This lecture is a continuation of “The Prayer of the Lord,” which helps to understand more deeply who “the Father” is; it helps to comprehend our real Being — in other words, our real self, who is, “our Father who art in heaven.”

In Gnosis, we understand that the Father is Elohim: a multiple, perfect unity. He is called “the Army of Children.” The Bible calls this multiple, perfect unity “Elohim,” who, in turn, calls all of his parts “my people.” They are called “the children of Israel,” and relate to the different archetypes that we have within.

Solomon the king gave a very powerful invocation that addresses all of these archetypes or parts of our inner Being, our inner Father who is in heaven. In synthesis, this powerful invocation summons all of the parts of our inner Being, our inner Father who is in heaven about whom we already explained in the lecture, “The Prayer of the Lord.”

In Kabbalah, in Hebrew language Ha-Schamayim השמים means “the heavens,” yet it also means “the names.”

The Hebrew word Elohim, which is plural, means “gods and goddesses,” yet this word has been mistakenly translated as “God.”

“In the beginning Elohim created “The Names [Archetypes in the nine sephiroth]” and the earth [the tenth, Malkuth]. And [ספירה Sephirah] the earth [the Cosmic Mother] was formless and void.” – Genesis 1: 1, 2

The Invocation of Solomon embraces all of those archetypes in order to invoke them and to use their forces for any spiritual purpose. These archetypes are within us. They form our true self, our inner Being. In these times in which we are in trouble, we have to memorize this invocation in order for our inner Being to assist us in the difficult aspects of our life. It is a very long invocation; this is why Master Jesus of Nazareth gave the “Pater Noster” that synthesizes all of this.

We are going to explain the Invocation of Solomon in order for you to understand what the invocation embraces when we are reciting it.

King Solomon

We are going to explain the Invocation of Solomon in order for you to understand what the invocation embraces when we are reciting it.

The Invocation of Solomon begins as follows:

“Powers of the kingdom be ye under my left foot and in my right hand...”

Remember that at the very end of the Prayer of the Lord we say:

“For thine is the kingdom, the power and the glory forever and everlastingly, Amen.”

Kingdom and power and all the subsequent words embrace the whole Tree of Life.

Before entering into this explanation, let us read what Samael Aun Weor wrote in his book “The Manual of Practical Magic.”

“The wise Solomon left us a marvelous invocation that we can use to ask for help from the superior powers. With this invocation we receive help for our individual needs.” – Samael Aun Weor

We placed the graphic of Tutankhamun related to the Invocation of Solomon, because in Kabbalah and Alchemy, we study the three wise men or the three kings or Malachim of Alchemy.

Now when Yeshua [the savior] was born in [Daath] Bethlehem of Judea in the days of Herod the king [of the intellect], behold, there came wise men from the east [Tiphereth] to Jerusalem [Malkuth]. – Matthew 2: 1

Tutankhamon

In Christianity, they are named Melchior, Gaspar, and Belshazzar, which in the Old Testament are symbolized by the three kings of Israel, namely, Saul, David, and Solomon, the latter was famous because in his kingdom there was gold in abundance.

The three kings are Malachim, who symbolize an alchemical process that our soul, Tiphereth, performs in the Kingdom (Malkuth). In the beginning, Tiphereth, the soul, is Saul or שאול Sheol, which translated into English means “hell,” yet in the alchemical crucible it turns into David which symbolizes the soul purified in the crucible or alchemical דוד David, “boiler,” and finally the soul reaches the level of Solomon, which symbolizes the שלמה Shĕlomoh “complete integration” of all the internal archetypes; here, in the crucible, the soul is transformed into pure gold.

Solomon was not the first to achieve this perfection or integration. This is why we placed the image of Tutankhamun from the kingdom of Egypt, since King Tutankhamun, whose name means “Living Image of Amen” relates to Mizrahim, Malkuth, Kingdom. As you see, the whole of him was made of pure gold because Tutankhamun indeed reached the same level or integration, שלמה Shĕlomoh, that Solomon the king reached; thus, Tutankhamun is indeed a great master; his soul is pure gold.

So as we explained, the invocation of Solomon is really a long invocation. Let us read it in order to understand it.

Powers of the kingdom be ye under my left foot and in my right hand.

Glory and eternity take me by the two shoulders and direct me in the paths of victory.

Mercy and Justice be Ye the equilibrium and Splendor of my life.

Intelligence and Wisdom, crown me.

Spirits of Malkuth lead be betwixt the two pillars upon which rest the whole edifice of the temple.

Angels of Netzach and Ho,d establish me upon the cubic stone of Yesod.

Oh Gedulael! O Geburael! O Tiphereth!

Binael, be thou my love.

Ruach Chokmael, be thou my light.

Be thou that which thou art and thou shatl be O Ketheriel!

Ishim, assist me in the name of Shaddai!

Cherubim, be my strength in the name of Adonai!

Beni- Elohim, be my brethren in the name of the Son, and by the powers of Sabbaoth!

Elohim, do battle for me in the name of Tetragrammaton!

Malachim, protect me in the name of Iod Hei Vav Hei!

Seraphim, cleanse my love in the name of Eloah!

Chasmalim, enlighten me with the splendors of Elohim and Shechinah!

Aralim, act!

Ophanim, revolve and shine.

Chaioth ha Kadosh, cry, speak, roar, bellow!

Kadosh Kadosh Kadosh.

Shaddai, Adonai, Iod-Havah,

Eheieh, Asher Eheieh!

Hallelujah, Hallelujah, Hallelujah

Amen, Amen, Amen.

First, visualize the Tree of Life, which as you see is divided into four worlds: Atziluth which is the world of archetypes where we find all of the parts of our being in a state of potentiality.

four-worlds

Then, immediately after the world of Atziluth, we have the world of Briah which means creation; thereafter, the world of formation which is Yetzirah and finally the world of action and matter, the physical world which is called Assiah. These four worlds relate to our own spiritual-psychological constitution because everything that we find in these four worlds, we have internally. But remember, we have them in potentiality. It is our duty to develop them completely, in order to become Adam; which is an androgynous being, Male/Female, made into the image of Elohim.

In order to comprehend the subsequent explanations, visualize the four worlds of Kabbalah. They are related with the holy name of God, which in Hebrew is spelled יהיה Iod-Hei-Vav-Hei. In English and in many bibles they translate this as Jehovah. We in Kabbalah pronounce it Iod-Havah; this is how we pronounce the holy name of God, יהיה Iod-Havah.

Kabbalah and Numbers

Kabbalah is always associated with numbers. The word sephiroth ספירות means “counting, numbering, numeration, enumeration, and spheres.” The Tree of Life is also called the ten sephiroth or ten spheres: you can “count, ספר sepher” them. In Hebrew, in Kabbalah, sepher ספר also means “book.” So, sepher ספר means “to count” and “book,” therefore the word sepher ספר relates to numbers and letters. Thus, each letter of the Hebrew alphabet relates to a certain number. This is call numerology, גימטריה gematria, “geometry.”

Behold, the Kabbalistic synthesis of the four worlds of the Tree of Life and יהיה Iod-Hei-Vav-Hei, the holy name of God.

four-worlds-tetra

The letter Iod is related to the world of Atziluth (archetypes) and to the number ten. Iod is the tenth letter of the Hebrew alphabet.

The letters Iod and Hei are related to the world of Briah (creation); the number five relates to Hei, because the letter Hei is the fifth letter of the Hebrew alphabet. So that is why when we talk about the world of Briah we say it is the world of Iod and Hei, which in English is translated as Jah. In Hebrew, Jah is written with the two letters Iod and Hei. The addition of these two letters make 15. So the second world, the world of Briah relates to Iod-Hei and to the number 15 of the sacred name of God “Jah.”

The two letters Iod and Hei form the word Jah, which is written at the very end of הללויה Hallelujah. Hallelu הללו means “praise” and Jah יה is God as male/female. Hallelujah. When we say הללויה Hallelujah, we are praising God as male/female. God is not masculine as many people misunderstand.

The third world, Yetzirah, “formation,” is related with the letters יהו Iod-Hei-Vav. The letter Vav has the value of six; the letter Vav is the sixth letter of the Hebrew alphabet. So, the world of Yetzirah has the value of 21 (10+5+6). The three letters Iod-Hei-Vav form the word Jew or Yew. Iod-Hei-Vav also relate to the profoundly sacred name IAO.

“Yew, the profoundly sacred name, is related with the Light and clairvoyance. It is written that Jesus, the great Kabir, chanted a song of praise in the Great Name. It is written that He pronounced the profoundly sacred name Yew and He blew in their eyes saying, “Ye are now clairvoyant.” Unquestionably, Yew is a mantric word or magic key related with clairvoyance. The word Yew appears in the Gnostic Mass.” – Pistis Sophia Unveiled

So this is how in numerology we associate the Holy Name of God with the universe.

Kabbalah and the Physical Body

Now, when we reach the fourth world, the world of Assiah (action), which is the physical world, the Earth, it is related to the four letters יהיה Iod-Hei-Vav-Hei. This is the famous Tetragrammaton, which in Greek means “four lettered name.” So, by adding the value of the four letters (10+5+6+5). we have 26, which (2+6) add up to 8. The letter Chet is the eighth letter of the Hebrew alphabet. Chet symbolizes life. חי Chai, life, is spelled with Chet 8 and Iod 10, which add up to 18. The eighteenth letter of the Hebrew alphabet is צ Tzadi. The word Tzadik צדיק means “righteous.” 1 + 8 = 9, the sephirah Yesod, sex.

