Meditation for Men and Women

Friday, June 01 2012, 03:40 PM
I was reading an article, and the writer stated that men and women meditate differently. Is this true? I understand that males are active and females are passive(in the spiritual), yet we are the same. We are all striving for the same goal, the silence of the mind.

His name is Chris High, Halfpasthuman is his website, I normally don't listen to him, my spouse does, He wanted me to listen to this one podcast, and this is what was said. I didn't agree with the statement, I do agree with yours.

Meditation is the universal science of union with God. Since men and women possess the seed of consciousness, known as Essence or Buddhata (the "seed" or "potential of the Buddha) both can achieve spiritual realization.

As to whether they meditate differently, we understand that the principles of the consciousness are eternal and relate with the eternal divine, Iod-Chavah or Father-Mother. Physical sex does not determine the stages, principles and steps of meditation, since both men and women need to follow the same steps for the psychological and spiritual work of Gnosis.

There have been many great female Masters throughout antiquity and in the modern world, such as Joan of Arc, Helena Petrovna Blavatsky, etc. The principles of the consciousness apply to both sexes, since men and women have soul. As to whether there are significant differences in how the sexes meditate, that does not sound plausible or correct given the literature of the great Initiates. What article or author are you referring to?
