Solutio Perfecta

The solutio perfecta (“perfect solution”) for the problem of suffering is found in the mysteries of sexual transmutation, which as depicted here in this alchemical painting, occurs between the two trees of Eden (Kabbalah and Alchemy), in a sacred crucible (the Holy Grail), from which is born the golden child, or soul.

Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.

Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born?

Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. - John 3:3-6

The first truly new birth in this process is related to the Third Initiation of Fire (note the number III at top right), which is the Astral Body: the child in the throat of the vessel above.