“And Tzadik צדיק is the Foundation יסוד [Yesod] of the universe.” - Proverbs 10: 25

Now, by making an addition of all the numbers of the four worlds, namely, 10 + 15 + 21 + 26, we have 72. This is why in Kabbalah we say that there are 72 ways of pronouncing the name of God. These 72 names of God are what is called Ha-Schamayim השמים or Ha-Shemim השמים, “the Names,” in plural, because Ha-Shem means “The Name”, but Ha-Shemim is “The Names” which usually is translated as Ha-Schamayim, השמים “heavens.” Behold, all of the 72 names are synthesized in the number nine: 7+2 = 9.

So, the number nine hides precisely the mystery of how we develop all of these names within, which relate to all our archetypes, to the children of Israel, to what God calls “my people,” the archetypical army that we have within. That development is what is call “the self-realization of the Being.”

As we see, the number nine is related with the ninth sephirah, which is called Yesod, when we count from the top downwards. The ten is the physical world, the sephirah Malkuth, which means the “kingdom.” So, in the human being the number nine, Yesod יסוד, is related to the sexual organs. Kether is situated on the top of the head and is called “the crown.” Chokmah is situated to the right side of the brain, and Binah to the left. We are looking at the Tree of Life on the back of the human being, not on the front, because the Tree of Life is the spinal column. So then Chesed is the right shoulder, Geburah is he left and Tiphereth is the heart. Then we have Netzach the right leg, Hod the left, Yesod יסוד the sexual organs and Malkuth the feet; these are the sephiroth in relationship to the physical body.

So, by studying the relationship of the Holy Name of God יהוה “Iod-Havah” with the four worlds of the Tree of Life, we become aware that the fourth world, Assiah (the Earth, the physical body, Malkuth, the kingdom) receives all of the forces from the three spaces above it, namely, Atziluth, Briah and Yetzirah, which we call Ha-Schamayim השמים “the heavens,” and Ha-Shemim השמים “the names.”

Comprehend that our physicality “Assiah” deposits the light-essence of these forces in the sexual organs. This is why it is written in Proverbs 10: 25 “the Tzadik (righteous) is the foundation of the universe,” given that foundation is יסוד Yesod, which, in our physicality, is located in our genitalia. In the Tree of Life, Yesod is located immediately above Malkuth.

So, this is the reason why all the religions of the kingdom (Malkuth), make emphasis in the sexual energy. If you study all religions, you will find that the devotees always transmute, sublimate, their sexual force through different methods. Transmutation of the sexual energy is precisely the meaning of chastity.

Yesod, the sexual force, is the origin of our physical body and the universe. To synthesize, all of us came from the womb, the uterus, the Yesod, of a woman, our mother. And of course that human seed, which is called spermatozoid, was placed in her sexual organ, into her womb by means of the sexual organ of a man, our father. So, physically speaking, our physical body comes from sex, Yesod, the foundation of the universe.

In Kabbalah, the words “kingdom” and “power” correspond to the Sephiroth Malkuth and Geburah. So when at the end of the Prayer of the Lord we say “For thine is the kingdom and the power,” what we are saying is that from our physicality, Malkuth, we are sublimating Geburah, which is God’s sexual power, towards our head or heaven above, in the world of Atziluth, which is the world of God that corresponds to our head.

“Thine is the kingdom…” In Kabbalah, Malkuth means “kingdom.” So when we say “for thine is the kingdom…” we are also saying, “for my physicality is yours,” that is, “I am using all the energies that I have in my physical body for you, my inner God, my Father.” Remember that the Father is male/female. If we call God “my parent” it would be better, because we always associate father with the masculine gender, but the reality is that the Father who is in heaven is androgynous: male/female.

“And call no man your father upon the earth: for one is your Father, which is in heaven.” – Matthew 23:9

In Kabbalah, Malkuth is feminine, receptive. Malkuth receives from above or below. Our physical body (Malkuth) receives from nature, from the superior worlds, whether our body is masculine or feminine. So when we say “thine is the kingdom” what we are saying is that our Malkuth, our receptive femaleness, which is at the very bottom of the Tree of Life, is his kingdom. We are offering our receptive, feminine constitution, which is our physicality, to God. In other words, “Thine is the kingdom and the power” specifically means that if we are practically performing the Prayer of the Lord, then we have to know that physically, sexually, we have to behave uprightly, otherwise, how are we going to say “Thine is the kingdom and the power” if we are not taking care of our physicality and sexuality for God? Our physicality and sexuality are not for the neighbor or friends or physical parents, not even for ourselves, but for God. This is our very personal, very individual, psychological sexual work.

“And thou shall love יהיה Iod-Havah thy Elohim [in Tiphereth] with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and [in Yesod] with all thy power.” – Deuteronomy 6: 5

So, the sephirah Geburah is “the power,” hence, we have to understand that Geburah relates to the sexual creative potency that descends from Geburah into the sephirah Tiphereth (the heart) and thereafter it descends through the blood stream directly into the sephirah Yesod, our genitalia, which is our power.

Understand that when we say, “thine is the kingdom and the power,” that word “and” in Hebrew is va, which is written with one letter, the letter vav. The letter vav symbolizes the sephirah Tiphereth, and Tiphereth symbolizes the human soul. The human soul is inside the sephirah Malkuth, the kingdom, the physical body; the soul is the consciousness that is reading this lecture. So, our human soul is the one that is reciting the Prayer of the Lord, the Invocation of Solomon, or any other prayer. Thus, as we are reciting the Invocation, we are performing inside the body what the prayer or the invocation requests. The body is just a vehicle, thus, when we say “thine is the kingdom,” we are saying, “my physical body, my temple is thine.” “And the power,” my sexual power in the sephirah Yesod that descends from the sephirah Geburah into Tiphereth is also thine. This implies that we have to know the secret of sexuality.

In the book of Revelation, the power of the sephirah Geburah is called “locusts” that are released from the bottomless pit, which is the sephirah Yesod, sex, the well where we have the foundation of all the forces of the universe.

“And the fifth angel [Geburah-El, who is Samael, the power of God] sounded, and I saw a star [the creative light-power of Geburah] fall from [the] heaven [of Briah] unto the earth [Malkuth]: and to him [in Tiphereth] was given [Daath-Gnosis] the key of the bottomless pit [in Yesod]. And [by means of sexual alchemy] he opened the bottomless pit [Yesod]; and there arose a [passional] smoke out of the [sexual] pit, as the [scorching] smoke of a great [alchemical] furnace; and the sun [the inner-Christ] and the air [the inner Spirit] were darkened by reason of the [passional] smoke of the [sexual] pit. And there came out of the [passional] smoke locusts [lustful egos] upon the earth [physicality]: and [according to Karmasaya and Kamaduro] unto them was given power, as the scorpions of the earth have [poisoning sexual] power. And it was commanded them [according to Karmasaya and Kamaduro] that they should not hurt the grass [the vital body that transforms the solar light] on the earth, neither any green thing [endocrine gland], neither any tree [nervous system]; but only [in] those [fornicator] men which have not the seal [better said, which have not sublimate the power] of God in their foreheads. And to them [these lustful egos] it was given that they should not kill them, but that they should be tormented five months [according to karma, cause and effect]: and their torment [karma] was as the torment of [the poison of] a scorpion, when he strikes [with AIDS] a [sodomite] man.

“And in those days [these days] shall [some remorseful] men seek [psychological] death [for their lustful egos], and [because of Karmasaya and Kamaduro] shall not find it; and shall desire to [psychologically] die [through many whimsical methods], and [psychological] death shall flee from them.

“And the shapes of the locusts [lustful egos] were like unto [the sexual drive of] horses prepared unto battle; and on their heads were [awkward opinions to justify their depravity] as it were crowns [Christic solar doctrines] like gold, and their [mental bestial] faces were as the faces of men. And they had hair [worthless thoughts] as the [vain, hypocritical] hair of women, and their teeth [burning lustful jargon] were as the teeth of [the mating heat of] lions.

“And they had breastplates [premeditated justifications], as it were breastplates of iron [goodwill]; and the sound of their wings [or whimsical scientific theories] was as the sound of chariots [corporations] of many horses [better said, jackasses] running to battle. And they had tails [broadcasting weapons of mass destruction] like unto scorpions, and there were stings [depraved premeditated intentions] in their tails: and their power was to hurt men five months [with pornography and all kind of depravities].

