Elimination on the Ego

0

Hello,

I've been doing gnosis for a while now, but i've had this constant problem when working on the elimination of certain desires, when working on them it feel's as if they are getting stronger from me trying to comprehend it.

They can act so strong as to totally demoralize me and confuse me as to take me week's to month's to find some balance again.

I know this is a usual thing when working with the ego, but these can seem somewhat in excess.

Just wondering how you guy's reckons a good approach to dealing with these defects, maybe there too big to play around with at the moment and should concentrate on the smaller ones? But i feel as if this needs to be worked on but i cant grasp much about these defects no matter how much work i put into it seems so subtle.

How have you guys approached these type of defects? Make's me feel abit afraid as if im feeding them.

Thanks Leigh

If working on certain egos is starting to make you feel morbid and distraught, try shifting your focus for a while. Go for a walk, listen to good music, turn your attention to a loved one, etc. Anything to brighten your awareness. Comprehension is a dynamic, fluid, and perhaps most importantly, a gradual process. This is why we need to be patient and consistent from day-to-day.

It's important not to take the work on the ego so seriously to the point where we are harming ourselves and developing a sense of morbidity.

Do not worry; cultivate the habit of being happy. -Samael Aun Weor

Working on the ego can be very difficult and even painful at times, however we need to stay balanced by learning how to be joyful and happy.
