serpent. It is exceedingly rare to find a couple that has a child as an outcome of chastity.