“And [according to Karmasaya and Kamaduro] they [the egotistical doomed fornicators] had a king over them, which is [Geburah-el, the inverted light and power of] the angel of [Yesod] the bottomless pit [Klipoth-Hell], whose name in the Hebrew tongue is Abaddon* [doom]. But [his contrast; his contrary] in the Greek tongue [that is, in Gnostic language; in those who deny themselves and sublimate their libido; or in those who as Ioannes the baptizer (Mark 1: 6) are clothed with camel's hair and with a girdle of a skin about their loins; and they [by means of sexual alchemy] eat [better said, transmute] locusts (sexual fire) and wild honey (sexual fluids)] his name is Apollyon [Apollo, the Christic light in the sephirah Tiphereth that nourishes the soul by means of the creative powers of Yesod, the ninth sphere of the earth, Malkuth, the kingdom....” – Revelation 9: 1-11

*“The secret of the abyss [the bottomless pit] is one of the seven great unutterable secrets... Abaddon is the angel of the abyss. He wears a black tunic and a red cap, like those worn by the Drukpas from oriental Tibet and from the regions of Sikkim and Bhutan, also as worn by the black magicians from the altar of Mathra (pronounced “Mazra” by the Rosicrucian school A.M.O.R.C. from California)." – Samael Aun Weor

And this is why we, Gnostics, say”for thine is the kingdom AND the power” because through “and” (the letter “Vav,” our spinal medulla) we alchemically unite the power of the creative force of the sephirah Yesod (sex) to Nous (the light force of the sephirah Tiphereth, the soul). We offer our heart and sex to God, whose throne is our central nervous system.

This is the meaning of “thou shall love [the sephirah Binah] יהיה Iod-Havah thy Elohim with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy power.” When we are in love, we feel the sephirah Binah (God, love) in our heart, and likewise when we fulfill that love in the sexual act. So when we perform the sexual act, we have to put our heart, the sephirah Tiphereth, in it; in other words, we must hook our God’s creative sexual power to Tiphereth, the soul, and Tiphereth to the sephirah Daath. Because in Kabbalah the letter Vav, which means “and” is a hook that unites the sephiroth Yesod and Tiphereth to Elohim in the sephirah Daath.

“Hebrew Kabbalists and Rabbis know very well that the mantra of the Causal World [Tiphereth] was, is, and shall always be Eloah Va Daath. Meditating on such words is the same as knocking at the marvelous doors of the great temple.” – Samael Aun Weor

This is why the letter Vav is at the beginning of many verses in Genesis, because obviously when a man and a woman are in the sexual alchemical act, they are hooked to Eloah in the sephirah Yesod, which is the feminine aspect of their Elohim in the sephirah Daath. Likewise, their hearts, souls in the sephirah Tiphereth, have to be hooked to their respective sexual power in the sephirah Yesod, in order for “and” to be fulfilled, because the word “and” connects, joins, one thing to another; so in Kabbalah, in Alchemy “And” (Vav) joins the sephiroth Tiphereth and Yesod to Daath.

Thereafter, we say “and the glory.” The “glory” is the sephirah Hod, which is the Astral Light that shines in the atmosphere of the planet Earth, which we call solar light. We also have that Light within. Thus, when we say “and the glory” it means that the solar light (the Prana, the Christic energy) which I have in my sex and solar plexus and in all my physicality, will shine in my central nervous system (symbolized by “and,” the letter Vav) for God.

At the end we say “forever,” which is Netzach. The word Netzach has many meanings, it means “eternity, forever, mind/forehead.” So, when we say “forever” we indicate Netzach, our mind.

When we say “and everlastingly,” we go up through the central nervous system into the world of the Spirit, which is the sephirah Chesed. We go up “everlastingly” because Chesed is “mercy.” He is everlasting mercy. The mercy of God is forever lasting.

Then we say “Amen, Amen, Amen,” which are the sephiroth Kether, Chokmah, Binah. Usually in all the Kabbalistic prayers, we say Amen three times, because these Amens refer to the three higher sephiroth, namely, Father, Son and Holy Spirit; Kether, Chokmah and Binah; Aum, Aum, Aum, Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva. The three Amens have many names in different religions. So, Amen is what we say at the end of any prayer,

So, when we recite the entire Prayer of the Lord, and when we say: “For thine is the kingdom, the power, and the glory, forever and everlastingly, Amen,” we are encircling the seven lower Sephiroth of the Tree of Life, and then we say Amen three times for the top three. This means that in this supplication, we are giving all of what we are to God up there in the first triangle of the Tree of Life. Indeed in theory this is very beautiful, but in practice is very difficult to fulfill, since this has to be performed in different steps. This is precisely the point.

All the power that we receive from above is stored in the sephirah Yesod as sexual energy. Thus, when we know how to channel that energy in different levels, we are developing the different archetypes that we have within. Only the sexual energy can develop the archetypes. There is no other energy in the world that can develop the archetypes within us. The fact is that physically speaking we were sperms, but thanks to our mother’s sexual energy the fetus developed in her womb for nine months, thus, our physical body developed within her womb. As below, so above, and as above, so below; if we want to develop all of our archetypes that we have in potentiality in our spirit, we have to utilize the same energy, but the procedure is different, and we have to learn it.

The former elucidation of the Pater Noster will help to understand the entire Invocation of Solomon, which we are going to explain little by little. You can find how to pronounce it on the website.

The first supplication is:

“Powers of the kingdom, be ye under my left foot and in my right hand.”

The powers of the kingdom are the sexual powers. So when we are asking them to be “under our left foot and in our right hand,” we are addressing all of those beings that know the mystery of alchemy and that can assist us. Those powers are the Elohim that are in the three kabbalistic spaces, which relate to the creative energy of the stars that descend by the law of gravity into the very center of the Earth, Assiah. As the Earth collects it, we also collect it, in the ninth sphere, the very center of our philosophical earth, which is our physicality. Such creative power of the Elohim is called the Holy Spirit. So the stellar energy is stabilized in ninth sphere, in the very center of the Earth, and that is the energy that our own particular spirit, which is called Chesed, utilizes in order to make light for our own enlightenment through Sushumna, the central column of the Tree of Life. That is why we say “powers of the kingdom be ye under my left foot and in my right hand,” because Malkuth, namely, our body, nourishes itself alchemically from all of that energy that it collects through the left, central, and right columns of the Tree of Life. The left column in our body is related to what in Sanskrit we call the energy of the left cord, Ida / Eve.

The energy of Ida rises from the ninth sphere, Yesod; it penetrates the earth, Malkuth through the left side of the Tree of Life. So, when we say “under my left foot,” it means that within our physical body, Malkuth (kingdom), we, as a king or a queen, are controlling the genitalias sexual fluids. If we say “the energy of the earth is under my left foot,” what we are stating is that we control the sexual energetic fluid that is under my left foot.

“And in my right hand” relates to the right column of the Tree of Life. In our body it is related to what in Sanskrit we call the energy of the right cord, Pingala, Adam. The energy of the right column is the cerebrospinal fluid controlled by the sephirah Chesed, which means “mercy”; it is also called Gedulah, which is “greatness or goodness.” Gedulah is what Moses in the book of Genesis calls the Ruach Elohim, or the Spirit of God that was moving upon the face of the waters. So when we say “in my right hand” it means that we are concentrated on our Innermost, our inner Being, our inner God, who is handling the sexual fluidic power of the Earth in my body. So we have to be concentrated and know what we mean when we say “powers of the kingdom, be ye under my left foot and in my right hand.”

The next supplication states:

“Glory and Eternity take me by the two shoulders and direct me in the paths of victory.”

Glory and eternity are the sephiroth Hod and Netzach, which are related to the kidneys, the organs of water and fire, the abode of yin and yang. The kidneys’ essence nourishes the brain. The sephiroth Hod and Netzach relate also to the channels Ida and Pingala, the two cords that intertwine in the spinal column making the caduceus of mercury. The caduceus of mercury relates to yin and yang, the two polarities of the sexual energy that arise from the sexual fluids, of the ovaries in the woman and the testicles in the man, towards the brain.

“Take me by the two shoulders” means, take me by Daath, the mysterious Sephirah of knowledge which is situated in the throat between the shoulders. Daath, the knowledge of good and evil, is hidden in Yesod situated in the genitalia between the sephiroth Hod and Netzach, the two kidneys. Ida and Pingala from Yesod expand the sephiroth Hod and Netzach energies into the two shoulders that represent the sephiroth Chesed and Geburah, the mercy and justice of heavenly knowledge that act according to the left and right sides of the scale, the kidneys.

“I am he who searches the kidneys and hearts: and I will give unto every one of you according to your deeds.” – Revelation 2: 23

On top of the caduceus of mercury – symbol of the powers of the mind - or on top of the two serpents, yin and yang of the caduceus, we find a big sphere which symbolizes our skull, where we have our brain, our mind, the sephirah Netzach. So this is why it says: “And direct me in the paths of victory.” Victory is also Netzach, the Solar Mind nourished by Daath (knowledge) and by the sexual fluids of Yesod. We have to kabbalistically and alchemically visualize our psychosomatic nature, because “Glory and eternity, take me by the two shoulders and direct me on the paths of victory,” is an alchemical request in order to achieve total success on our alchemical work. This is a very alchemical invocation.

In the next supplication we address our inner Monad, namely, our Spirit (Chesed: mercy), Spiritual Soul (Geburah: justice), and Human Soul (Tiphereth: splendor).

“Mercy and justice, be ye the equilibrium and splendor of my life.”

The equilibrium of the two polarities, the left and right columns, mercy and justice, must be established in Tiphereth, the middle of the central column of the Tree of Life, which is our spinal column. Tiphereth, the splendor of our life, is precisely in our heart.

In order for mercy and justice to become equilibrated with the solar splendors of life in the soul, in Tiphereth that contains the Christic knowledge of the heart, it is necessary to liberate the Nephesh Chaiah, “life-soul,” from the creative waters of Yesod (sex). Life in Hebrew is chaiah. So, as we see, everything that we are saying is what we are alchemically doing. Thus, if you do not know alchemy, you have then to learn it, because this powerful invocation is almighty if you are doing the alchemical work that the invocation is demanding from you. Thus, you can utter the next supplication that states:

“Intelligence and wisdom, crown me.”

“Intelligence and wisdom” addresses the sephiroth Binah and Chokmah, the left and the right hemispheres of the brain. “Crown me” addresses the sephirah Kether, which means “crown,” which is located on the top of our head. The kingdom of the sephirah Binah is in the genitalia, and the kingdom of the sephirah Chokmah is in the heart, whereas the kingdom of the sephirah Kether is in the brain. Therefore, when we say “Intelligence and wisdom, crown me,” we have to sublimate the creative energies of the Holy Spirit along with the volitional energies of the Son, towards the crown on top of our head, the kingdom of the Father.

We have to understand in order to imagine what we are pronouncing, because there are many people who know this invocation by memory; nevertheless, to know it by memory is easy. The intellect is merely a faculty that allows us to memorize many things, but comprehension and visualization are faculties of the consciousness bonded by the heart. Thus, if you are performing the bond of intelligence and wisdom, the invocation has more power, because there are different levels of perfection or development, and it depends on how much energy you have in the different areas of your body, namely, your brain, your heart, your lungs, your kidneys and your sex, in order for this invocation to work. Reciting it like many people in many catholic sects recite the Pater Noster by memory while thinking that they have to go to the mall or the movies or that they have to eat something later, etc, - if you are distracted like that, the prayer doesn't work. We have to meditate on what we are praying, reciting, pronouncing, in order for it to have results in our Soul. This is why Master Samael Aun Weor wrote:

sephira

“The ten known Sephiroth come from ספירה Sephirah, the Divine Mother, who resides in the heart temple. The mantra of the Divine Mother is IO, which is the 10 emanations of Prakriti, in other words, the 10 (ten) ספירות sephiroth.” - Samael Aun Weor

The word ספירה sephirah is related to ספי sophi, the “threshold” of the universe, which is the end סוף soph, the סוף אין Ain Soph. The רה rah of ספירה sephirah is related to the solar light. רה is also related to the note Re, the sound and energy emanated from the note Do, the Unmanifested Divine Cosmic Mother ספירה Sephirah, who is also the ספי sophi, doorway or entrance into our heart temple, because in the temple of our heart we have רה Rah, the solar energy of the Logos, the Son of our Divine Mother.

The word sephiroth is plural, and sephirah is singular. All these ten sephiroth emanated from ספירה sephirah, the sphere, the womb of the Cosmic Mother. The Cosmic Mother has many symbols in different religions. She is above the sephirah Kether. She is a very high celestial sephirah or sphere. Thus, we symbolize her with a zero, a circle, a cosmic ספירה sephirah like a cosmic womb, and from such a womb come out macrocosmic worlds, spheres ספירות sephiroth. Thus, all these macrocosmic units, as well as we microcosmic unities, have the ten sephiroth in our constitution.

As you can see, we have to continue reciting the invocation and start again from the very bottom of the Tree of Life, beginning with Malkuth. Thus, we say:

kabbalah-the-tree-of-life

“Spirits of Malkuth, lead me betwixt the two pillars, upon which rests the whole edifice of the temple.”

The spirit of Malkuth is what in Kabbalah is called the Shechinah, who is our own particular Divine Mother, which we have within. Sephirah is the Cosmic Mother, but Shechinah is our own particular, individual mother. Remember one of the ten commandments: “Honor your mother and father.” That commandment does not relate to the physical father and mother, although we have to respect them. That commandment relates to our inner Abba and Aima, Jah, Father and Mother, within. Thus, Shechinah is our own particular Divine Mother, which we have within. We have to discover and visualize her. She is our individual spirit in Malkuth, our philosophical earth; yet, the feminine spirit of Malkuth, the planet Earth, is Mother Earth. In this day and age, many groups are worshipping Mother Earth; the Divine Mother Earth is indeed a being that exists in the fourth dimension. But we have to gain the right and the bliss of seeing her in a rapture or Samadhi. The Divine Mother Shechinah is the spirit of our philosophical earth, our physicality. The Invocation of Solomon says “spirits” because we are addressing the Shechinah of men and women, and the Elementals Gods of Mother Nature.

In the same way that husband and wife are guided by their particular Divine Mother Shechinah, the Elemental Gods are also guides of the Divine Mother Nature; husband and wife’s Shechinah are the spirits of Malkuth that work together in their alchemical sexual work. This is why we say “spirits of Malkuth,” because in the sexual act the man and woman’s Shechinah (the spirits of their bodies, their two Malkuth) are united. “Lead me betwixt the two pillars.” The Shechinah leads her son, the soul, through the central pillar, our spinal column, which is between the right and left pillars, and also between man and woman. Sushumna is where our Divine Mother rises as the energy that we call Kundalini, the serpent of bronze. So when we say “Spirits of Malkuth lead me betwixt the two pillars,” we visualize our Divine Mother Shechinah within, and the Elemental Gods or Spirits of Mother Nature; and when we say “upon which rests the whole edifice of the temple,” we have to understand that the two pillars of the temple rest upon Yesod, the sexual force of the man and the woman; between them is sex, the secret of the two pillars of masonry. We have to study Jachin and Boaz, because life cannot exist without these two pillars.

“Three Sephiroth of form are found in the Pillar of Severity (Binah, Geburah and Hod).

“Three Sephiroth of energy are found in the Pillar of Mercy (Chokmah, Chesed and Netzach).

“The Pillar of Equilibrium is between these two pillars, where all of the distinct levels of consciousness are found (Kether, Tiphereth, Yesod, and Malkuth).” - Samael Aun Weor, Tarot and Kabbalah

The consciousness is the soul (Tiphereth in the heart) which from Yesod (sex in Malkuth, our physicality) has to ascend towards Kether, the crown. Thus, when we are working in equilibrium, we are concentrated on the pineal gland, which is Kether, the crown chakra, which is aligned together with the heart, which is Tiphereth and the power of the Shechinah, that in Malkuth, our physicality, is giving that union through Yesod. Behold here the importance of studying the Kabbalah, Tree of Life, to understand what is written in the books of Genesis and Exodus.

“These [Spirits] are the generations or [Archetypes and Elemental Gods are the] offspring of the heavens and the earth,” Genesis 2: 4 [Yet, the Hasnamussen or failure spirits of Malkuth] are gathered from the words: “And Aaron took them and cast them into the furnace and formed of them a calf.” Then said the Israelites: “These (אלה eleh) be thy Elohim, oh Israel” (Exodus 32: 4). On the day that all these different spirits [Hasnamussen] were exterminated, the Holy One along with the Shechinah created [the Sixth Root Race] the heavens and the earth anew.” - Zohar

The Two Pillars

Now let us continue, with the yin and yang in the two kidneys, because the angels of the sephiroth Netzach and Hod are the fires of the kidneys that relate to the following invocation:

“Angels of Netzach and Hod, establish me upon the cubic stone of Yesod.”

This alchemically means: “powers of the kidneys, establish me with more power upon Yesod, my sexuality.” When we study Taoism, we understand that the power of the sexual energy, the potency, lies in the kidneys. If we have healthy and powerful kidneys, we will always have a very powerful sexual energy, whether man or woman. So we have to always visualize our kidneys with the fire of Netzach and Hod; we also call them “Angels of Netzach and Hod,” because these fires are also relate to the elementals of Nature that help us to channel these creative energies in our bodies.

“ The elemental of the apple tree has igneous powers that sparkle within the aura of the universe… The Angel of the apple tree, governor of all the elementals of the apple trees, is the one who closes the door of one or more chambers of our spinal column. Then, the sacred fire descends one or more canyons in accordance with the magnitude of the fault.” – Igneous Rose by Samael Aun Weor

“ As the apple tree among the trees of the wood, so is my beloved among the sons. I sat down under his shadow with great delight, and his fruit was sweet to my taste. He brought me to the banqueting house, and his banner over me was love. Stay me with flagons, comfort me with apples: for I am sick of love. His left hand is under my head, and his right hand doth embrace me.” – Song of Solomon 2: 3-6

“ The Angel who governs the elemental life of the bamboo reed also has the power to welcome us into the Great Mysteries of the fire, or to throw us out of the holy temples.” – Igneous Rose by Samael Aun Weor

“ I saw also the height of the house round about: the foundation of the side chambers were a full reed of six great cubits.” - Ezekiel 41:8

“And he that talked with me had a golden reed to measure the city, and the gates thereof, and the wall thereof.” - Revelation 21:15

“And he brought me thither, and behold, there was a man, whose appearance was like the appearance of brass, with the line of flax in his hand, and a measuring reed; and he stood in the gate.” - Ezekiel 40:3

“ The Hierarchies related with the elemental department of the cedar tree have the power to open the door of Olin. This door is situated in the inferior orifice of the spinal medulla, and through it we enter the great mysteries of the fire.” – Igneous Rose by Samael Aun Weor

“ Open thy doors, O Lebanon, that the fire may devour thy cedars.” - Zechariah 11:1

LingamYoniStoneShivaShakti

This is why we see Shiva/Shakti from the Hindu pantheon. They are placed on that symbol that is called lingam/yoni in India that symbol is very common. When in India they worship the lingam/yoni, they pour milk on top of the lingam. Lingam is the phallus, and yoni is the vagina. So the vagina united with the phallus is called lingam/yoni. In other words, the best way to worship God is in the sexual act. The worst way to damn ourselves is to view the sexual act like a demon, adulterer, or fornicator, which is what humanity does in this day and age.

The real devotee of the Holy Spirit (the sephirah Binah, Shiva/Shakti) is the one who is established upon the cubic stone of Yesod, the lingam/yoni, which represents Shiva/Shakti, who in Christianity we call the Holy “Spirit and Mary,” and who in the old testament are represented by Abraham and Sarah. These are archetypes that we work with when we are in the sexual act. Shechinah is the Shakti. She is what the serpent of brass represents as a symbol.

brass-serpent

“And [Binah] Iod-Havah Elohim sent fiery serpents among the people, and they bit the people; and much people of Israel died. Therefore the people came to Moses, and said, we have sinned, for we have spoken against Iod-Havah Elohim, and against thee; pray unto Iod-Havah Elohim, that he take away the serpents from us. And Moses prayed for the people. And Iod-Havah Elohim said unto Moses, Make thee a fiery serpent, and set it upon a pole: and it shall come to pass, that every one that is bitten, when he look upon it, shall live. And Moses made a serpent of brass, and put it upon a pole, and it came to pass, that if a serpent had bitten any man, when he beheld the serpent of brass, he lived.” – Numbers 21: 6-9

In India, the brazen serpent is called Kundalini. Everything related to the invocation of Solomon implies worship to God.

Priesthood

tree-triangles

“The third triangle becomes very interesting because this is the Magical Triangle formed by the mind or Netzach, the Astral Body or Hod, and the Ethereal Body or Yesod, which is also the basic Sexual [Magic] principle of Universal Life.

“Why this is called the Magical Triangle? Undoubtedly, it is because High Magic is exercised in the kingdom of the mind and the kingdom of the Astral and even in the Klipoth or the Infernal Worlds.

“There is no doubt that Netzach is where we can find Hermetic Magic, and in Hod we find Natural Magic.” - Samael Aun Weor

The word “magic” that people often use in this day in age, comes from ancient language of Persia “mag,” which means priest. So when we talk about magic, we are talking about priesthood. The priesthood of the mind, the priesthood of the heart, and the priesthood of sex. Sexual Magic, Maithuna, is the priesthood of sex. In the heart is the priesthood related with the sephirah Hod, namely, masses, rituals, in which we invoke the forces of the Cosmic Christ in order to heal our soul. The sephirah Netzach is where we find hermetic magic, in which we utilize the powers of our mind in order to heal and help our neighbor.

The Bible talks about these kinds of priesthood in different parts, in different books. The Bible shows how the prophets utilized hermetic magic in order to help humanity. In the Bible and many other religions, we find many rituals of Hod, different rites and ceremonies that are performed in temples, synagogues, churches, mesquites, etc. So this is how we have to understand that priesthood is the same as magic.

We have to be established upon the cubic stone of Yesod (sex) because without chastity, the priesthood of Hod does not work, neither does the priesthood of the mind, Netzach.

Nevertheless, the negative aspect of these types of magic are in Klipoth (hell), and this is why Master Samael wrote that “in the Klipoth or the Infernal Worlds” we find people who utilize magic by their own whim, they are priests and priestess of all religions that are degenerated and who worship degeneration. In this day and age they are very common.

If we want to be assisted by the powers of God, we have to follow the commandments and work against the ego that we have within, because the ego that we have inside is that legion that loves degeneration. That is why we have to meditate.

Meditation, the comprehension and analysis of our ego, is a type of ceremony of Netzach, the mind. In meditation, the mind has to be concentrated on a particular defect or vice that we have, and with the heart we comprehend it. But in order for the heart to comprehend the mind, the heart needs to be filled with energy. That energy is called Christ. For that, we need to know how to sublimate the solar energy in the heart; that is the priesthood of Hod that we perform in Gnosticism in the Second Chamber. Hod is the light of the Lord, the solar light; thus, the solar light of Hod helps us to comprehend when we are performing meditation, the ceremony of Netzach, comprehending whatever we need to comprehend. Thus, chastity, the sublimation of the sexual forces of Yesod into Hod (the heart) and Netzach (the brain in our organism) is indispensable.

This is why in this day in age we find a lot of atheism, because atheists are fornicators whose minds are in darkness. They mock divinity because their minds cannot perceive divinity. It is obvious that the solar light of Hod does not exist for those who are blind, even though they feel the heat of the solar light but cannot see it. In the same way, the atheists experience life or that which we call God, but cannot see it, because their mind does not have the senses to perceive it.

Netzach (the mind), Hod (the heart), and Yesod (sex) form precisely the triangle related with priesthood. They relate to the three brains, namely, head, heart, and sex in our body; these have to be in activity for God in order for us to have spiritual results.

The Twin Souls and the Spirit

The next invocation relates to these spiritual results in the second triangle where we find our Spirit, spiritual soul, and human soul. It says:

“Oh Gedulael! Oh Geburael! Oh Tiphereth!”

All men dream of their princess, and women dream of their prince, their twin soul. Where is our twin soul? Indeed, our twin soul is inside, it is the spiritual soul that should mate perfectly with our inner human nature. Nevertheless, in order to find that spiritual mate, that union, we have to develop our human soul first.

Guinevere

In the meantime, we have to find in this physical world our particular animal soul mate, which unfortunately is not the spiritual soul mate - whether we are man or woman - that is always perfect and beautiful and that are symbolized in the great mythologies. why? Because first we have to achieve that beauty within our human soul; that is, we have to strive to “be perfect as our Father in heaven is perfect,” thus, thereafter, we can enjoy the union of the two souls in the Spirit, to have the Divine and the human inside of us.

Our animal soul in this physical world has anger, pride, greed gluttony, laziness, lust, envy, etc. So therefore, in our condition, when we ask for a soul mate, it is not a surprise that someone with lust, greed, anger, pride, gluttony, laziness and envy is given to us, because that is the condition of the soul that we have: animal. Therefore, we have to face the reality, and to work very hard in order to have in the future the joy of uniting ourselves with that beauty which is spiritual and which is very difficult to find in this physical world.

The prayer says: “Oh Gedulael! Oh Geburael! Oh Tiphereth!” These names are sephiroth that address our spiritual individuality. Gedulael means “greatness of God.” Geburael means “justice of God,” our spiritual soul. Gedulah and Geburah are the powers of our Innermost. Tiphereth means “splendor.” Gedulah and Geburah relate to the lungs, and Tiphereth to the heart, so these three are concentrated in the area of our chest, where we store the spiritual energy related to our individual Inner Being.

“If we analyze the second triangle, we find that it is Ethical. Why is it called ethical? It is simply because ethics or upright behavior is primed there. There, we know the might of the Law; there, we know good and evil, about what is good and evil. This triangle is the World of Pure Spirit, which is Atman, Buddhi, Manas—that is, the Hindu Trimurti. Obviously, the center of gravity in this triangle becomes at a simple glance the Human Soul, that Soul who suffers and who gives that human part to us; the Sephirah Tiphereth coincides with the Causal Body. This triangle is also denominated as the Triangle of the Son. Here we find the Cosmic Christ, Chokmah, who when so endowed manifests himself through the Human Soul, which is Tiphereth in the Hebraic Kabbalah.” - Samael Aun Weor

The Bible talks about the Son of Man. Naïve religious people always look at the sky, thinking that in the future someone will physically descend from the clouds, ignoring that the clouds symbolize the mysteries of the sephirah Tiphereth. The Son of Man will come in the mystery of the clouds, which are in the heart of the human being. In the heart is where the Lord unites with the human soul. This is why in Christian pictures you see Jesus wearing a crown of thorns and pointing at his heart. The crown of thorns symbolizes willpower; it is that pain that we have in the heart when we want to crystallize the virtues of the spirit and the soul in us; because unfortunately in our present condition the only things that come from our heart are evil things.

“But those things which proceed out of the mouth come forth from the heart; and they defile the man. For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies, etc.” – Matthew 15: 18, 19

The Son of Man in the heart says,

“Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done. ” - Luke 22: 42

Through the heart we fulfill the will of God, but through the heart we also fulfill our self-will, which is all the desires of fulfilling things contrary to what our Being wants for us. So, in this path, every initiate that is trying to perfect himself of herself wears the crown of thorns on their heart; within their heart they always fight; with their heart they pass through great emotional crisis; within the heart they want to acquire chastity, meanwhile they discover that they are lustful; within their heart they want to be sweet, but they discover that they are very angry; within their heart they want to be happy for the goods of the neighbor, but they feel envy for the goods of the neighbor; yes, within their heart they covet many things that they do not need.

“The struggle is terrible: brain against sex; sex against brain, and what is even more terrible and the most painful is heart against heart. You know this.” – Samael Aun Weor

So, the process of purifying the heart is very long. For that purification we need meditation, which is the daily bread of the wise in Netzach, who also needs the Eucharist, the bread of Hod, in the heart. From the heart emanates the rainbow bridge of Valhalla, the initiations of Tiphereth. The Son of Man is precisely the bridge between the intellectual animal and the superior man, who relates to the superior triangle; as Nietzsche said:

“[The son of] Man is [the human soul] a rope stretched between [Nephesh] the animal [soul] and [Neshamah – the Spiritual Soul, and even further] the Superman– a rope over an abyss [Daath]; a dangerous crossing, a dangerous wayfaring, a dangerous looking-back, a dangerous trembling and halting [towards the superior souls, Chaiah and Yehidah]. What is great in [the son of] man is that he is a bridge and not a goal: what is lovable in [the son of] man is that he is an over-going and a down-going.” - Thus Spoke Zarathustra

The Superman is the upper triangle of the Logos: Father, Son and Holy Spirit; Kether, Chokmah and Binah, the top of the Tree of Life. When we as Tiphereth are on this path, we are that bridge, the terrestrial man. We have to fill our souls with the super substantial bread of life in order to pass that bridge.

Let us remember Nordic mythology, how in order to go to Valhalla, the abode of the Gods, the Gods must walk on top of a rainbow. Have you seen a rainbow after a strong storm? Try to walk on top of a rainbow is not easy, right? Why not? It is because our ego is very heavy. In order to walk on that rainbow bridge, we have to be humble, because if we feel pride within our hearts, we fall upside down into the abyss. That rainbow bridge is made with the supersubstantial bread of God. That supersubstantial bread of God is light, it is Christ. The rainbow has seven colors; it is made up by the solar light, which is Christ within.

“Yeshua said unto them, I am [Eheieh is] the way [the bridge of light in Daath], the truth [in the heart], and the life [in Yesod]: no [son of] man comes unto the Father, but by me.” - John 14: 6

So, through Christ is how we go up and walk towards the top of the Tree of Life and beyond; thus, for that we have to develop the highest virtue of the heart, which is Martha, humbleness. So, listen, it is impossible for the proud and vain to walk on the rainbow, towards the top of the Tree of life.

Binah, Understanding

Now let us go into Binah, the Holy Spirit, which is the left Sephirah of the first triangle of the Tree of Life, and we say:

“Binael, be thou my love.”

Binael means “God understands.” In order for the Holy Spirit, the sephirah Binah, the understanding of God to descend and be our love, we have to work a lot on our lust. That is, we have to disintegrate our egos of lust in order for that love to descend. Nonetheless, the Holy Spirit is merciful, and as Shechinah descends according to our level. Here we find Kuan Chi Yin. The Divine Mother Kuan Chi Yin is Shechinah, the feminine aspect of Binah. Yes, the feminine force of Binah is the Holy Spirit, who as the Divine Mother Shechinah or Kuan Chi Yin descends into Malkuth.

KuanChiYin

“The sexual flame is without any doubt simultaneously a Jehovistic and Vedantic truth. The sexual flame is the Goddess of the Word always worshipped by the wise. When it awakens, it confers illumination unto us. The erotic flame confers unto us that divine wisdom which is not of the mind and which is beyond time. She is the one who gives the Mukti of final beatitude, and the Jnana [Knowledge; wisdom] of liberation.” - Samael Aun Weor

Jehovistic means that it relates to Jehovah. Jehovah appears in the Tree of Life in the Sephirah Binah as Jehovah Elohim. Vedantic means from the Vedas, from India, but we also find her in Taoism as Kuan Chi Yin.

In order to reach Binah, we have to resurrect. In order to have the grace of beholding our Divine Mother, we have to work a lot. She has no form, but takes any form that she pleases in order to appear before her devotee; she can appear in any shape, she can appear like a light, like a purple light in a circle, illuminating your mind. The goddess of all adoration has no form, but takes any form that she pleases. “Binael, be thou my love.”

Chokmah, Wisdom

Now, let us go to Chokmah, which is the Savior, the son, the Christ, the Cosmic force, located in the right Sephirah of the first triangle of the Tree of Life, and we say:

“Ruach Chokmael, be thou my light!”

MahadevVishnu

Ruach means “spirit” in Hebrew. Chokmael means “God’s wisdom.” Ruach Chokmael, spirit of the wisdom of God, be thou my light. That reminds me in this very moment of Solomon, when Iod-Hei-Vav-Hei Jehovah, which is Ruach Chokmael descended to him and asked him:

“And Solomon went up thither to the brazen altar before Jehovah, which was at the tabernacle of the congregation, and offered a thousand burnt offerings upon it. In that night did God appear unto Solomon, and said unto him, Ask what I shall give thee. And Solomon said unto God, Thou has showed great mercy unto David my father, and hast made me to reign in his stead. Now, Oh Jehovah Elohim, let thy promise unto David my father be established: for thou hast made me king over a people like the dust of the earth in multitude. Give me now wisdom [Chokmah] and knowledge [Daath], that I may go out and come in before this people: for who can judge this thy people that is so great? And God said to Solomon, Because this was in thine heart, and thou hast not asked riches, wealth, or honor, nor the life of thine enemies, neither yet hast asked long life; but hast asked wisdom and knowledge for thyself, that thou may judge my people, over whom I have made thee king: Wisdom and knowledge is granted unto thee; and I will give thee riches, and wealth, and honor, such as none of the kings have had that have been before thee, neither shall there any after thee have the like.” - 2 Chronicles 1: 6-12

Wisdom is the light of Chokmah, who in India is called Vishnu, and in Christianity is called Jesus Christ. The Aztecs called him Quetzalcoatl, Kukulcan among the Mayans, Viracocha in the Peruvian lands. Avalokiteshvara among the Chinese, as well as Kuan Yin, he has had many names.

“The Sephirah Chokmah of the Hebraic Kabbalah is the Cosmic Christ, the Christus. He is Vishnu among the Hindus. The Second Logos, Chokmah, is Love, the Agnus Dei, the Immolated Lamb; it is the fire that burns since the beginning of the world, in all of creation, for our salvation. Chokmah is fire and underlies the depth of all organic and inorganic matter. Solar energy is Astral Light. Its essence is the Christonic power which is enclosed in the fertile pollen of the flower, enclosed within the heart of the fruit of the tree, enclosed within the internal secretion glands of the animal and the human being.” - Samael Aun Weor

Thus, Chokmah is hidden within the sexual energy. Christ, Chokmah is life. So when we say, “Ruach Chokmael, be thou my light!” it is as if Chokmah is saying:

“If anyone wants to come after me, he must deny himself, and take up his cross and follow me.” – Matthew 16:24

To follow him is to sacrifice ourselves on behalf of humanity; that is Chokmah’s way, as that beautiful graphic of the Hindu pantheon depicts. Vishnu derives from the Sanskrit term visvam that comes from the root vis, “to enter.” Thus Vishnu means he who has created and entered into the entire universe, as the All-Pervading Reality. It can also mean that into which the entire universe has entered to remain therein established. Therefore, Chokmah is indeed a multiple, perfect archetype.

Kether, the Crown

“Be that which thou art and thou shall be, oh Ketheriel!”

We have finally reached the very top of the Tree of Life, the crown, where we find this beautiful image of Tonatiuh, which symbolizes the Elder of Days, Kether, the father of lights.

Tonatiuh

Ketheriel means “crown of God.” That crown is the Elder of Days, symbolized in different religions in many ways.

The Elder of Days, the sephirah Kether, is the one that said to Moses, “Eheieh Asher Eheieh,” which means “I am the one that I am.” We should say this as “He is what He becomes,” because the Elder of Days is an eternal becoming; that is why the invocation of Solomon says, “Be that which thou art and thou shall be, O Ketheriel!” Thus Kether, Tonatiuh, answers: ספירות אהיה עשר אהיה “I become the ten sephiroth.” The ten sephiroth emanate from the crown.

“Indeed, each one of us has in the depths of our consciousness a Venerable Elder. This is the First Logos. The Kabbalists denominate Him Kether. The Ancient of Days is androgynous, meaning man and woman at the same time. Kether is the first and last synthesis of our Being. The Elder of Days is the first terribly divine emanation of the abstract absolute space. The Ancient of Days is original in each human being. He is the Father; therefore, there are as many Fathers in heaven as there are human beings on earth. When the Ancient of Days reaches the realization of the ten Sephiroth in himself, these Sephiroth shine in the world of Light as precious gems, as resplendent stones within the body of the Ancient of Days.” - Samael Aun Weor

May we, one day, experience the Ancient of Days and know the will of that first part of our Being, which bears the highest level of consciousness. In order to achieve the level of Kether we have to do his will, “Oh Ketheriel, let us become thy will” is what Kether in this invocation of the wise Solomon is teaching us.

Now let us study this graphic where we find the world of formation and the world of the archetypes, with all of the different names that this invocation brings to us.

Remember, all of this is inside of us. It is also outside, because there are many angels who have developed all of this within them. This is why they are almighty (Shaddai). You want to become almighty? Develop all of the archetypes of Kether within, since you have all of those elements in potentiality, but not in activity. Jesus, Moses, and Mohammad have all of them in activity. These archetypes do not become in activity because you believe in Moses, Jesus, Mohammad, or in any other great master. These Masters came and taught us the way to develop the archetypes, and this is precisely what the wise Solomon, who is another master that developed the archetypes completely, delivered to us.

Thus, we continue reciting the invocation, and invoke the forces of Yetzirah (the world of formation) from the bottom to the top. We descend again at the level of Malkuth and say:

“Ishim, assist me in the name of Shaddai.”

In the world of Atziluth, the world of archetypes, Shaddai-El-Chai is the name of God in Yesod; this we have to invoke in order to work in the priesthood. The name Shaddai is very common in Judaism. When you go into any house of any religious person from Judaism you find on one of the sides of the door the name Shaddai written in Hebrew. Shaddai is translated as “Almighty,” thus before entering or leaving their home, they kiss it or place their hand on their lips and thereafter touch it, and utter the holy name of Yesod, which is Shaddai. The sephirah Yesod, the ninth sphere, is the door, the entrance into the Holy of Holies, because the number nine synthesizes all of what we are explaining here. So when we say, “Ishim, assist me in the name of Shaddai,” this means that we are invoking all of the angels that have reached that perfection in the world of Yetzirah; thus, we are asking for their assistance in the name of Shaddai. This means that we already know who Shaddai is: this means that we are practicing chastity with our spouse. This also means that we have started to sublimate the sexual energy; therefore we ask: “Ishim assist me in the name of Shaddai.” Any master of the internal worlds, of the White Lodge, is an Ishim. Ish means “man” in Hebrew. Ishim is plural; Ishim is often translated as “people,” yet not ordinary people. Ishim are the masters, initiates, who work in the magisterium of fire. So, the Ishim assist us in the name of Shaddai.

Once we are in Yesod, we go directly into the great powers of sex, called the Cherubim, and say:

“Cherubim, be my strength in the name of Adonai.”

Adonai is the name of God in Malkuth, in the world of Atziluth. Adonai is translated as “Lord.” Remember that the name Cherubim is written in Genesis in the Bible. After Adam and Eve ate of the forbidden fruit, Jehovah Elohim placed Cherubim guarding with a flaming sword the door of Eden, Yesod, sex.

“So he drove out the man; and he placed at the east of the garden of Eden Cherubim, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to keep the way of the Tree of Life.” – Genesis 3: 24

Thus, the Cherubim guard the entrance of Eden against the unworthy fornicators. Many esotericists say that the Cherubim that prevents the entrance of the unworthy ones into Eden is Lucifer, the sexual potency. The flaming sword that turns every way is in the blood that circulates in our body. When we are engaged in the sexual act, the blood is circulating, it gives us strength, it gives erection to the man, and humidity to the woman. Thus, when we are engaged in the sexual act, the blood circulates and “keeps the way of the Tree of Life” away from the impure. Thus, when the impure ejaculates the sexual force (which is the orgasm of the animals), they are then ejected from the Garden of Eden, which means “bliss.” But if they avoid the orgasm and transmute the energy into light, then the Guardian, the Cherubim, will say “Pass,” and thus they “enter into the temple of God, which edifies the mind and lights the splendor of eternal youth.” Yet, remember: the Cherubim has to assist you in the name of Adonai, the Lord; you have to know how to worship the Lord.

We continue reciting the prayer of Hod, which as the word habod means “glory” in Hebrew. Thus, we say:

“Beni Elohim, be my brethren in the name of the Son and by the powers of Sabbaoth.”

Beni Elohim is translated into English as “the children of God,” or the “children of the gods and goddesses” in Hod. “Be my brethren in the name of the Son [Chokmah],” which is the Cosmic Christ, the light of glory which in Hebrew is Hod or kabod:

“Who is this King of glory? Iod-Havah Sabbaoth, he is the King of glory. Selah.” -  Psalm 24: 10

Sabbaoth means “army” in both sephiroth Netzach and Hod in the world of Atziluth. The army is related to all those angels who are called the children of God, the Beni-Elohim that gather in the astral light. We invoke them in order for them to assist us in the work that we are doing.

Then we recite the prayer of Netzach and say:

“Elohim, do battle for me in the name of the Tetragrammaton.”

In Atziluth, the name of God in Netzach is Iod-Hei-Vav-Hei, the Tetragrammaton. Yet, in Yetzirah, the name Elohim relates to Netzach. So here we are invoking the Elohim, the angels of Netzach in Yetzirah, to do battle for us in the name of Iod-Havah, the Tetragrammaton in Atziluth. Netzach is our mind, so when our mind is invading us with unworthy thoughts, which are obstacles for our spiritual development, let us then concentrate on that part of the invocation and say “Elohim, Elohim, do battle for me in the name of the Tetragrammaton,” in order to eject those lustful or angry thoughts, or whatever unworthy thought that is bothering us, and is deviating us from the path towards Chesed, our spirit.

Then our reciting continues in Tiphereth by saying:

“Malachim, protect me in the name of Iod-Hei-Vav-Hei.”

We can also say, “Malachim protect me in the name of Iod-Havah.” In Kabbalah, Iod-Havah is the name Iod-Hei-Vav-Hei, that the Bible translates as Jehovah. Malachim means “kings and queens.” That is the literal translation. Yet in Kabbalah, we call Malachim any Master of the fifth initiation of Major Mysteries, who reached the level of Tiphereth. Malkuth is the first initiation, Yesod is second, Hod is third, Netzach is fourth, and Tiphereth is fifth. So anyone who reaches the level of Tiphereth is an angel, called Malachim in Hebrew. He is a King; she is a Queen. So, any master of the fifth initiation of major mysteries is Kabbalistically called an angel. So don't be confused if any master of that area is called an angel because Malachim are the three kings, the three wise men who received, in their hearts, the solar light of Christ.

In our hearts are three Christic levels that we have to develop. Here, we are talking about the level of Solomon, which is the golden man that in Greek is called To Soma Heliakon, the solar body of the Solar Man, or the golden body of the third king, the one who built the Merkabah.

Thereafter, we go into the Seraphim, which are the creatures that are at the level of the sephirah Geburah. In the Bible, the Seraphim are called “fiery serpents” because they are almighty powerful.

“Seraphim, cleanse my love in the name of Eloah.”

In order for us to understand how to clean our love in the name of Eloah, we have to know that in Hebrew Eloah means “goddess.” “Seraphim clean my love in the name of the Goddess” means that when we work with Yesod, the sexual potency of Geburah that descends from Tiphereth (our heart) through the blood stream, we have to say “my Mother, my Goddess, help me, clean my heart.” Because when the Seraphim descend from Geburah into the physical world, they become our Yesod, sexual potency. In the book of Numbers in the Bible we read:

When the Israelites were fighting for absolute chastity, they were bitten by the fire of the Seraphim, because they were incapable of controlling the fire of their sexual potency; therefore they were hurt in their souls. Moses said, worship the brazen serpent, which is Eloah, whose Sanskrit fiery divine name is Kundalini, the opposite of Kundabuffer, lust.

Then we enter into the sephirah Chesed and recite:

“Chasmalim, enlighten me with the splendors of Elohim and Shechinah.”

In the Hebrew of present times, Chasmalim means “electricians,” people that deal with electricity, but in Kabbalah Chasmalim is someone who controls the fluids of the sexual force completely. Chesed is the Ruach Elohim that hovers above the waters of sexuality.

“And [Chesed] the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.” – Genesis 1: 2

This is why we say, “Chasmalim, enlighten me with the splendors of Elohim and the Shechinah.”

In Hebrew, Tiphereth means “splendor.” Elohim means “gods and goddesses,” Shechinah means “divine presence, inspiration,” who as Eloah Va Daath abides in the fires of our heart; she is our Divine Mother, who we have to invoke.

Then, we continue our recitation in the sephirah Binah, and say:

“Aralim, act.”

The Aralim are the mighty lions of Binah, who fulfill the will of God.

Then we say:

“Ophanim, revolve and shine.”

Ophanim means “wheels.” They relate to the chakras of the right part of our brain; when those wheels are active we are very spiritual. Yes, we can penetrate into the world of the Spirit when all the wheels called chakras are active.

“Ophanim revolve and shine.” How do we make them shine? They are shine when we put our chakras into activity by means of the solar force. All of us know about the chakras or the seven churches which are in Assiah, our physicality; the seventh is the chakra Sahasrara, Kether, the crown; thus visualizing the very top of our head we say:

“Chaioth Ha Kadosh, cry, speak, roar, bellow.”

Chaioth derives from chaiah, which in Hebrew means “life,” and also “animal.” Animal derives from Latin anima, which means “soul.” Chaiah is singular, chaioth is plural; both words relate to the very living soul power of the elements. Thus, Chaioth are related with the four elements in conjunction. Chaioth Ha Kadosh means “holy animals” or “holy living creatures.” Kadosh means “holy or sacred.” Chaioth Ha Kadosh also means “the sacred animals.” When we say, “Chaioth Ha Kadosh, cry, speak, roar, bellow,” we are addressing the four elements.

  • cry, the air, the eagle
  • speak, the human, the water
  • roar, the fire, the Lion
  • bellow, the bull, the earth

Those four forces are represented in the sphinx of Egypt. The sphinx has the paws of a lion, roar; the legs of an ox or bull, bellow; the face of a human being, speak; and the wings of the eagle, cry. When we develop those four creatures called Chaioth Ha Kadosh, it is because we are very high in our development. The angels who are in Kether, the top of the Tree of Life, are almighty. When we invoke them we say: “Chaioth Ha Kadosh. Cry, Speak, Roar, Bellow.”

Then when addressing the very top of the first triangle, we say: “Kadosh, Kadosh, Kadosh.” Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are Kadosh, Kadosh, Kadosh.

Then, by focusing the central column of the Tree of Life that is our spinal column from the very bottom to the top of ourselves, we say:

“Shaddai, Adonai, Iod-Havah, Eheieh Asher Eheieh, Hallelujah, Hallelujah, Hallelujah, Amen, Amen, Amen.”

Shaddai is in Yesod, the foundation of all of these invocations.

Adonai is the name of God related to Malkuth, our physicality.

Iod-Havah is in Tiphereth, our heart.

And when we reach the top of our head, we visualize God the Father, who is Kether, and we say, Eheieh Asher Eheieh, which means, “He is what He is,” or “He is what He shall be.” When Kether utters Eheieh Asher Eheieh, he says, “I am what I am.” But since we are not Him yet, we say: “Be that which thou are and thou shall be, Oh Ketheriel” such is the translation of “Eheieh, Asher Eheieh. So, when we say it, it means “He is what He is.” Yet, when God said it from the top of the Tree of Life, it means, “I am what I am.” So understand that, and visualize it.

Thereafter we say “Hallelujah, Hallelujah, Hallelujah” by visualizing him in Daath, because He has the two polarities, Jah, man and woman, male and female, positive and negative of the Holy Trinity.

And by again visualizing the first triangle we say “Amen, Amen, Amen.”

So when you recite the invocation of Solomon, you have to visualize all of that, to comprehend all of that, in order for it to have strength, because if you just say it mechanically, by memory, without knowing what you are saying, it either does not work, or if it does work, it will be one or three percent effective.

Questions and Answers

Audience: How is Eheieh Asher Eheieh related to this invocation; how will that force become what He will become?”

Instructor: That force is going to become what he will become if we work in Alchemy. This means, as some initiates say, that God needs our help in order for him to be, Yes. God is within each one of us. He needs to be remembered from second after second. So when you say Eheieh Asher Eheieh, obviously you are addressing the higher part of yourself. Then He blesses you and descends as energy into you, obviously you are Him but you are the lower part of him. Thus, this is how you work. But obviously, when you reach that level, it is because you are doing what we have explained from the beginning, that is, the alchemical work, because this is how this invocation of Solomon works. It works together with the Tree of Life, and with the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil, which is alchemy, the two polarities and all the parts of the Being. A true master works with the two trees.

Betzaliel is one of the archetypes that we have to put into activity, which will work with the Arc of the Covenant which is in Yesod. That is the Holy of Holies, when you know that you work with him. And of course if you read the Book of Kings, when he describes the two columns of the temple, Yakin and Boaz, which are the man and the woman but also represent many other levels. We are explaining this in synthesis, we can go into each triangle, each Sephirah and explain it, because each is really very deep.

Audience: Who is Tutankhamun?

Instructor: Tutankhamun means “the glory of Amon,” in other words the glory of Amen: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit incarnated in him. To reach that level or for one incarnating Father, Son and Holy Spirit is to have the glory of Amen, which is the meaning of Tutankhamun. It is not easy to reach that level. First, let us incarnate the human soul, and then if we go deeper and deeper, we will reach the level in which we become a golden human, entirely; no defects, no vices, no errors, no sins… perfect, in the image of God.

When Tutankhamun reached the realization of his Being, his body was mummified as an honor. Somehow, his tomb was desecrated. The people that went into that tomb didn't understand all the symbols, and still do not. They had theories about all the symbols of Tutankhamun, but really if you want to understand Tutankhamun, study the life of Solomon in the Bible. Then you will really understand who he is.

Audience: About the cobra that is on the forehead of Tutankhamun?

Instructor: It is the cobra, but he also has a vulture’s head, which means that he reached absolute death, complete death of sin. He is not a sinful being. The vulture is a symbol of death in the mind. To achieve that and to have it on your crown, the cobra and the vulture, means that you have reached that level of perfection thanks to Saturn, Binah, the Holy Spirit, as a serpent, and Saturn as the vulture of death. This means perfection.

Audience: God as Father is wisdom, God as Mother is love. As father, God resides within the eye of wisdom. The eye of wisdom is located between the eyebrows. As love, God is found within the heart temple. Wisdom and love are the two pillars of the great White Lodge. Can we activate these two principles within us with IAO?

Instructor: To activate wisdom and love, we have to reach the world of Briah, because in the world of creation, we comprehend the duality of IAO, the trinity in Daath. Briah is controlled by the Son, Chokmah, Christ, wisdom. Thus, through Binah, the Father in the world of creation, Briah, the second triangle of the Tree of Life, becomes Sun, Sol, wisdom, and as the Mother Binah becomes the Moon, love. Thus, IAO works based on these two columns, which are really in the Sephirah Daath, which means “knowledge.” From Daath, you see Sol and Moon, Solomon on top of the two columns. In order to activate Solomon or the Sol-Moon, the two columns of IO, Binah, thus, we have to really activate, not only the two columns, but the central column. Because in the central column is the equilibrium of Daath, knowledge. This is why the holy name of Tiphereth, in the heart, the abode of the human soul - as you can see here in the world of Atziluth - is Eloah Va Daath Iod-Hei-Vav-Hei. Eloah means “goddess” in the heart, and Daath means “knowledge” of God, Iod-Hei-Vav-Hei, which is Iod-Havah, the two polarities related to Tiphereth. The mantra IAO unites the central column with the two columns. IAO is the holy name, the holy mantra in alchemy.

Audience: How do you define chastity?

Instructor: Chastity is the outcome of sexual transmutation. What people call chastity in this day and age is sexual abstinence. They think that to be chaste is to avoid sex, is to be celibate, not to do anything sexually. Yet, alchemically speaking, chastity means to transmute, to transform your sexual matter (sperm/semen) into energy, and to sublimate that energy to your brain through your spinal column, through Ida and Pingala, and also through Sushumna, the central column, the column of equilibrium. That is chastity. Obviously, when you are transmuting your sexual energy, you are putting into activity the other forces which are inside of you, because you are working from the very bottom, with the very foundation, which is sex. If you are discharging the sexual energy, misusing it, as everybody does in this day in age, you then are not chaste. So a chaste person knows how to retain it and transmute it. For this, you have to use willpower.

If you are single, you have to learn the science of the breath, called Pranayama. Those who are single have to learn how to channel those forces within themselves by knowing how to concentrate on their nostrils, the breathing, and to sublimate that energy through your two nadis, Pingala and Ida, in your spinal column.

If you are married, you have to do exactly the same thing, but in the sexual act, which is more difficult, because it is easy to sit down to concentrate and do your Pranayama and to pray to your Divine Mother for that energy to rise and to be transmuted. When you are sexually connected, you do exactly the same thing, yet, in the sexual act you have to deal with the energy of your partner, thus, you have to ask your partner for help; thus in order to do sexual alchemy you must help each other, etc. because each sexual organ is in activity. There is an erection in the man, there is humidity in the woman, and the fire is millions of times stronger than that of the Pranayama.

Thus, to sublimate the sexual force is what is called chastity. This is also call sexual magic between husband and wife, no adultery. We have to follow the rules of alchemy, which are the ten commandments.

Audience: The Pater Noster in relation to the chakras?

Instructor: If you want to learn more about the seven chakras, or the seven churches, read the Book of Revelation. The very beginning explains Kabbalistically and alchemically how to activate those chakras, in the same way that we are explaining here but with other language. The seven churches that are in Assiah, the physical body, to activate them is through the practice of chastity, this is the way that we also explained. So if you have the book “The Perfect Matrimony” by Samael Aun Weor, you can learn how to perform sexual magic as husband and wife. “The Yellow book” teaches singles how to transmute their sexual energy; that is the way to positively activate the chakras, the seven churches that are in Assiah. These relate to the seven senses that the soul develops when you start doing chastity. You then begin to develop telepathy, clairvoyance, clairaudience, polyvoyance, remembering of past lives, astral projections, and many other faculties that are indeed normal senses of any developed soul. When you are not a developed soul, you read on the internet and say, “Oh, astral projection, I would like to experience that.” But for the developed soul, astral projection is normal. So, chastity is the way to develop all of the powers of our Father who is in heaven.

Audience: What do you mean by matrimony?

Instructor: Matrimony is the sexual relation of a man and a woman, husband and wife; this refers to those couples that are legally married under the law of God, which is chastity. God is the creative sexual force, so once you perform the sexual act, you are united by the creative force of the Holy Spirit. If you like to legalize your union in social life, under any religion, in order to satisfy your parents or relatives, you can do it in any temple. The true marriage happens when the man enters the woman.

“This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called woman, because she was taken out of man. Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh. And they were both naked, the man and his wife, and were not ashamed.” – Genesis 2: 23-25

Thus, from that very first sexual act between them, such a union endures for eternity, even if they are not legally married under the law of men. Therefore, what God has joined together let no man’s law put asunder.
